“WEIRD.” You whispered to yourself.

You sat at your chair and you heard two girls whispering behind you.

“I heard she’s adopted.” A girl whispered.

“Really? Is that true?” Another girl asked.

“Yeah, everybody’s talking about it.” The girl answered.

You turned your head and just looked at them.

They cleared their throats and just walked away.

*Adopted?...She?... They were gossiping about an adopted girl..? And everybody knows, except me…* you thought.

-At Break time-

You walked to the hallway and opened your locker to get some books when some students surrounded you and filled the hallway. You turned around and saw a girl walking towards you, she spoke,

“Hey you, I heard you’re adopted.”

You just looked at her with wide eyes, no idea what she’s talking about.

*What’s she talking about?*

“Uhm…Are you talking to me?” You asked.

“DUH! Are you stupid?!” The girl said and the others laughed.

“But, I am not adopted.” You responded.

“No need to hide it, be honest.” The girl said with laughter.

“Those are just rumors, they’re not true!” You defended.

The students just laughed.

“You know what you’re really funny!” Another girl stated.

You spotted a friend among the crowd,

“---ah! Help me, tell them it’s not true you know it right, tell them it’s a lie, it’s just a rumor. You are my friend, and you know I’m not adopted.” You said to your friend.

Your friend didn’t say anything; she just looked down and ran away.

“See, even your friend hates you now.” The girl said.

You dropped your books on the floor in shock.

“No, she won’t hate me, she was just scared, and we’re friends.” You said in a low voice.

“I guess not anymore, she just ditched you.” The girl said.

You started gasping, holding your tears back.

“Let’s go guys, let’s just leave the loner alone.” Another girl said.

“Well, a loner should be alone, right?” Another girl said.

The students left you alone in the hallway.

You slowly bent down and started gathering your books, tears started to fall from your eyes, and you wiped them.

“I can’t believe this is happening to me.” You whispered.

-In The cafeteria-

Yoochun sighed while sitting down.

“Poor girl.” He said.

“Why? Did something happen?” Changmin asked while stuffing food into his mouth.

“A girl was bullied earlier at the hallway. I was just passing by though; I am not part of it. Yoochun said.

“Really? Who?” Changmin asked again with food in his mouth.

“I don’t know.” Yoochun answered while grabbing a piece of pizza.

“Jaejoong hyung! You’re not gonna eat?” Changmin asked.

Jaejoong whose eyes are glued to a book he was reading answered, “I will.”

After taking a bite of a pizza, Jaejoong stood and started walking.

“Jaejoong, where are you going?” Yoochun asked.

“I’ll just get some air.” He answered with a wave.

“Ah, he’s going to the rooftop again.” Changmin said.

Yoochun nodded. “Let’s go with him.” He said.

“Why?” Changmin asked still stuffing food into his mouth.

“Its just too crowded in here.” Yoochun replied.

-At the Rooftop-

Jaejoong closed the door behind him; he walked to the railing and looked up to the sky.

Then he looked down and saw two girls talking.

“---ah, you didn’t speak because you were scared, right?” You asked.

Your friend just shot you a look.

“You ran away because you were scared, right?”

“Scared? Scared of what?”

“Of them.”

“Why would I be scared of them?”

“Because…, anyway, you need to tell them the truth, you need to help me ---ah.”

“Why should I?”

You were shocked at this question.

“Because, we’re friends, friends should help each other, right?”

“Friends? Since when?”

“---ah…”

“I don’t remember being friends with you.”

“Why are you saying that?”

You tried to grab her hand, but she slapped your hand away.

“Don’t come near me anymore. Act like you don’t know me, okay?”

Then your ex-friend left.

Tears started to form in your eyes, your friend just left you.

“AH! That’s the girl that was bullied earlier.” Yoochun suddenly appeared behind Jaejoong.

Jaejoong turned around to see Yoochun and Changmin.

“What are you guys doing here?!”

“To get some air, it was too crowded in the cafeteria.” Yoochun said.

“Is she okay?” Changmin asked while into a lollipop.

“Of course she is not, she was bullied, who wouldn’t feel bad about that.” Yoochun said.

“And she lost a friend.” Jaejoong added.

“Poor girl, I hope we can help her.” Changmin said

“Who said we can’t.” Yoochun stated.

“So are we?” Changmin asked again.

“Uh-huh.” Yoochun replied with a nod.

“You’re gonna help too, right Jae?” Changmin asked.

Without a reply, Jaejoong just sat on the ground and started reading his book again.

“We’ll take that as a yes, let’s go Changmin.” Yoochun said.

Then Yoochun and Changmin left Jaejoong.

“Why is the weather so perfect today?” Jaejoong said with a sigh.

-At the school yard-

“Changmin-ah, we need to find the traitor first.” Yoochun said, while looking around.

“Oh, you mean the friend.”

“Well, she’s not a friend anymore.”

Changmin narrowed his eyes, when he saw a familiar girl walking to their direction.

“Hyung! I believe that’s the girl we’re looking for.”

“You’re right. It’s the traitor.”

“She’s coming this way.”

“HEY YOU!” Yoochun called.

The girl stopped walking.

Yoochun and Changmin approached her.

“Aren’t you guys, Park Yoochun and Shim Changmin?”

“Well, who else?” Changmin said.

“What do you want from me?”

“YOU TRAITOR!” Yoochun shouted.

“What the- .. Me?”

“Who else would be?”

“What are you talking about?”

“How could you betray your friend like that?!” This time Changmin shouted.

“Why are you shouting at me?!” The girl shouted back.

“BECAUSE YOU’RE STUPID!” Changmin shouted again.

“WHO ARE YOU TO CALL ME THAT?!” The girl answered, shouting.

“STOP SHOUTING!” Yoochun shouted last.

“He shouted first.” The girl said pointing at Changmin.

“Anyways, we just wanna let you know, that you are a really bad person.” Yoochun said.

“And you are a traitor; I can’t believe you would betray your friend like that.” Changmin added.

“But,…” She was cut off, when Yoochun said,

“That’s all we want to say, so, see you around.”

Changmin smirked and left with Yoochun.

“I can’t believe these guys!” The girl said as she stormed off.

“HIGH FIVE!” Changmin and Yoochun said, and did so.

-Back at the rooftop-

Jaejoong heard the door closed, he saw a girl walking to the railing.

*Ah, that’s the girl.* Jaejoong said in his mind.

-sobs-sobs-sobs-

You began crying, you’re feeling hurt and betrayed.

“I won’t be affected, those are just rumors, and ---ah turned her back on me because she didn’t want to be affected too …right?” You whispered to yourself.

You tried to hold back your tears *gasping* but they just won’t stop escaping.

“You know what, you’re kinda disturbing my peace time.” A guy suddenly said.

You were shocked you didn’t know anyone was around.

Jaejoong sitting a few meters away from you, looked at you.

You turned around to see him, you gasped.

“I’m so sorry; I didn’t know someone was here.” You said.

You hurriedly wiped your tears away. You stood up, getting ready to walk away.

You were expecting for him to say something bad, but you were shocked when he said,

“It’s fine, I know You have some problems. You just need to let them out.”

You looked back at him…

Jaejoong flashed you a smile.

*He…he’s smiling at…me.*
