The Call Out Order
“Ah” Youngjae moaned, as leaned back in his chair and looking out the office window. “You’re still going to say that nothings bothering you?” Himchan asked curiuosly, with one eyebrow raised, as he looked over at Youngjae “You been sighing since yesterday, and still dare to say that it’s nothing”. “It’s really nothing” Youngjae reassured him, as he got out of his chair “I’m going to get coffee” he finally said, as he headed out. “It’s always you and your coffee time when you have problems” Himchan pointed out in a loud voice.
To tell or not to tell… If he told the rest about Daehyun, would they act just like he is, or would they avoid him?. Though to think, he was avoiding Daehyun himself, even if he has been pretending to himself to be neutral about Daehyuns so called secret.
“Ah” He gave out another sigh as he took out a coin from his pocket. “Do you want to change partners or do you want me to move to another station?” He heard the familiar voice that startled him, making the coin fall out of his hand. “Ah…” Youngjae began not really sure what to say as he looked over at Daehyun “I-It’s fine” he finally uttered, somewhat surprising himself with his own answer.
“Fine” Daehyun answered firmly, with that expression on his face, which Youngjae could never read “If you do at any point, just tell me”. Youngjae just nodded twice, as he watched the other turn around and walk off, without any further word.
Even if he said he’s ok with it all, knowing that Daehyun liked men… was still not something he could accept that easily.

“Come on guys” Kim Bum yelled as he ran into the office and towards his own desk to grab his gun holster belt. “We will need guns?” Himchan raised his voice in surprise. “Yeah” Kim Bum nodded “Some crazy dude just kidnapped his ex-wife and is hiding somewhere in Eunpyeong-gu, so they’re calling all local police stations to help and search for them” Kim Bum said loudly for everyone to hear “The pictures of the kidnaper and his ex-wife will be given to us when we get there, so for now we just need to get ready”.

“For now we blocked off all the roads leading out of Eunpyeong-gu, and have asked for all the residents to lock their doors and not to go outside” The police officer informed them and he handed out the pictures of the two “The suspect is known to have a gun, and a knife” he warned them “He had shot the husband of his ex-wife, so do not hesitate at any point, because he is a dangerous man”.
“Great” Himchan retorts as the police officer walks off to hand out the pictures to the new arrived group of officers, “Why do investigators have to do this type of job, when they could just have a simple police officers do it”.
“Anyway… we need to split into two groups” Cha Seon reminded them. “Let’s go with the usual partners” Himchan said happily as he put his both hands around Cha Seons and Kim Bums shoulders “Let’s go!”.

‘This is just great’, Youngjae though sarcastically, as if it wasn’t enough now that the awkwardness between the two increased, this couldn’t possibly get any better. “Let’s-…” Youngjae began as Daehyun quickly cut him off “…stay quiet” he hissed at the other. Youngjae could only squint his eyes; the other should be glad that he wasn’t a blabber mouth and hasn’t told anyone about of what he knew.

They walked around the streets aimlessly for what seemed like hours. It was already dark outside and Youngjae had long lost the purpose of this whole search, as he trailed behind Daehyun; the whole time in silence. “So hungry” Youngjae moaned as he rubbed his stomach, till he felt Daehyun quickly grab onto his shirt, as he signalled with his finger over his mouth and then pointed towards the end of the gully, where the dumpster laid.
Youngjae now began to listen, as he heard a sudden a sneeze coming from that dumpster, as they both silently walked towards it, with their guns already out and pointing towards it.
*Bzzz… bzzz… Na na na naa-*
‘’ was the only thought as Youngjae grabbed onto his pocket where his phone was ringing, in false hopes of silencing it; with Daehyun looking back at him wide eyed in surprise.
Then… the dumpster lid shot up, catching their attention back, to only feel things being thrown at them as they tried to cover their faces with their arms; and then Daehyun could feel himself being pushed back onto Youngjae as the man ran off.
“” Daehyun cursed, quickly getting up off Youngjae as he began to run after the guy, with Youngjae getting up off the floor and also following straight after. “Seooreung ro!” Youngjae shouted into his walkie talkie “The street near the park” he shouted again “We found him!”.
Youngjae ran quickly looking everywhere, trying to see if anything moved around, till a loud scream filled his ears, as he froze, turning to the direction the scream came from. Within seconds his feet began moving again, as the pace gradually increased and he turned the corner, to see Daehyun sitting against the wall and near him a man cuffed to gate, as he wriggled around trying to free himself.
…that’s all that he wanted to see, yet he knew it wouldn’t stop the blood that was coming out from Daehyun’s side stop; as he watched how the others hand was clenching over the wound with the obvious pain and fear written on the others face as Daehyun looked up at him. No matter how tough he taught Daehyun seemed to him before, this image before him just made him realise that Daehyun was human after all…
