The next class period passed uneventfully, with me and SoHyun passing notes (friendly ones this time). When class ended, students from other classes started filing in to see their friends. It seemed as though news of my little outburst had already traveled through a good portion of the school. SoHyun was still getting eyed, but nobody was daring to act out with me next to her. I noticed a lot of girls crowding around Kris and Daehyun as they clowned around. Hmph. They seem pretty popular... The crowd of girls jumped in shock as the classroom door flung open with a loud bang. I looked towards the source of the noise, and saw two girls standing there; one glaring at the crowd, while the other stood behind her smiling sweetly. The first girl suddenly smirked and started walking towards the crowd – which dispersed instantly – and the second girl followed happily. The first girl suddenly sat on Daehyun’s desk while the other jumped on Kris’ lap. Aaanndddd here’s the school couple...well, two in this case. The first girl looked down at Daehyun, who was cowering. “So, Dae” she said, arms crossed. “I hear you’ve been fighting in class again. You do remember what the principal said would happen if you destroyed any more school property, don’t you?” Daehyun nodded solemnly. “Hey Sora, don’t worry about it.” Kris chimed in. “I gave you my word that I wouldn’t let him get in trouble again. And nothing was broken, except those two idiots’ pride.” Kris winked at me, causing Sora to look over at me, then quickly turn back and slap both Kris and Daehyun on their arms. “Ow! What was that for?!” Kris cried out. “You guys were fighting a girl?! Where’s your pride?!” Sora yelled. Daehyun busted up laughing as I busied myself by doodling with my broken pencil. “I think you’re mistaken babe.” Daehyun said, pulling Sora into his lap. “DoYeon there is very much a guy.” Sora looked at him in disbelief. “Are you sure?” “Very. He even fights like a dude.” I rolled my eyes. It’s called experience. Anyone can get it; even a girl. “But he seems like a cool guy. He only got in a fight with Woosuk and Jonghyo because they were picking on SoHyun over there. Of course, we had to chime in before he did anything worse to them.” “Wait,” the girl on Kris’ lap interrupted. “Himchan still has everyone bullying her?! What the hell? I thought that was over last month.” “Nope. You know how he is with his grudges.” Kris said, rolling his eyes. “That’s ridiculous! I’m going to go have a talk with him later.” The girl crossed her arms and looked over at SoHyun and I, watching us talk quietly to each other. Sora suddenly stood up and walked towards us, the other girl following closely. When she got in front of me, she stuck out her hand. I looked up at her and she smiled. “I’m Song Sora.” I hesitated, but then took her hand and smile shyly back. “I’m Kim DoYeon. It’s nice to meet you.” The other girl followed suit and shook my hand too. “I’m Choi Hyesu. It’s nice to meet you.” They sat down in the empty chairs in front of my desk and turned around to face me. “Don’t worry; even though those two idiots back there (“I heard that, Sora!”) are considered Himchan’s right and left hand men, they don’t actually agree with most of the things he does. They only agreed to work for him in order to stop a war happening between the regular students and Himchan’s men. They’re not actually bad guys. And Hyesu and I openly oppose Himchan’s reign.” The two of them snickered. “He can’t stand it, but the only reason he doesn’t get rid of us is that he doesn’t want to lose his two strongest fighters. Or those two sissies back there.” She winked at me as the two boys cried out in denial. I laughed, “Don’t worry; I think I can already tell they’re pretty good guys. So, who exactly is this Himchan character everyone talks about?” “Ah~ that’s right. You’re the new kid, aren’t you?” Hyesu asked. I nodded, and she proceeded to explain Himchan and his tyrannical reign over the school. “Long story short, Kim Himchan is the only son of one of the wealthiest CEO’s in this country. He’s a spoiled brat, and feels the need to rule over everyone. When he came here he decided to set up a monarchy, with him as the King. He blackmailed and bribed the teachers to let him do as he pleases, though he doesn’t care to ask them to do the same for any of the people he forced under him.” “Well,” I said. “He just sounds like a big bowl of sunshine, doesn’t he?” The two of them laughed and agreed with me. We talked for a little bit longer about random stuff, when Sora suddenly interrupted. “Are you sure you’re not a girl? I have a good eye for things like that, and I could swear you’re a girl.” I laughed. “I never said I was a boy, did I? Everyone just assumed I was. Yes, I am a girl.” Sora punched the air and yelled “Victory! Did you hear that Jung Daehyun?! I was right!” I laughed as SoHyun and Hyesu looked at me in shock. “What are you yelling about over there?” Daehyun called out, walking over with Kris. Sora put her arm around his shoulders and held her arm out towards me. “DoYeon here is in fact a girl! She just told me herself, you dummy.” “Eh?!” Kris and Daehyun took a step back, startled. I laughed and stood up, stretching out my hand. Blank, they both shook my hand. “My name is Kim DoYeon. I am a girl. It’s nice to meet you.” Still speechless, they both nodded in agreement. The bell suddenly rang, so Sora and Hyesu both said goodbye and ran back to their classroom while we took our seats once again. The next class started, and we went back to our own routines. I noticed Kris and Daehyun keep glancing back at me, still in disbelief, but I just stuck my tongue out at them and then laid my head down to take a nap
