Chapter 7
A Dream Come TrueThe week before departure went by faster than what I expected. I was so excited that I almost couldn’t sleep at night, and in the daytime, all I did was fantasizing about what we were going to do. It was hard concentrating about my daily chores, and sometimes I would randomly scream out loud, scaring everybody around me. In the end I gave up doing anything productive, and decided that it was maybe time to pack some of my stuff, seeing as I hadn’t done that yet because I was too busy screaming and freaking out. As I was packing my bags, I realized that I never told Eileen that I was leaving. Hehe, whoops. She’s going to kill me for sure now. I picked up my phone to give her a call, but she beat me to it. I had to laugh out loud. Was she reading my mind or something? I clicked the answer button to answer the call.
“Hello!” I said in a cheerful voice. I continued the packing while I balanced the phone between my shoulder and ear.
"Hey!" she said, and she sounded just as cheerful as me, if not more. “Guess what? I have tickets for the Breaking Dawn premiere this weekend!” I heard how breathless she was, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I was leaving tomorrow, I would have been just as excited as her. I frowned, and took a deep breath before I answered her.
“Ah… I don’t think I can go...” I said, trying to sound as casual as possible.
“What? Why not, is something up?” She sounded disappointed, and I felt a stab of guilt.
“Well…” I started, not sure how I was going to explain to her that I was leaving. Without her, that is. “I’m leaving tomorrow…” I said slowly. There was a short break. I could hear her breathing. When she didn’t reply for a couple of seconds, I continued. “So, yeah, I’m going to Korea to film a CF with 2PM, because-” I didn’t get any longer before I was interrupted by a scream, and something that sounded like a loud bang.
“What? You’re going to Korea?! Whoaa! That’s so cool! But why are you going without me? That’s so unfair,” she said, while she was pouting. I laughed at her. That’s so typically her.
“Sorry… Maybe next time, okay?” There was a short break of silence, before I heard her laughing, and all the guilt and worry I had felt earlier disappeared with the sound of that.
“It’s okay! Take a lot of pictures for me, okay? And buy souvenirs!” I laughed with her, happy she wasn’t mad at me. Phew.
“Of course I’ll do that!” I ensured her, smiling.
“Good! And by the way, you owe me cinema tickets for the rest of my life. Bye!” she said, and hung up before I had the chance to reply. I looked at my phone dumbly, before I shook my head. I put the phone back in my pocket, before I turned to look at the mess on my bed. There were a lot of clothes that was spread everywhere, and I knew I had a lot of work before me. I sighed heavily, before I started the impossible task of packing my bags.
Before I knew it, it was time to go to bed, and when I woke up I would be on my way to Korea. Just the thought of it made me jump up and down. Needless to say, I was excited, and who in the world is able to sleep when they’re this excited?! But luckily I feel asleep the moment I laid my head down on the pillow, exhausted of all the packing and screaming and fangirling I had done for these past couple of days.
When the alarm on my phone rang the next morning, I jumped out of bed. I felt eager, and ready to start the day. I went to the bathroom, and took a quick shower in order to wake myself up. When I got out I found some random clothes that I had picked out the night before and got dressed real quickly. I went back to my room and put on some make up so I didn’t look like a zombie. I tried to don’t spill any mascara, but failed. I was so excited about my journey that had no concentration at all. After a few minutes of failing I gave up and went down to make myself some breakfast instead. I jumped down the stairs and almost fell when I was on the last step.
There was nothing in the fridge that wanted to eat. I checked every single cupboard where I knew there could be something to eat, but found nothing. I sat down by the table and let out a big sigh.
“I’m hungry, but not hungry at the same time, and I want food,” I mumbled to myself. I knew I had to eat something to not be grumpy the rest of the day. So instead I decided to eat an apple and maybe buy some food later at the airport. I looked at my watch and realized
“OMG, I’m running late.” I hurried out to the hallway and put on my shoes and jacket.
“Mom, are you ready to go?!” I shouted into the house. I heard her coming downstairs from her office. My bags were already in the car so I didn’t have to stress about that.
I listened to 2PM’s songs all the way to airport and thought about how the next few days were going to be. Halfway there I fell asleep, and when I woke up, we were finally there. I got out of the car and my mom helped me with my bags. I was super excited and jumped instead of walking normally. My mom just looked at me and shook her head. She probably thought I had gone crazy, but I couldn’t care less about what people thought at that moment. “This is as far as I can go. Here is you’re your bag,” she said and handed me the bag before she hugged me.
“Have a safe trip, and don’t forget to tell me everything.” We both chuckled. We said our goodbyes and I brought my bags with me to the check in. When all the checking in was done and I had went through all the safety controls, I only had the waiting left.
So, yeah... This is kind of boring, but the next one is going to be more exciting though :D
Hope you guys like it anyways though ^^
