The Cursed Twins

Yunho looked at his newborn twins in admiration, fascinated by their pure and small features. He never  imagined himself to be a father of such beautiful angels. No, they weren't  normal princes like him. They were more than that. They did not glow with fire like other normal Fierras and they absolutely did not cry for water like Lamillas. No, they just didn’t and they were surprisingly quiet.

He was panicked at first when he cannot sense any trace of his ability or Boa’s in them but Lumia, the healer and also a guardian from Lamilla told him that it is normal for them to be like that since they are a mixture of fire and water that obviously did not go along with each other.

“You mean, they do not have any abilities like us?” Yunho asked as he tried to calm himself down.

He eyed his twins worriedly, afraid that the curse that has befallen onto them was the cause for this weird phenomenon to happen. Every child in Tamara would be able to show their power and ability as soon as they were born onto this world, except for the people of Orpheus. They were the only people in Tamara who do not possess any abilities or special power but they knew dark magic and they lived their life with dark spells and hatred. They were never an enemy for the people who have abilities like Yunho but they made them an enemy of their own.

“I don’t remember saying anything similar to that, your Highness, prince of Fierra.” Lumia answered with that smooth tone of hers. She was a graceful lady who is older than Yunho and she has these small yet fascinating eyes that suit her small features really well. Her wavy brown hair brushed her shoulders as she titled her head a bit, looking at the twins who were still sleeping soundly on their baby crib. Yunho's eyes widened, surprised by her words yet he could not find a reason to be mad at her. Her words have always stung him but he could not be angry at her because of her gentle and angelic eyes. It is weird but all of the guardians from Lamilla have the same strange eyes.

“You do know about the curse right, your Highness?” Yunho nodded his head when he heard that obvious question.

He is the first prince of Fierra, the heir of the fire kingdom but he gave up on the throne when he fell in love with Boa, the goddess from Lamilla. He knew it better than any of his fellow siblings, that none of them should have fall in love or even get married with the people who possessed different elements from them. It is not that they have to marry someone from their own family; as long as the bride or groom-to-be is not from any royal families from other kingdom, they will be just fine. That's an absolute rule for each of the royal families in Tamara but he was too blinded by love to even care.

“They’re also fraternal twins. Does that remind you of something, your Highness?” Again, the guardian of Lamilla threw him another question which left him confused for a few seconds before his eyes widened once again. This time it was bigger than the last one that his eyes looked like they were about to pop out.

“You’re talking about the myth? The well-known myth? It can’t be!” Yunho said continuously, his eyes twitched a little at the thought of it. The myth about the one and only fraternal twins in Tamara. The myth said that they will be the strongest ones in this world if they ever become one. The Prince heaved a deep breath and looked at his twins once again.

“Your Highness, there is always a possibility in it.” Lumia replied with her calm and soft voice, as a warm smile curved perfectly on her lips. Yunho threw a glance outside the room. He couldn't deny it because there is truth in what Lumia was trying to say.

“Even if the myth is true, they still have to suffer the old curse.” Yunho sighed in regret. He grabbed the end of the crib as he held his head low. Everyone who saw him at that moment would know that the Prince of Fierra can never forgive himself for the misfortune that has befallen on his children.

“Are you regretting of marrying our princess?” Lumia asked once again without any fear. She was indeed the most outspoken guardian in Lamilla. Not even one of the guardians from Fierra has ever asked him questions so bluntly like her.

“Of course I’m not and I never will. I just can’t understand why my sons have to suffer the consequences of my own actions. They're just babies! Look at them, why do these angels have to carry such a big burden like the old curse?” The Prince placed both of his hands on each of his sons’ cheeks while he looked at them like a father would.

“Water and fire are not supposed to be together, your Highness.” Lumia bowed her head a little as she uttered her opinions.

“There’s a reason for the rules to be there and why the curse was made.”

She never meant to hurt the Prince’s feelings or even try to be rude to the first prince of Fierra. But she has to say it anyway. She was a guardian and a healer. She lived her life guarding the life of each of the royal family in Lamilla Kingdom. The reason why she was sent to Boa was because her life was bound to the third princess of Lamilla. Lumia will go wherever her princess goes and she will never leave her side as it was her life's pledge to protect the princess. A guardian is like a knight but they don’t fight like one because most of them are healers. Their job is to take care of the royal families. They are famous for their calm personalities and also their strange eyes that were persuading and convincing to those who look at it.

Suddenly, Yunho broke away from his twins and looked straight outside of the open window. An edgy feeling made him tense as he made his way to the nearest window. His face darkened as he watched the dark skies. Slowly, rain started to fall from the pure black clouds. He reached out his hand and let the drop of rains to fall on it. As soon as he saw the raindrops on his palm, he narrowed his eyes to his twins. Without any warning, he made a big ball of fire from his hands and threw it inside the room. It flew in a speed of light and passed right beside Lumia before it fell onto the twins’ crib. A huge shield has formed from the fire. Lumia hissed in surprise at the sudden action. She knew that the prince has intended to protect the twins but she couldn't help but be taken aback.

“Lumia!” Yunho called. His voice sounded so tense but he did not turn his back from her. She quickly bowed her head to him, ready to accept any order from the prince.

“Can you heal Boa and give her enough strength?” The sudden question made the area between her eyes crumpled a bit. It wasn't that she cannot do what the Prince was asking her. She just felt confused for a moment. They normally let the mother to heal by themselves every time they gave birth because their body will be healthier and stronger that way.

“You have to heal her, she will need it now.” Yunho ordered as he turned his back from her and looked into her eyes. She could see worry and fear filled his once fierce orbs.

“War is about to break upon this land...” He said, half-whispering as his face darkened. Lumia nodded her head lightly before she hurried to the princess’s chamber. There was something in the prince’s voice that made her shiver in fear.

“Your Highness!” Eric appeared in the room all of a sudden. His face looked extremely tense as he bowed to the prince.

“What is happening in the castle?” Yunho asked calmly but there was a certain tension building up inside of the room. The prince’s fingers curled in a small ball.

“An intruder was trying to break through the barrier.” Eric said urgently, his heart screaming out for him to go back to his king. He belonged to the battlefield but his duty to protect the heir of Fierra kingdom stopped him from doing so.

“I need to go back there!” Yunho looked outside. The black rains were still pouring heavily onto the land, sending a strange feeling of fear in the heart of the people of Tamara.

“Yunho, what happened? I could feel that the barrier has been broken!” Boa appeared in the room with Lumia and another knight. Her hand nervously held on to her necklace, a strange one, shaped like a teardrop and was currently glowing in a blue hue. Yunho held his own as well. The shape is different from Boa’s and he could see it glowing in a weird orange colour. Their necklaces had a strong bond with the barriers because they were the ones who made it and they're also the only ones who can break it. The thought that someone was strong enough to break it send shivers down their spine.

Yunho was about to tell her what exactly happened when they suddenly heard a loud explosion from the castle’s roof. A massive amount of debris were falling dangerously onto all of them. Before Yunho can form a shield around them, a massive, yet strange power engulfed the room and a shield made of a weird coloured-fire surrounded them.

They gasped as everything that fell onto the shield burned into ashes. A few black knights appeared in the room. They wear the same uniform as Eric but theirs were black in colour and they have their heads covered. Somehow, Yunho knew there was nothing inside the knights' uniform, except for dark spirits.

The black knights tried to break the shield but as soon as they touch it, their body burned in fire. Everyone inside of the shield widened their eyes in fear as they saw the black knights turn into ashes. Yunho quickly threw his glance to the baby crib near him as the strange power was getting stronger and stronger. The worry that he had for his twins immediately disappeared once he looked at all the ashes.

“What is this...?” He whispered slowly, not believing what he was seeing. The baby crib where his twins were sleeping was glowing in a strange golden hue. He was pretty sure that the powerful shield above them came from the twins.

Boa ran to the bed, ignoring the odd feeling that built in all of them. The twins were smiling and a small but soft chuckle could be heard from them. A motherly-smile curved on her lips as soon as she caught a sight of her newborn sons.

“They’re beautiful...” Yunho lingered his fingers with hers as he approached them. A faint smile appeared on his face as he exchanged his glance from the twins to his wife.

“We need to go back to the castle Boa. They need us.” Yunho whispered.

He had abandoned his right on the throne when he married Boa but he can never neglect his responsibilities to protect the kingdom. Their grip on each other hands tightened as Boa looked straight into her husband’s eyes. They were conversing with

Chapter 34: I really love this story. Had been waiting for updates. Turn out that aff didn't give me the notifications for them. Glad I decided to reread this back, or I will forever think that you never update.

This story is well done. From the writing, the plot, the characters. Everything just blended in and created the dark-like fantasy- it is a dark fantasy though. And the Cleora past is really gruesome. It left something in me, something that feel delusional and surreal yet we know it is there. This is mainly influenced by the fact that I only remember the atmosphere the story of Cleora bring, but don't remember exactly what the situations are.

Chapter 33: The "IT" is the stone thingy no..? The stone from the prev chap where the twins fighting with their enemy (the one with black blood (?) uh I forgot the name but to lazy to reread) from their prev world before Tamara. If I'm not mistaken it, the twins can caught the stone and lil piece of the stone fall to the enemies before the worlds "blown up" if I may say, so the twins still bring it to Tamara. Maybe the stone has its own mind? I kinda thinking that it's a stone cz Sehun grabbed it as it is his necklace..
Anyway... I miss Kaisoo~~~~~~ please update soon~~~~~♡♡♡
