After a while… they were all awake. YoonJi and YooRin helped you make lunch.

“Wow! This is so good!” YooRin exclaimed after tasting.

After a while everyone gathered again, and they started eating.

*Actually I don’t know who to root for.* YooRin thought looking at Jaejoong and Yoochun.

You were trying to reach the bowl of soup, when Yoochun was going for it too. You hands touched.

You instantly pulled and turned to the other side.

Yoochun chuckled. *She’s so cute!* YoonJi giggled when she saw this.

“What’s so funny?” Jay asked.

“Oh, nothing.” She replied.

“Excuse me.” Someone said.

Heads turned to the direction of the voice. “Ahjusshi!” You and Karam exclaimed.

The man wearing a black suit bowed.

“Ahjusshi, it’s Saturday. What brings you here?” Karam asked.

“I’m sorry for coming over so suddenly, I didn’t know you have guests.” The man said.

“It’s okay ahjusshi. Did something happen?” You asked.

The man looked over at Karam and he glanced at you.

“HyunChul.” He called then he lowered his head.

Karam stood up, he glanced at you before going out with the man.

“Who was that?” YoonJi asked.

“He is the one in charge of us, while our father is out of the country.” You replied.

Mika immediately followed Karam out. “Hyung!” Jay called. “Just stay.” Mika said before leaving.

…

“What? Ahjusshi, what did you just say?” Karam asked with worries in his eyes.

“Your father… he is sick in the hospital right now. Your mother already knows this and she went to France this morning to check. I decided to tell you.” The man said.

“Ahjusshi, is this true? What happened? Why is father sick? What is his sickness?”

The man sighed. “Don’t worry too much HyunChul-ah. It’s not that serious. I think after a week, your father will be healthy again.”

“How did this happen?”

“He collapsed after a board meeting. The doctors said, it’s because of too much stress.”

“I know that father has a heart problem. I need to go see him.”

“But, HyunChul-ah. How about ------ah.”

“I don’t want her to worry. I won’t let her know this. If she knows, she will be worried to death.”

“I know so, what will you do?”

“I will go to France. But I won’t let ------ah know why.” Karam said in a serious voice.

“If that’s your decision, I can’t do anything about it. When are you leaving? I’m coming with you.”

“I’ll go as early as this afternoon. Thank you ahjusshi.” Karam said.

“How will you tell ------ah?”

“Don’t worry about -----ah that much.” A voice was heard.

“Mika hyung!”

“HyunChul-ah, I know I can’t stop you from leaving. So I will take care of -----ah, don’t worry.”

“Promise me hyung, you will take care f her.”

“I promise, and you won’t be long there right?”

“No. I’ll be back, maybe Wednesday of next week.”

“Don’t worry, I will take care of -----ah, and the others are here too.” Mika said giving him a smile of assurance.

“Thanks hyung, I know I can trust you.”

“HyunChul, I’ll arrange a flight for you at 2 PM, so get ready by that time. I will fetch you here.” The man said.

“Yes, ahjusshi, thank you. See you later.”

The man left and Karam and Mika returned in.

They were all still in the dining room, waiting.

“Hyung, what did he say?” Jay asked when he noticed Karam’s serious, worried expression.

Karam didn’t say anything, he looked at you.

“Oppa, what happened?” You asked.

“Tell her the excuse we made up.” Mika whispered.

“What did ahjusshi say?” You asked, becoming impatient.

“Is it about dad?” You asked again.

Karam was surprised because you guessed right.

“Uhm, yeah.” He said, forcing a smile.

“What happened to dad?” You asked.

“Nothing! Uh, I need to go to France -----ah.” Karam blurted.

“What? Why all of a sudden?” You asked, shocked.

“Hyung! Why are you going there?! Are you transferring?” Jay asked.

“No. Why the heck would I transfer?”

“Then why?” You asked.

“Dad…wants to see me.” Karam blurted.

“Why?” Jay asked this time.

“It’s business. Uhm… he wants me to join a meeting.”

“Why? You’re just a senior… you haven’t even entered college yet, oppa.”

“It’s a course I need to take. It’s like a rare opportunity, and now I got it. So…”

“I…see… when are you going?” You asked again feeling sad.

“This afternoon at 2.” Karam replied.

“What? Can’t you go tomorrow, oppa?”

“I can’t, I need to leave today. Don’t worry I’ll be back Wednesday next week.”

“Okay. Say hi to dad for me.”

“Silly! Mika and Jay will be staying here with you, so don’t worry okay?”

You nodded with a smile. Karam hugged you. Mika winked at you.

After a minute… “I need to pack.” Karam said then he headed upstairs.

“I need to know the truth here.” Jay said to Mika.

“Come with me.” Mika said as he dragged Jay out.

“What was that?” Changmin asked.

You just shrugged.

“Are you okay with your brother leaving?” YoonJi asked.

“No.” You simply replied.

Jaejoong noticed sadness in your eyes. He wanted to comfort you, be he doesn’t know how.

That afternoon, the man came again.

“Ahjusshi, take care of my brother, okay?” You said.

“Sure, ------ah. You take care of yourself too, stay out of trouble.” The man said.

You smiled.

*I’m sorry for lying to you -----ah, but I can’t tell you anything.* Karam thought.

“Oppa, take care.” You said.

*I’ll miss him.” YoonJi said inside her head.

“Don’t worry, he’ll be alright.” Mika said to her.

YoonJi instantly blushed.

“You take care too.” Karam said to you. He looked at Mika, and Mika gave him a nod.

He kissed your forehead gently before entering the black car.

“Oh, I’ll say hi to mom for you too.” He said.

“You never said anything about mom being there too.”

Karam just gave you a wink and he said, “Goodbye!” The car left.

That afternoon too, Jaejoong, Yoochun, Changmin, YooRin, and YoonJi left.

“I think I will go back there later.” YoonJi blurted.

“Why?” Changmin asked.

“------ah is sad, she needs company. I think Mika and Jay sunbae won’t do.” She said.

Yoochun is driving. “Okay. I think so too.” He said.

“So, we’re going back there later?” Changmin asked, excited.

“What about a surprise?” YoonJi suggested.

“That would be fun.” Yoochun agreed.

“Yeah, let’s have surprise visit!” Changmin agreed too.

Yoochun immediately called Jaejoong.

“Jae.” He said.

“Yeah? Why?” Jae asked on the other line.

“We’re planning a surprise visit later. Wanna join?”

“Surprise visit?”

“To visit -----ah! She seems sad.” Yoochun said.

“Oh, okay. I’ll come. YooRin will come too.” Jae agreed.

“Okay! Let’s meet at my house at 6, let’s go there together.” Yoochun said.

“Okay. See you later.” Jae said. Then they hung up.

“Where are we going?” YooRin asked.

“They’re planning a surprise visit to -----ah.” Jae said.

“I see.. That would be fun!” YooRin said sounding excited.

“We’re meeting at Yoochun’s house later at 6. See you there.” Jaejoong said as he dropped YooRin off.

YooRin gave Jae an OK sign.

Jaejoong was smiling as he drove off, knowing he would see you again.

*I need to seriously confirm my feelings for -----ah. I can’t be rivals with Yoochun.* He thought.

…In your house…

“It feels empty.” You said.

“Yeah, earlier it was so fun and noisy, but now they’re gone.” Jay said with deflated shoulders.

“Yeah, I wish they will come again later.” You said in a whisper.

“Don’t be sad -----ah, me and Mika hyung will play with you.” Jay said trying to cheer you up.

“Thanks Jay oppa.” You said smiling at him.

Mika just came in after a phone call.

“Who was that hyung?” Jay asked.

“Oh, it’s nothing. It’s a secret.” Mika said with a wink. He went to the kitchen.

“Oh come on hyung, who was that?” Jay demanded following him in the kitchen.

You laughed. Then after a heavy sigh you slowly climbed the stairs into your room.

…

“Jay, make sure you won’t tell -----ah.” Mika said.

“Sure hyung! I promised to not tell her what really happened in France, so I won’t tell her this either.”

“YoonJi just called me, and they will be visiting again later, it’s a surprise for -----ah.”

“Wah! I see. That would be fun, another party!” Jay exclaimed.

“Don’t be too loud!” Mika scolded.

“Shhhhh.” Jay placed a finger across his lips.

…

“I hope nothing bad happens in France.” You whispered.

“I wish my friends were here… I feel lonely.” You whispered again.

You decided to take a  nap.
