7:05 A.M. PARK RESIDENCE

"Bommie, it's time to get up." Dara said quietly to Bom while shaking her gently, she knows her friend will definitely be grumpy if she was woken up abruptly.

"hmm...iwondaaslleeeeppllllooooga" Bom muttered a string of incoherent gibberish which Dara was able to translate into [I wanna sleep longer].

"Come on, Bom we can't be late for school on the first day of the year!", the girl tried to talk some sense into her bestfriend.

"Dunnn carree..." Bom slurred.

Dara was tempted to pour some water on the sleeping figure to wake her up, but luckily for both of them she decided on a better plan that won't land her in hospital.

" Fine Bom I will go roast some corn now, and if you don't come down in time and the corn gets cold, it's not my fault."

"What? Did you say corn?" Bom was suddenly wide awake.

Dara watched as her friend began to chomp down on her fourth cob of corn. She was glad that Bom had her hearty appetite back, when she had just broken up with her ex-boyfriend, she could only manage to eat one cob of butter-corn in one meal! And that was definitely worrying. Dara's parents were overseas at the moment both on different expeditions that was related to their area of expertise. Her dad was invited to join a research team in England to discuss and create the cure of the latest type of influenza while her mother was going to Europe to find "inspiration" for her newest masterpieces and also to judge an art contest. On the otherhand, Bom's parents were taking care of her sick grandmother so she was staying with Dara and her unnie, Byul for the time being.

Speaking of Byul; "Dara, I'm going out with DongWook oppa tonight, don't wait up and make sure to go to sleep early neh?"

Dara nodded, only half listening, too absorbed in staring at her sneakers, she can't shake this weird sensation that is pooling at the pitch of her stomach. She shook off the feeling, I am probably just dreading the first day of year 11 Dara reasoned to herself.

Suddenly, she felt a painful jab at her side, Bom really doesn't know her own strength she thought.

"Stop daydreaming Rabbit! Let's go! We can't be late for school on the first day of the year now can we?" Bom chuckled at her friend's sour face before half dragging her out the door.

Ehh, this Bom, and using my words against me too...

8:00 A.M. KWON RESIDENCE

*BEEEHHHH*  *BEEEHHH*  *BEEEHHH*

Jiyong was just about to press the snooze button again when his sweetie pie went and sat on his head.

"AHHH, Gaho get off me...! I can't breathe!" the poor dragon shouted into his pillow. After what Jiyong thought was an agonizing hour ( 5 seconds in reality), the sharpei, lifted its off of its owner's once beautifully-styled hair which now resembled a bird's nest.

"What on Earth Gaho? All I have ever done is love you, why must you hurt me so?" GDragon complained in a mock-sad voice while looking at his dog which is desperately trying to his face.

Anyways, all trace of sleep has now disappeared after that LIFE-THREATENING experience. And Jiyong hurriedly pulled on a random pair of jeans and a casual t-shirt. He grabbed a bottle of mineral water and a large apple on his way out of the house before his mother could scold him for skipping breakfast.

Something interesting is going to happen today, he thought, he never had a sixth sense, but he could tell something is going to be different and he can't wait to find out what.
