Monday came, you and the others decided to throw a Welcome Home party for Karam.

“They will be here at exactly 8 PM.” You said.

“What cake should we bake?” YoonJi asked.

“You bake?” Jay asked.

“We do.” You and YoonJi answered in unison.

“Cool! I can’t wait to taste it!” Changmin exclaimed.

Mika and YooRin cooked the food, while you and YoonJi baked.

Yoochun and Changmin went out to buy drinks.

While Jaejoong and Jay helped in the kitchen too.

“Jay, can you wash the vegetables?” Mika asked.

“Hyung, do you even cook?” Jay asked, in shock.

“I do, I’m not like you, who only knows how to cook ramen.” Mika said.

“Whatever you say, hyung.” Jay said as he went to the sink to wash the veggies.

The others laughed at his childishness.

You asked Jaejoong to crack some eggs… you watched Jaejoong do it…

Jaejoong slowly grabbed an egg…

“Is it your first time doing this?” You asked.

Jaejoong looked at you with his big, round eyes and nodded.

You laughed, “You can do it, try first.” You encouraged.

“What if I mess up?”

“I’ll teach you.” You said.

During Jaejoong first try, he use to much strength and he crushed the egg.

“Wash your hands, its messy.” You teased. “Try again.”

In his second try…

“Jaejoong-ah, we don’t use the shells, we only need what’s inside.” You said.

“Sorry.” He said.

“It’s okay, try again.” You said, smiling.

“Should I?”

You nodded.

Finally in his third try he got it…

“Nice! You got it!” You said, then you clapped happily like a child.

Jaejoong chuckled, “Are you that happy?” He asked.

“Yes, I am!” You replied.

Then, after that you cracked some more eggs with Jaejoong.

“This is actually fun!” Jaejoong exclaimed.

You giggled. “I learned this from my mom when I was 12.”

“I see… you must be really good then.” Jaejoong said.

Soon, Mika and YooRin finished cooking and Yoochun and Changmin were back. You asked YoonJi to leave the rest to you and she agreed.

You saw Jaejoong looking inside the oven excitedly.

*He looks like a child right now.* You felt your heart racing again. You can’t help but smile at his cuteness.

Then, Jaejoong unexpectedly looked at you…

“What are you smiling at?” He asked.

You looked away and said, “Nothing.” 

Jaejoong chuckled. “I think it’s done.”

Soon, you started decorating the cake… Jaejoong pouted while observing, then he noticed your hair touching the icing.

“Wait, your hair will get messy, it keeps on getting icing.” He blurted.

He got a hair tie from his pocket, he went behind you and started tying your hair.

A first, you were so shocked at Jaejoong’s actions, you couldn’t say anything…

“Where did you get that?” You asked.

“I found it.” Jaejoong answered.

Jaejoong tied your hair into a ponytail… you felt your cheeks getting warm…

Jaejoong smiled and said, “You’re pretty.”

This time, you’re sure you’re blushing. “Thank you.” You said.

Jaejoong smirked. *She’s blushing…that’s so cute.*

Soon, the cake was finished.

Jaejoong’s eyes brightened… “Wow! This is fantastic! It’s pretty… just like the one who made it.”

You giggled. “Thanks! Do you think it will taste good too?”

“Of course! Well, it’s chocolate.” Jaejoong said. He gave you a thumbs up.

*We were unexpectedly close, today… I don’t know why, I just feel happy.. so happy!*

Without a reason, you and Jaejoong stayed in the kitchen.

“Are you happy?” He asked.

“Very.” You replied.

“That’s good. I’m happy too.”

You smiled, he smiled back. Jaejoong suddenly laughed…you stared at him.

“Why?” Jaejoong questioned.

“I like the way you laugh…”

Jaejoong felt his heart skipped a beat… “Uh, why don’t we join the others? I think they’ll be here soon.”

“What were you doing hyung?” Changmin asked.

“We just finished making the cake.” You said.

You saw Yoochun smiling at you, you smiled back. You sat beside him.

“It’s great! I’ve been wanting to go here. But, I never had the chance to…” A guy said.

“My sister wanted to see you too…let’s go…”

After a while…

“Omo! It’s been a while… you’re so handsome.” One of the lady housekeepers said.

“Thanks ahjumma.”

“Go inside, they’re waiting.”

“Why are the lights off?” The guy asked.

“It’s a childish trick..” Your brother answered.

Karam and the guy entered the house quietly…

“They’re here!” Mika whispered.

“Where is the freakin’ switch?” Karam searched for the walls…

“Its still the same here..” You heard a familiar voice.

The lights started to flicker.

“They really have to do this?” The guy said again, blinking his eyes to adjust.

“Welcome back!” Everyone yelled.

Karam laughed, “Thanks!” He said.

You stared at the guy beside your brother…

Everyone was shocked because of a sudden appearance of another guy…

“Who’s he?” You heard YooRin asked.

“This is my surprise…” Karam jerked his head towards the guy.

Your eyes widen in surprise… the guy looked at you from head to toe…

“Yah! Hyung! Yah! Why are you here?!” Jay exclaimed in shock. “Is this for real? Or are we dreaming… an illusion or something…” Jay approached the guy and started touching his face to confirm.

“It’s real Jay…” Karam said with a chuckle.

“Yah!... yah… you… Choi Minho… you…” Mika stuttered in shock. He shook his head, pointing at the guy.

“It’s been a while, Jihwan-ah, Suhoon-ah.”

“Hyung! How did you manage to get this guy back here?” Jay joked.

The others just watched the scene, clueless…curious…

You and the guy stared at each other for minutes…

“-----------ah…” The guy spoke…

You were speechless, still too shocked to speak…

“Mom has another surprise… that’s why she’s not here.” Your brother spoke breaking the silence.

“Where is she?” You finally asked.

“She’s in Jeju…” Hearing this your face fell.. “We’ll go there during the next vacation.”

“Is that true?” You asked.

“Yeah. Its true… but, don’t you miss each other? Why don’t you talk?” Karam said looking at Minho.

“He’s so handsome.” YooRin whispered.

“I’m so curious, who’s he?” Changmin whispered.

“Maybe a cousin or something…” Yoochun said.

Jaejoong didn’t say anything, YoonJi was busy staring…

Minho chuckled, “Are we just gonna look..” He was cut off… when…

“I missed you so much! I’m so happy you’re back.” You said hugging him.

Minho was stunned, then he hugged you back. “I missed you too..” He whispered.

“Why are you so tall?” You asked pulling from the hug.

“Why are you… so… short…” He joked.

“Ahhh! I’m not!” You protested.

“You’re so pretty, just like before when we last saw each other.” Minho said.

“Which was 3 years ago.” You added.

“You’ve grown a lot…”

“You too…”

“Curious?” Mika asked the others..

“They’re childhood friends… they’re really close. HyunChul hyung… ------ah, and Minho hyung grew up together…” Jay said.

“HyunChul met us, then we became friends.. that’s why we know each other.” Mika said.

“Later on, Minho hyung went to France to study there…” Jay said.

“Ah , I see… they seem really close.” YooRin said.

After some time, they started eating and Minho got close to them at once.

YoonJi and Karam were sitting beside each other, talking…

“How are you?” Karam asked.

“Good.” YoonJi replied.

“Oh. What did you do last night?”

“Nothing much, we were just eating and playing…”

“Did you gain weight? You look different.” Karam joked.

“Really? Did I?”

“I was joking.” Karam said.

YoonJi laughed. “Not that funny though.” YoonJi teased. Karam laughed too.

Across them, you and Minho sat. “Are they dating?” Minho asked.

You giggled. “Yah! Why didn’t you tell me you got a girl?” Minho asked Karam.

“That’s because I don’t have a girl…” Karam answered.

“Then, who’s she?” Minho asked again, eyeing YoonJi.

“She’s --------ah’s friend, my friend too.” Karam replied.

“Oh, I thought you’re dating her.” Minho blurted.

Karam and YoonJi blushed deep red.

Everyone looked at them. “Hyung! You’re too obvious!” Jay exclaimed.

Karam just looked away.

“So, who are you with?” Minho asked you.

“What?” You asked, confused.

“The guy in the left or the guy in the right…? Don’t tell me that one beside Jay?” Minho said.

You looked at the left and saw Yoochun, you looked at the right and saw Jaejoong. You saw Changmin beside Jay, stuffing food in his mouth. You finally got what he’s saying.

“I’m guessing not the one beside Jay.” Minho stated.

“What are you talking about?” You asked.

“Yah, are you really that uninterested in love?”

“No, I just…”

“Yoochun or Jaejoong?” You’re confused…” Minho said.

You gasped, “How did you know?!” You exclaimed, in shock.

Every head turned to you.

“Wow! You actually fell for the trick, so you do like someone.” Minho said.

“So, you didn’t know… wait, what? Why are you doing this to me?”

“I’m smart, huh? I thought you’re smarter. So, who do you like most?” He asked again.

“I don’t! Just eat.” You said, annoyed.

“What are you talking about?” Changmin asked.

“Nothing.” Minho replied. You sighed.

“You’ll have a hard time… they’re both… good-looking.” Minho said.

“They’re both caring and good too…” You added.

“Do you like both of them?”

You nodded.

“So, you admit.”

You were caught in your words again.

“Fine, I do like them both.” You replied.

“The question is… who do you like most? You just need to observe first, then decide later.”

You looked at Jaejoong and Yoochun, *I like the two of them… who do I like the most…?* You placed a hand on your chest and felt your heartbeat, *It’s normal right now.* Then you saw Yoochun laughing, you felt something different. When you looked at Jaejoong who was eating peacefully, you felt the same thing… *What is happening to me? When did I start feeling this way?*
