As Wooyoung and Dara made their way into the familar yet foreign cafe, the girl was surprised that she didn't feel she thought she would She had expected to be sad when they arrived at Day by Day cafe but instead, she was blank from emotions. The ex-couple sat in a roomy corner of the shop, where they used to reside together on their dates; it was also harder to overhear their conversation in the obscure space.

"So what did you want to talk to me about?" He asked after ordering their drinks

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"You know what." Dara fiddled with her hands uncomfortably.

"Come on Dara, you're still not over that?" At his words, the girl feel her eyes awash with new tears, not one of sadness or weakness, but of anger.

"Why are you making this sound like I'm the messed up one here? You're the one who snatched my feelings, smashed them against the floor and snubbed the life out of them with your soles!"

"Hey, calm down! You're making me sound like a massive jerk!" Wooyoung exclaimed.

"Your point? Isn't that exactly what you are, if not worse?" the girl retorted fiercely. She was in no mood to beat around the bush and it took her all her self control to not slap him right then and there.

"If it is of any consolation, I didn't mean to trick you at first. The first time that I flirted with you I was sincere, it was only after that...--"

"-- Oh yeah, 'cause that's totally makes me feel better!" Her sarcasm was so heavy you could see it dripping off of her words.

"Dara, I know what I did was wrong ok, but I know you weren't sincere about me either. So when Yoona offered that little deal, I went for it."

The girl didn't respond, resorting to just staring a hole through his head.

"I'm not justifying what I did. But if I was serious about you, you would have been the one playing me because you never really loved me at all."

"But you didn't have to say all those cruel things to me, you said you were only using me without any shame!"

"The thing is after I became more involved with Yoona, I found out that I actually liked you more than I thought and maybe some where along the lines of our dysfunctional relationship, I fell for real." the boy's voice started to waver, "I knew, of course, that you didn't like me back so I had to cut you loose, let you go in a way so that you would open your eyes and see me for the person I was. I know it was stupid, but I convinced myself, that even if I lost you, there was Yoona, and i would rather that than live a lie."

Dara stared at him, shocked at the revelation. He continued, "That night, I went to your house without thinking. It was the same night I broke up with Yoona, I can't lie to myself any more. There was the tiniest bit of hope in me that perhaps, you might take me back, or even love me for real the second time around. But you already have someone else..."

The girl interrupted him at that point. She informed him regretfully that GD was not her boyfriend but that she was telling the truth when she told him that Jiyong and her were just friends. Her ex picking up her sad tone asked her whether she would have liked to be something more, the question was returned with a shrug.

"I coudn't bring myself to start thinking about someone in a romantic sense until I regain my faith in people." The brunette explained, "Thanks for taking the time to talk to me Wooyoung, now that everything is out in the open, I feel a sense of closure. I'm sorry I don't return your feelings, even though I whole heartedly agree that what you did was completely idiotic I know you did it out of good intentions."

Wooyoung nodded understandingly in return, "It's ok Dara, it seems that we have missed our chance. I hope you find someone who will treat you right this time around."

The girl nodded gratefully and the ex couple exchanged a friendly hug that communicatedly so many things: regret, gladness, reminiscence, forgiveness and finality. It was over. "You too Wooyoung. You too."

With that the two left the cafe in good spirits, unaware that they were watched.

"Hey GD, we haven't hanged out in ages, how about grabbing an iced-americano at the cafe close by before we swing by the arcade?"

"You're on Bae! Let's go buddy!" Jiyong wrapped an arm around his bestfriend's shoulder before half-dragging him to the coffee shop they often went with the rest of Bigbang. Taeyang smiled good-naturedly at the slightly younger boy's eagerness and ran to catch up.

Jiyong's glowing face dimmed the moment they walked inside Day by Day, his friend unaware of his change in mood continued to joke around until he realised the boy beside wasn't laughing. He followed GD's gaze; immediately he knew what had spoiled his mood. It was Dara, and she was hugging another boy that Taeyang had never seen before. He was about to turn back and ask whether Jiyong was ok, but the other boy has already sprinted out of the small coffee shop. 

GD ran until he was completely out of breathe, doubled over, he tried to calm his erratic heart-beat; his throat was dry and his chest ached sharply, whether from all physical exertion or from the scene he had just witnessed, he didn't know. All he knew was that, he was in terrible pain, and every breath brought a new wave of it. 

What is Dara doing with that bastard?!

Soon his feelings of anger and shock were replaced with sadness and resentment, above all, though he knew well that the girl didn't belong to him, he felt betrayed... A steady hum from  his pocket woke the boy from his daze. He fished his phone out of his pocket.

Caller ID: That girl

It's her. Without a hint of hesitation, Jiyong hit the 'IGNORE' button.
