I stayed at the couch that night. Even though the storm was silenced, Donghee still thought it would be a good idea since he after the accident had experienced me waking up in the night, screaming after a storm. Even though I told him I’d stopped he wouldn’t believe me…

Well, with a good reason.

But I didn’t want to wake up the members or anything! They seemed so tired and they deserved their sleep… But well, who were I to argue when almost every member asked me to stay, and they all said that it wouldn’t bother them and whatnot. I gave in. Of course… And then I laid there in hours, trying not to fall asleep. Can I say that it was without luck? I don’t remember falling asleep but I remember someone suddenly bending over me and shushing on me while my hair.

“Shh, Heemin-ssi… nothing will happen, don’t worry~” I heard him whisper. I slowly opened my eyes and tried to find out who it was. After some seconds I could conclude that it was Yesung… I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

“I… I know…” I said, “d-did I wake… did I wake you up?” He shook his head, smiling.

“Ani… I like watching people sleep and you’re new here,” he said, “ you’re very interesting to watch actually!” That made me widen my eyes. He… liked to watch people sleep?!

“Are you like… a creeper?” I asked without thinking. I think that made him feel slightly offended, ‘cause he pouted and crossed his arms.

“No. Just like to watch people sleep,” he said, still pouting. I smiled at him.

“Aha…” I tilted my head, “shouldn’t you maybe go back to bed now? I mean… you have an schedule at seven which means getting up at five or six…” He shrugged, but also nodded as he got up.

“You’re right I suppose… I hope you’ll sleep better the rest of the night~”

“GUYS TIME TO GET UP! YOUR FAVORITE GIRL HAS ARRIVED~” This way of waking people up were new to me. Or, I’d seen it in movies but never experienced it, not even back when I lived with three other girls. So jumping up by the sound of a girl screaming and hitting a pot with a ladle were definitely some new way of waking up I now could delete from the list of ‘waking up experiences’.

I was rubbing my eyes and yawning as she entered the living room but stopped immediately when she saw me.

“Who are you?!” she asked in surprise. I tried to hold back a yawn but failed before I got to answer.

“Shin- Shin He-Heemin…” I said, “and you?” She looked weirdly at me.

“Samantha. Samantha Kim,” she said, “do I know you in some ways?” As she had said her name I widened my eyes and felt awake right away.

“Samantha?! Shouldn’t’ you first arrive in a day or two?!” I asked, ignoring her question. She nodded.

“I should. But my friend suddenly had to leave me so I decided just to go back before time and do a surprise… now back, do I know you?” I nodded and got up.

“N-neh… Heemin,” I said, “your… your mailbuddy…” I honestly don’t know what she were about to answer, ‘cause in the exact same moment, a bunch of boys ran towards her, yelling her name and – it seemed like – hugging her to death. I sat and hugged my blanket, watching it happen and heard all the greetings from the boys until she managed to get some air.

“You guys… will be… my death some day…” she breathed, “I swear…”

“Samantha Jamison Kim, why are you already here?!” I could hear Heechul scold, “you shouldn’t already be here!” I saw her pout at him and scowl at him.

“If you don’t wanna see me I will just leave again~”

“NO!” I heard most of the guys yell in unison, “you are going to stay miss!” Now I heard her laugh. I couldn’t help but smile a bit too. They seemed really close… maybe I could be that close with these guys too someday? That would be really nice~

“Okay, I’ll stay. Now,” she pushed herself through the boys and looked at me, “are you really THAT Heemin? Like Julliard-Heemin?” I nodded shyly.

“Yeah… it’s really nice to meet you,” I said with a smile.

Then she did something I wouldn’t have imagined just then.

She stepped against me, pulled me up and hugged me.

“Waaaaaaah, it’s you! Do you know how much I wanted to meet you huh? What are you doing here? On my couch?!” she was let go of me and held me by my shoulders. I bit my lip before I answered.

“I… Donghee… is my cousin,” I said. Sam turned against DongHAE and looked at him with a serious face.

“She is your cousin?!” she asked, “seriously?!” Now the boys started to laugh as Donghae shook his head.

“Shindong’s,” he said chuckling, “she arrived less than a week ago.” Unnecessary fact, hm? But yeah. Sam turned against my cousin now.

“Heemin is your cous? Is she going to live here?!” she asked. I couldn’t help but wonder what she had eaten before arriving. She definitely seemed really happy and/or overexcited.

“She lives in a dorm alone on the thirteenth floor… or, she did live alone,” Donghee looked at Heechul.

“Sam, you’re going to get a new roommate,” Heechul said with a smirk.

Sam took the moving-plans really well actually. Her response to her brother words were actually;

“Junsu was actually going to talk to you about this sharing-room-with-the-monkey-situation,” she smiled, “I bet he is going to be satisfied now!”

At that time I didn’t dare to ask who Junsu was so I just stayed silent, watching her and the boys reunite and chat happily. I just sat back in the couch again, in my pajamas, now eating noodles as Ryeowook had made.

“You seem better today,” Donghae sat down beside me with a smile, “no red eyes, no shaking and even a smile on your face. It’s nice!” I bit my lip and bowed my head.

“Thanks for taking me in last night… I’m sorry if it bothered you…”

“Ani, it didn’t! I’m feeling sorry for not coming home earlier actually,” he scratched his neck, “it was my suggestion that me and Ryeowook stopped by at a restaurant for some food before going home…” I shook my head.

“You couldn’t know. I mean… how would you?” I smiled a bit, “no one would…”

“Donghae, are you flirting with my baby?” Sam suddenly came and sat on the table, looking at Donghae and me. I’m sure that I turned bright red, Donghae widened his eyes.

“What? No, Sam… and didn’t you just meet her?” he looked at her and she rolled her eyes.

“I did. But I’ve known this girl much longer than you,” she said, “even though I’ve known you longer than her… what were you guys talking about?”

So, the guys went on their early schedule – it turned out that Sam had arrived at 5am in the morning – and I took her with me upstairs to our apartment.

“So… uhm… this is… this is your new home,” I said and looked at her. Even though she seemed more open to me than I had imagined, I were still shy. She let go of her suitcase and kicked of her shoes before she entered the living room. I followed her as she walked around, commenting on small thing. She stopped by my room. The door had been half open so I bet she had seen the bet.

“May I look?” she asked with a smile. I bit my lip and nodded.

“S-sure,” I answered and she opened the door. Luckily, I wasn’t a messyhead so everything was tidy and unpacked. I went to sit on my bed as she looked around.

“Fan of CN Blue? And DBSK?” she asked. I nodded.

“Yeah… Fan since debut of both,” I said with a smile, “they’re the ones I fangirl the most…” Sam nodded and sat on my desk-chair. I started playing with the rim of my pillow as some awkward silence filled the room. I didn’t know what to say now, even though I’d imagined this situation millions of times after we’d started writing.

“I… you seem uncomfortable right now,” she turned against me and made me look up at her again, “have I done something?” I shook my head.

“Aniyo~ I’m just… always awkward around new people,” I said, “it… it takes it’s time, even though… even though I’ve known you for quite a while,” I bit my lip and rubbed my elbow. She smiled.

“I will make you less awkward with me within two days then!” she held up two fingers in front of her, “and then help you with the boys after that! And I will succeed, I promise!” she smiled widely now, got up and went to me. I tried to smile back and she chuckled.

“So, Chullie gave me money for a new bed and such things for my room… wanna go shopping with me?”
