“Oh my God! Your room is amazing. Classy and elegant, just the way I like it. I see now why you leave the office as soon as work ends. You got a pleasant unit to lounge into.” Ailee can’t help but say the moment she went inside Amber’s quarters. She’s feeling very ecstatic that Amber agreed to her proposition without hesitating. She wasn’t expecting Amber to give a yes without much thought, but she’s not at all complaining, since this is exactly her best case scenario.

“Uh... Yeah. Krystal was the one who made it like this.”

“Really? Well, she did a great job and I applaud her for that.”

“She is. She’s great.” Amber mumbled to herself wistfully.

“I beg your pardon? I didn’t catch what you just said.” Ailee asked, her eyes still busy scanning her surroundings while her bags are sprawled on the floor near the door, still unattended.

“Can you lend me a hand here Amber? Help me unpack all these please.”

“Y-Yeah. Sure. Sorry.” Amber scratched her head shyly, ashamed that she didn’t help at once and just stood there staring blankly into space while Ailee dragged her suitcases inside.

She didn’t expect things to go this fast. This is way too fast. Just hours after she decided Ailee’s proposition would be the perfect plan to enact Key’s advice, she got herself an instant new roommate in the person of her very own lady boss. To be honest, she did not expect things to turn out this way at all.

“Uhm... Miss Lee, uh, Ailee, if you don’t mind me asking, why do you want to share a unit with me? I mean, I’m pretty sure you can afford to rent an apartment by yourself. And, you don’t even know me that well at all.”

“Simple!” Ailee exclaimed, throwing her hands up in the air as she threw herself down Amber’s King-sized bed, not anymore minding her still unpacked luggage.

“What do you mean ‘simple’?” Amber asked cluelessly.

Ailee stood up and roughly pulled Amber to sit beside her at the edge of the mattress. She made the surprised girl face her before saying, “The answer is simple, Liu. I’m rooming with you and not all alone by myself or together with somebody else, because...”

“I like you and I want to get closer to you.”

Amber blinked her eyes in disbelief.

“B-But.” Ailee’s face is drawing dangerously close to her and if she don't pull back now and move her immobile body then the inevitable might--

‘Bang!’

The door opened, loudly and aggressively. Amber stood up abruptly and stepped away from the dazed Ailee.

“What were you two doing?”
