Chapter 1

A Dream Come True

I had been on the train station for almost two hours, helping tourists to get on the right train, as I didn’t have anything else to do. It was about 10 minutes until my train to Bergen went, when someone suddenly came up to me.

“Do you speak English?“ a tall guy asked. Service set as I was, I turned to him with a smile.

“Yes, I do,” I answered.

“I’m going to Bjøgen, where do I go then?” Bjøgen? Guess he meant to say Bergen.

“I’m going to Bergen too. You can follow me, the train leaves in 10 minutes,” I said friendly to him.

“Ah, really? I have some friends who are travelling with me. I’ll go get them.” I waited until he came back together with five other, rather tall guys. They were all nicely dressed, but it looked like they thought it was winter here, not summer.

“Shall we go?” I said and smiled at them. They all nodded, and I led them down through a tunnel to get to the right platform. Before we entered the train, the tall guy who had talked to me first said they had booked a coupé. Guess this was one of the old trains. He asked me if I wanted to sit with them, so that they could go off on the right station. When we walked past the conductor, one of the guys, currently wearing a denim jacket and hat, said I was with them.

The coupé was cramped, and we had to stuff the baggage on the cramped shelf above us, and put the rest of it under our seats. We had to go in one by one, and since the space between the seats were so small, we had to sit with every other knee between each other.

After we had sat down, and made ourselves as comfortable as it was possible, there was an awkward silence. The train had started to move, and a few minutes had past. I had to break the silence and tried to start a conversation.

“So, what are you guys doing in Norway? And what are you supposed to do in Bergen?” I asked gently, and tried not to seem like I was starting an interrogation.

The guy I had talked with first answered carefully; “We’re here on a business trip.” He seemed to be a little unsure about something.

“Oh cool!” I smiled back in response. “So where are you guys from?” I asked the same guy, who at the moment sat right in front of me, with one of his legs between mine. But before anyone could answer, the boy with the denim jacket and hat answered for them.

“We’re from Asia.” He was also the guy who translated English to their language, as they probably weren’t that good in it. “Ah, cool! Have you been to Japan then,” I asked and was pretty relieved that the conversation went so well. We started talking about Japan. We talked about everything from sights and thing they’ve done there, to language difficulties etc. We actually had a fun time while talking and laughing.

“Do you have any hobbies or something?” I ask, and the guy with denim jacket translates to the others. It seemed like only the guy in front of me and the denim-jacket-guy understood English. It was only the two of them who answered me and asked back. The others were rather quiet. They answered one after the other. The first one who answered liked to sing, and then the translator pointed a finger to the one who sat beside him. “He’s into dancing, and I myself like to play the piano,” he said and pointed the finger at the guy beside me. “He likes to cook.” The guy beside me smiled widely at me. ‘Hmm… He had a very cute smile, very Korean,’ I thought to myself.

“He really likes to beatbox,” the guy in front of me said, and pointed a finger on the guy at the very end of my seat row. “And I like to work out,” he said.

“Ah, I see,” I said and nodded my head.

The train stopped at one of the many stations, and it was a bunch of girls dressed in summer dresses and singlet and shorts there. All the guys leaned to the window to check it out, and they were all staring in silence.

“So here are all the pretty girls,” the guy who liked dancing said. I looked at him and thought that I had heard that voice before. The guy who sat in front of me got my attention before I could think more about it though.

“Are all girls in Norway so beautiful?” he asked. I thought to myself that, he either thinks I’m pretty, or he just misunderstood and thought that I wasn’t Norwegian.

“I don’t know. I’m from Norway, and I’m a girl. I wouldn’t know,” I got myself to answer. I looked down on my shoes as I said it, hinting innocently.

“If many of the people in Norway look like you and them,” the translator said and pointed out the window to the bunch of girls. “Then yes!” he said, and everyone nodded in agreement. I smile to myself and see the guy in front of me smile more than the others to me.

“Aish, it’s hot here,” the translator said, and took off his hat to use it as a fan. I understood fully that he thought it was hot here. They were all dressed in a lot of clothes, and everyone had sunglasses on. The sunglasses being the only thing that made them look like they had dressed for summer. I looked at the guy faning himself with the hat for a second before I pointed at him.

“You know, you look like Nichkhun,” I said while looking at him. He got a little bit anxious and exchanged glances with the guy in front of me. “You should take it as a compliment,” I said to him with a smile. “You know who it is right?” I asked him. He just nodded and giave me a small smile.

“Do you guys listen to K-POP?” I asked to change the subject a little. Everyone smiled and looked like they were holding back their laughter. The guy beside me couldn’t hold it all back, but only let out three loud ‘hahaha’s. I looked at them uncertain, not sure if I should laugh with them or not.

“Yes, we do,” the guy in front of me finally said and smiled to me, as he laid his hand on mine that was lying on my lap. I let out a relieved sigh and smiled back to him.

“So who do you like,” I asked them all, and they were sitting there with big smiles placed on their faces, like if they were keeping a secret.

“f(x),” the translator said, still grinning. The guy in front of me said he liked SNSD, and the guy who liked singing said BoA. The beatboxing-guy said he liked EXO, and the guy who sat squeezed at my side said 2AM. Everyone had now turned to look at me, and waited for me to tell them who I liked.

“I like,” I managed to say before I got distracted. “You know you look a lot like Wooyoung, right?” I said and nodded at the guy who was sitting between the guy in front of me and the translator. ‘Hah! Two of the 2PM guys. LOL! Would’ve been funny if they all looked like them. Maybe they were lookalikes,’ I thought, smiling to myself. I saw the look on the Wooyoung-lookalike’s face. “2PM here!” I chuckled and smiled to them, but they weren’t laughing.
