“yeah, did you hear-”

“i know! that was horrible-”

“if i were in his shoes, i’d-”

the boys and soojung are busy chattering and laughing as they walk out of the store. there’s only a few hours before the christmas party and there weren’t enough props and foods to go with so the youngest kids in the group were assigned to buy the props—that includes the couple soojung and sehun.

as the oldest, kyuhyun excuses himself to get the car ready and tells them to wait right there. tao and jongin immediately gush over some funny incident they witnessed earlier, snorting and having hysterics. taemin’s on the phone with his girlfriend, his back on them. soojung is bored while sehun’s busy with his phone, too.

unable to contain boredom any longer, soojung turns to face sehun in hopes to cuddle for a little bit but is only met with disappointment when she finds out he’s preoccupied with his phone. she takes one, two steps toward him and pokes him on the arm.

sehun remains immobile, fixing his gaze on his phone.

“oi!” soojung tries again, poking both of his arms thrice this time.

but still no answer.

extremely bored to death, soojung crouches into a strange position, lifts her hands up high and starts dancing with no music. she chants oh sehun you dumb notice me please senpai i love you please notice me in a loud voice, unperturbed by the quizzical looks coming from the other guys, and continues to do that until she’s jumping and bouncing and yelling weird chinese words that don’t even sound chinese.

sehun looks up from his phone briefly, watching soojung make a fool out of herself, but the attention is fleeting as he drowns himself back to his phone.

disappointed and pouting, soojung stops and marches to him. she locks herself between his arms, wraps her arms around his torso and leans against his chest; sehun gladly accepts the hug but his eyes are still transfixed on his phone.

soojung then sings royals off-key just so she’d actually get his attention but that only makes sehun laughs yet his eyes are still on his phone.

“hey, ugly,” she mutters, resting her chin on his chest and pursing her lips. “you ugly you! oh sehun, you ugly piece of poop. sehun-sama, senpai, notice me. something-desu something desuka.”

sehun chuckles. “what are you doing?” he asks when finally (after years and years of hardship!!!—soojung likes to exaggerate) he diverts his attention on her. he hides his phone in the back pocket of his pants, resumes to wrapping his arms around her and places a sweet kiss on her lips.

soojung groans. “ugh, you loser. the things you make me do for you to notice me.”

“that was funny.”

“you think?” she retorts, rolling her eyes. “now my image is ruined.”

“i’d still love you though.”

soojung giggles. well, she wouldn’t mind that.
