“Hello?” Yoochun spoke to the receiver.

“He’s not picking up.” The person on the other line said…

“So…you called me?” Yoochun replied.

“I just thought that you might be together.” The girl on the other line answered.

“I’m not with him. Why did you call all of a sudden?”

“You’ll know soon. See you tomorrow.”

Then the call ended.

“See you tomorrow?... … She’s back?!”

-The Next Day-

Others still hate you, and say bad words behind your back, but you still ignored them. And as expected, the rumors slowly died down. It’s another school day and you don’t expect too much that something interesting will happen.

*whispers*

“There will be a new student?”

“Yeah, I heard she’s a girl.”

“I also heard that she came from New York.”

“Is she a foreigner?”

“No, she’s Korean. She just went there for study.”

“Ah, I can’t wait to meet her.”

*whispers*

*A new student? From New York? I wasn’t expecting this.* You kept your thought to yourself.

-At The Rooftop-

“Jae, there’s something I need to tell you.” Yoochun appeared.

Jaejoong is as usual standing there and looking around.

“What is it?”

“HYUNG! You need to know something!” Changmin blurted, gasping for air.

“Did you run?” Yoochun asked.

“Yeah, it’s kinda urgent.” Changmin said still gasping for air.

“What’s up with you two? So early in the morning and you both have urgent news for me.”

“She called me last night, Jae.” Yoochun spoke first.

“Who called you last night Yoochun?”

“She told me that she keeps on calling you, but you won’t pick up.”

“So, she called you?”

“Yeah, she even told me, see you tomorrow.”

Jaejoong and Yoochun just looked at each other.

“Hyung, a new student will be entering today. Guess who.” Changmin spoke when he was finally calm.

“Oh, that’s why she said see you tomorrow.” Yoochun said.

“Hyung, she’s here, she’s back!”

“She’s…back…”

-HALLWAYS-

“Jaejoong, you okay?” Yoochun asked.

Jaejoong remained silent.

“Hyung! What are thinking of?” Changmin asked this time waving his hands in front of Jae’s face.

“Nothing. I’m fine.” Jae replied.

Then they spotted you leaning on a wall, spacing out.

“Hey!” Yoochun poked you.

“What are you doing there?” He asked.

“Oh, nothing.” You answered.

“Did you have breakfast already?” Changmin asked.

You nodded.

“Are you okay?” Yoochun asked.

“Yeah. Why?”

“You seem bothered. Are they bullying you again?”

“Uh, no Yoochun-ah. Thanks!”

Yoochun flashed you a smile.

Then you looked at Jaejoong who’s staring at space.

“Is Jaejoong okay?” You asked Yoochun.

“I don’t know, he’s thinking of something.”

“What?”

“You’ll find it out soon.” He replied with a wink.

“Hyung, let’s eat! I’m hungry!” Changmin whined.

“Fine, fine. Let’s go.”

Yoochun and Changmin started walking.

“Jae, you not coming?” Yoochun called.

Then, slowly Jaejoong walked towards them.

“Don’t think too much hyung. She’s not even here yet.” Changmin said.

“You might wanna take that back.” Yoochun said.

“Why?... She’s here!”

They all turned their heads to the young lady standing at the entrance of the hallway, wearing the school’s uniform, with a bright smile on her face.

The girl spotted Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Changmin and started walking towards them.

“Jaejoong-ah!” The girl hugged Jae… “I miss you Jae!”

“Joo…YooRin…” Jaejoong managed to speak her name.

“YooRin-ah, you only missed Jae?” Yoochun teased.

“Of, coursed I missed you too Chunnie-ah!” She gave Yoochun a hug too.

“And I missed Changminnie too!”

“I missed you too YooRin-ah!” They exchanged hugs.

“When did you arrive?” Jaejoong suddenly asked.

“The day before yesterday. I tried to email you and I even called you.”

“Sorry, for ignoring your emails. I was busy.” Jaejoong answered.

“You can’t even message me, or even answer my call, or text me back?” YooRin pouted.

“Sorry.”

“Ah! YooRin-ah, are you hungry? Wanna join us for breakfast?” Changmin asked.

“Sure! I’d love to! It’s been a while!”

You stared at their backs as they slowly walk away from you.

Yoochun turned back and said, “I forgot something.” You saw him walking towards you.

“Join us, -----ah!”

“B-but…”

“Don’t decline.” You two started walking.

“Oooohh, Who’s that? Is she Yoochun’s girlfriend?” YooRin asked.

“No. She’s a friend.” Changmin said.

Jaejoong noticed that Yoochun was holding your wrist.

“Let’s go!”

-In the Cafeteria-

You sat with them on a table at the very back of the hall.

Changmin was eating peacefully, shoving food into his mouth.

“You’re still the same Changmin.” YooRin teased.

“Of course, I love eating!” Changmin replied.

“I still wonder why you don’t get fat at all.”

“Exactly! I wonder that too.” Yoochun teased too.

You felt awkward, you don’t know who that girl is, and you feel out of place. You also noticed that Jaejoong is not talking. *I think I’m not supposed to be here.*

“Hi! Sorry I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m Joo YooRin, I’m their friend too.” The girl said.

“I’m _______. Nice to meet you.” You said shyly.

“Nice to meet you too.” Then she shook your hand.

*She seems nice. I think she wants to be friends with me too.*

“-----ssi, you and Yoochun seems to be close, what’s your relationship?” She asked.

“Uhm, we’re friends.” You answered.

“We’re just friends YooRin-ah, don’t think too much!” Yoochun said.

“YooRin-ah, why did you suddenly come back?” Jaejoong finally talked.

“I’m getting bored in New York, and my dad said I need to see you guys. I prefer Korea anyways.”

“I…I see.”

“Are you not happy to see me Jae?” YooRin asked.

“No, I’m very happy. It’s nice to see you.” Jaejoong smiled at her.

“Did you miss me?” YooRin asked again.

“Of course!”

“I’m so happy that I returned.”

“We’re happy too YooRin-ah!” Changmin said.

You still feel awkward and out of place, since they were talking about YooRin’s time when she was in New York, and they talked about the things that they missed doing with each other. They seem to forget about you.

“Are you okay -----ah? You don’t like the food? Today’s menu kinda !” Yoochun whispered to you.

While Jaejoong and Changmin were busy talking with YooRin, you didn’t expect that someone still noticed you. Yoochun was actually observing you.

“I’m fine, I don’t feel like eating.” You whispered back.

You noticed Jaejoong and YooRin talking freely to each other, smiling and laughing.

You suddenly felt a sting in your chest, like something struck you.

*I need to leave. I feel awkward.*
