He knew this wasn’t something he could just solve by avoiding the other, he really knew that, and he wasn’t avoiding the other at this point, but it was rather the fact that he suddenly felt curious about what women’s toilets looked like, which just so happened to be right after having heard Daehyuns voice bounce around the corner of the corridor.

He was so lucky that there wasn’t anyone actually inside the women’s toilets, although getting out unnoticed was a potential future problem, but right now, he still felt safer inside the women’s toilets than out there, where Daehyun was.

“I need some time off” Youngjae demanded, after entering the office room.

Chief Yoo just looked up, somewhat tired and aggravated at the demand made “And why are you telling me this? Go ask the-”

“No. I need it starting today, so find someone to cover me” Youngjae protested.

“Why should I?” Chief Yoo challenged him “Did you mess up?”

“No” Youngjae denied… yes… “Because there has to be at least some advantage for working under your father”.

“Fine” The Chief answered, after some thought, before adding a further sentence which Youngjae foreseen coming anyway “Just this time only”.

“Didn’t expect any more than this anyway” Youngjae answered cynically, before leaving the others office.

Having his father as the Chief, and working under him always made Youngjae feel like he had to push himself harder than other to meet the others expectations, but he soon found out, that no matter what he did, his father’s expectations were never something that he could meet.

It was always so clear that his father was giving him a harder time compared to anyone else in the team, and at some point Youngjae stopped caring, and began treating his father as just Chief Yoo, that everyone else knew. He never asked for favours, he only demanded what he would demand as any other investigator on the team, but today was a day when he felt the desperation to avoid Daehyun at all costs.

It was only two days and he couldn’t take it anymore, he was standing outside Daehyuns house, and he knew it had to be today… or later today, - as he turned to head for a tent stall that sold drinks, there was no way he could speak to the other sober, even more, when he wasn’t too sure what he wanted to say to the other himself.

Should he just tell Daehyun that he liked him, and just get it over and done with? Or the fact that he felt like he wanted to sleep with the other… and not in a hand holding kind of way…

He only wanted to drink a little bit, not too much for it to turn into his usual poison, but just enough to gain some courage to face the other. By the end of the bottle, he was sure that facing Daehyun required a lot more courage than he thought, because he was already ordering a second bottle.

As time went by, his senses become more and more sluggish, along with his blurry vision… just how many bottles did he drink?

“Nooo!!!” Youngjae almost screamed, wide eyed - feeling bewilderment rush through his body from the situation he was currently in.

“Too late for regrets now” Daehyun answered to his cry in somewhat indifferent tone. Despite his panicky outburst, Youngjae could clearly see from Daehyun’s expression, that his behaviour in this moment have hurt the other.

“Why didn’t you stop me!?” Youngjae went further on, somewhat whining, as he still panicked at the thought of what happened whiles he was drunk, finding himself grabbing Daehyuns shoulders and looking the other in the eyes.

It was now so clear how hurt and lost for words Daehyun was. “Y-You can still leave” he answered with a shaky voice, and Youngjae could clearly see tears forming in the other’s eyes.

“What do you mean leave?” Youngjae retorted “You don’t understand” he shook his head, as he tried to explain to the other “We are going to have to do it again”.

“D-do it again?” Daehyun repeated the words confused, as he narrowed his eyes “Do what again?”.

“Sleep together!” Youngjae answered as if it was an obvious answer “I wanted to sleep with you whiles I was sober…” Youngjae continued to explain in a disappointed tone, as his arms dropped to his side and he leaned forward to rest his forehead on the others shoulder.

They were both in Daehyuns apartment… in Daehyuns room… and in Daehyuns bed… and clearly …

It was silent, with none of them saying a word, except for the sound of Daehyuns sobbing and occasional hiccup.

“Are you crying?” Youngjae asked calmly, not moving an inch.

“N-No” Daehyun answered in a muffled voice. 

“So how about it?” Youngjae repeated the offer again “Should we do it again now?”.

“Do you have a death wish?” Came a too familiar quote from the other, and Youngjae could feel shivers going down his spine.

He really must have been a masochist without being fully aware of it himself, otherwise, why would he come back to Daehyun so willingly?

This might just be the last chapter, since I feel it would be safer to end it here, seeing how slow I am at updating this story, and how if I continued this story, it could get dramatic, and angsty before actually ending on a good note... (it's already 27 chapters, and nothing really even happened yet...)

Not sure what to do anymore... *rocks back and forth in a corner*
