“Why do you even care?! You shouted.

“Fine! Do whatever you want to do! Why would I care anyway?!” Jaejoong shouted back.

Tears fell from your eyes, and then you ran away. ...

“Maybe she’s just upset and feeling bad.” Yoochun said as he walked off.

“Yeah, come on hyung let’s change. PE time is over.” Changmin said following Yoochun.

Jaejoong saw your iPod on the ground; he picked it up and said,

“It’s seriously damaged.”  Then he placed it in his pocket.

After changing back to your school uniform, you realized that your iPod is nowhere to be found. You searched for it, but couldn’t find it.

“Oh God, I lost it. My dad would be upset, if he finds out I lost it.”

You tried searching for it again near the sink where you last went.

“Where is it?”

Then the bell rang. You decided to go back to your classroom.

The afternoon went by really fast, and classes ended at 4.

“I need to find it. I’ll be dead if I don’t find it.” You darted out the room and tried searching for it again at the school yard.

-At The rooftop-

Jaejoong stood there and he saw you.

*She must be looking for this.* He thought as he holds the gadget in his hand.

“Jae, we’re going to Starbucks for some drink, wanna come?” Yoochun asked.

“I need to go somewhere to do something.” Jae replied.

“Where? Let’s go together.” Changmin said.

“Uh, no need. I’ll go alone. Go to Starbucks first, I’ll catch up later. I’ll call you.” Jaejoong said.

“Okay, call us.” Yoochun said before leaving with Changmin.

“I shouldn’t have shouted at her, now I feel guilty.” Jaejoong said to himself.

“I’ll make it up to her.” He said looking at the iPod touch in his hand.

“Ow!” You felt a sting on your hand again. You saw your wound. Then you remembered what Jaejoong said,

“Fine! Do whatever you want to do! Why would I care anyway?!” …

Feeling depressed you just left.

-In an electronics shop-

“Hyung!” Jae called when he entered the shop.

“Jaejoong-ah, what brings you here? Are you looking for new, cool stuff?” A guy in mid-twenties approached Jaejoong.

“Hyung, I need your help.” Jae said.

“What do you need? We have the latest model of gadgets that just arrived.” The guy said.

“Hyung, I don’t need those anymore, I already have them.”

“Really? That’s too bad. So, what do you need then?”

“I need you to make a repair.”

“A repair? Why do you need it to be repaired, if you can afford to buy a new one?”

“Hyung, it’s not mine. It needs to be repaired ASAP.”

“Wow! This is the latest model of iPod touch; this was released just two weeks ago. Who owns it?”

“My friend.”

“Your friend is rich.”

“That doesn’t matter. Can you repair it?”

“Woah! The LCD is broken, it needs to be replaced.”

“I know, can you do it? You’re an expert, remember?”

“Of course I can repair it Jae. But it would take time.”

“When can I get it?”

“Hmmm…when do you need it?”

“As soon as possible.”

“Then, you can get it tomorrow.”

“Really? That fast?”

“Why? You don’t want fast work?”

“No, I’ll get it tomorrow, just make sure it’s fully repaired.”

“Sure!”

“How much should I pay you?”

“Are you asking me of money, dude?”

“Of course I need to pay, right?”

“No, you don’t need to pay, for you it’s free.”

“Seriously?”

“Yeah! Trust me, I’ll make this as good as new.”

“Thanks hyung, you’re the best!”

“Of course I am”

“Take care of it, okay? I’ll be going now Yoochun and Changmin are waiting for me.”

“Take care Jae!”

As soon as Jae left the store he gave Yoochun a ring.

“Yoochun-ah, which Starbucks are you in?” Jaejoong said to his phone.

“The one near school.” Yoochun replied.”

“I’ll be right there!” Jae said, then he hung up.

“It hurts…it’s not fine at all…” You said to yourself.

“I even lost my iPod…” You started to cry…walking your way home.

“That was a present from my dad during my birthday just two weeks ago…now I lost it.”

-At Starbucks-

“What took you so long?” Changmin asked.

“Uh, I went somewhere.” Jae answered.

“Where did you go?” Yoochun asked while taking a bite of a cheese cake.

“Doesn’t matter. What’s good to drink?”

“You still mad, Jae?” Yoochun asked.

“Mad?”

“You were angry at -----ah.” Changmin said.

“I was not angry.”

“Then why did you shout at her?”

“I…don’t know.”

“Then, let me ask you this…”

“What?”

“Why do you care so much about her?”

Changmin and Yoochun stared at Jaejoong with full curiosity, waiting for his answer.

“I…don’t know.” Jae answered.

“Hyung…do you like her?” Changmin asked.

“What do you mean, like?”

“As in like…like her?!”

“Uh…no.”

“Don’t tell me, brotherly love?” Yoochun asked.

Jaejoong chuckled. “What?...no. Like as a friend.”

“Oh.”

(The Next Day)

You entered the cafeteria, hoping to grab some food when you heard gossips about you again; well you can hear them now, since you lost your iPod. You decided to go out.

But this girl tripped you.

“Ouch!” *What the hell!* You screamed in your head.

“You think you can escape this time?” A girl asked.

“You got guts !” Another cursed.

You just looked down.

“You think, because of your innocent looks, you can have them?” The girl said.

“What are you talking about?” You decided to talk this time.

“Don’t act!”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You defended yourself.

Then…*slap* you were slapped by the girl.

“What did I do to you? Why are you treating me like this?” You said, enduring the pain you’re feeling.

Just then, the three guys showed up.

“What’s up with the crowd over there?” Yoochun asked.

“Bullying.” Jaejoong said.

“Those devils!” Changmin said.

Then Jaejoong approached the crowd, followed by the other two.

“Know your place girl. You trash!” Then the girl pushed you.

You landed on the floor, the others laughed again.

“HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT TO HER!!!” A loud voice was heard, echoing in the entire cafeteria.

“Kim Jaejoong.” The girl said.

“Kim Jaejoong…Yoochun…Changmin.” You said.

“Who the hell are you to say that?!!!” Yoochun shouted.

Everybody was shocked.

“And who gave you the right to bully this girl?!!!” Changmin shouted.

“YOU!” Jaejoong pointed at the girl who slapped, his eyes staring with coldness and anger.

“…are the trash here, not her.” Jaejoong said.

“Let’s go, -----ah.” Jaejoong said, as he helped you get up.

“Jaejoong-ah.” You said in a low voice.

“It’s fine now, let’s go.” He said.

-At the Rooftop-

You were sitting on a bench while Jae’s standing at your side.

“Th-thank you.” You started.

Jaejoong didn’t respond.

“Are you angry?” You asked with hesitation.

“I just want to give you this.” Jaejoong said, then he left at once.

You looked at the box he left beside you.

You opened it, and…

“It’s…my iPod. It’s fixed.”

Then you saw this note it says, “SORRY”

“Kim Jaejoong…”
