“Have you got any mail yet?” Eileen asked. It hadn’t even been 10 minutes since I sent the mail, but we both were still curious and impatient. I checked my mail. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The person had already answered, and I hoped it would be Taecyeon’s name that was written in the mail. A small “eeep” escaped my mouth, and I saw Eileen’s face glow of curiosity. I opened my mail, and when I read it my face lit up and I started bouncing on my chair like a little kid on its birthday. ‘Happy, happy, happy, happy!’ The word was going on replay in my head, and my smile just got bigger and bigger until I couldn’t smile more. “Who was it from?” Eileen asked exited, waiting for my answer. All I could do was just sit there and bounce on my chair and point at the mail, the name that was written. Eileen started to read it out loud.

Eileen’s jaw dropped to the floor. I could see it in her eyes that she didn’t believe her own eyes at that moment. She had probably read the whole e-mail, but I got stuck when I saw the name. ‘Nichkhun wrote me back! Happy, happy, happy, happy! Okay, I have to finish reading the e-mail,’ I thought to myself, still bouncing on my chair. I read the last of the mail, and it kind of puzzled me a little. Didn’t he put it in the chest himself?

I tried to calm down a little before I wrote an answer, so that I could be as normal as possible in the reply. ‘What should I write back? God, Christine! It’s obvious what you should write back. Just write it now,’ I thought to myself while I started typing a reply that hopefully turned out OK.

I read over it once, just to be sure that I seemed like the same girl they met a few days ago. I moved my cursor over the send-button and clicked on it, happy about my answer. Now I just had to wait for an answer, which was really nerve wrecking. I knew the e-mail was Nichkhun’s, and he answered the mails. How was I supposed to sleep that night if he didn’t answer? I would most likely lay in my bed and think about what he would write back. If he wrote back at all. Argh! My brain went on and on with questions like “what if”, “maybe it’s like that” and all those mind twisting questions that usually made me lay awake at night.

The hours went, it was starting to get late, and my grandma probably missed me, so I decided to go home again. “I think I have to go home to grandma now. She probably misses me,” I said as I turned off my laptop and packed my stuff. Eileen chuckled, but said she thought the same. She led me to the door so we could talk a little more before I went. “See you tomorrow?” she asked with a smile, hinting that she wanted to know about the e-mail. I smiled and nodded before I closed the door behind me and walked home to my grandma.

I woke up by my phone ringing. “Who could it be, calling this early in the morning,” I mumbled to myself without knowing what time it was. Just assumed it was early, since I just woke up. I picked up and said hello to whoever the caller was. I probably sounded very tired and grumpy, because the person on the other side of the phone asked me if I was Christine. I cleared my voice and tried to sound more awake. “Yes, who am I talking to?” I asked, hopefully sounding like myself. “It’s Eileen here. Just wondered if you have got any answer yet?” Eileen asked eagerly. Suddenly I was completely awake, remembering the e-mails from the day before. “I’m not up from bed yet, but I’ll text you when I know. Bye,” I said and hung up. I sat up in my bed and didn’t have the patience to dress up before I my laptop, so I just reached out for it and put it on my lap where I sat.

I signed in on my hotmail to find that I had one new mail. Yay! And it was from Nichkhun. Double yay!

Huh? He didn’t put it in himself? That means some of the others must have put it in. I sent Eileen a message to let her know that I had got mail, since I promised her.

Nichkhun and I continued to write mails to each other for a long time. We got to know each other really well actually, even though I almost knew everything about him from before. One day I got a call from someone that obviously was from Korea, because he started with saying “Yeoboseo”. What he called me for and how he got my number, I was unsure of.

I know it's a short chapter, but I didn't want it to be longer.

And I woke up a little earlier today, just so I could finish writing this for you guys ♥
