Taemin eyed Minho with suspicion as he put his hand on the knob until a large cry came out from the other side.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAEMINNIE!!!"

"UWAAAHH"

With a loud thud, Taemin was pushed onto the ground and pulled Minho's shirt along with him as he was being tangled by various relatives.

"Mom! Dad! Even grandma! Why are you guys here?" Taemin's eyes popped out of his head as he was trying to recollect his memories.

"Aigoo~our son is so busy that he forgot that we have a few relatives here," Taemin's mom spoke as she stepped out of the house, "We wanted to celebrate your birthday! I know you've been busy with your dancing, but you have to rest up for at least a few hours before you go out with those skinny legs of yours. Come on, come inside and eat something! Help Minho too, he was the first place that all of this could happen." Taemin rolled onto his stomach, making him face to face with Minho. Yes, Taemin was literally lying on Minho's stomach. He could feel the older's chest rise up and down while trying to catch his breathe. Minho's mind, like Taemin, was still disorganized by that sudden surprise attack.

"Hyung, is what mom said true? Hyung, hyung~!" Taemin poked Minho's nose until he saw his hyung's eyes snap back to reality.

"Oh, yeah...your mom called me last night to tell me that they're here because they wanted to celebrate your birthday and your success on getting into the school you wanted to go to. Now will you please get off of me, this shirt's price isn't something to joke about," Minho grunted.

"Oh sure, sorry hyung," Taemin blushed, "but I have dance prac-"

"Who cares about that when you have your family around you. Hurry up and go eat, I'll go with you to practice so I can explain the situation to the hyungs. arasso?" Taemin's eyes brightened up with that idea and immediately dragged Minho inside the house.

Taemin POV

"Taemin, look at who came!" Dad's voice boomed out while he stood up from his couch, motioning to a girl who was sitting across him. She had fair skin, long black hair, and a light blue dress that reached up to her knees.

"Mina! Long time no see, how've you been?" I brought her in for a hug, happy that I get to see my best friend again. Aside from Key, Minho, and the other hyungs, she was one of my friends that knew I was gay. I love that she didn't care while the other people at school called me names I do not want to ever call or be called. She was always there for me no matter what happened.

"Taemin-ah! How long has it been? A few years? You've grown up to be such a man," Mina's arms stayed around my waist as she spoke.

"That's because I am a man!" I boast, earning a laugh from her, "Nature's done good to you too!"

"Thanks Taemin! Hey, let's go eat, okay? Want to sit next to me?"

"Of course!" Hand in hand, we walk towards the table. I help Mina sit down, but as I do that I can feel someone's staring from behind me. It's not just any stare, it's an intense, charismatic, flaming stare. It's Minho.

"Minho, aren't you going to sit down and eat some cake?" I sigh out, gosh when will he stop staring? If he keeps on staring, I don't think I can control myself!

"Ah, right," he coughs out, "May I sit next to you?"

"Hey what's up with you two being so formal?" Mom butts in between us after Minho walks next to me.

"Oh so you're Minho? I've heard so much about you! I'm Mina!" Minho stares back at Mina, not even caring about the hand that's been stretched out.

"Yah Minho, shake hands with her; she's my best friend," I scoff quiet enough so that he can only hear. With that, Minho grips her hand and gives her his best smile.

"I'm Minho, nice to meet you," Minho sits down next to me, along with mom who sat next to Minho and dad who sat next to mom.

"Mom, where's grandma and grandpa?"

"We're right here!" They sing out, sitting across me.

"Hurry up and blow out all the candles before we grow any older," grandpa jokes.

"Ahh arasso arasso!"

"Taemin, aren't you glad that Mina came out all this way with us to see you? She's been always asking how you are," mom gushes as she passes me another piece of cake. I looked towards Mina who is occupied with eating and conversing with grandma.

"Oh, really Mina?" I ask, nudging her elbow.

"Yeah, you know how much I missed you? I missed you so much. We never really talk anymore, but I understand. There's a lot of dancing going on around your life, right?" Mina's eyebrows rise as she speaks. Mina, I know you're getting tired with this charade! It'll be over today, I promise.

"Best friends my ," Minho whispers, eating a piece of my cake while my face is frozen.

"Yah! That's my piece of cake!"

"Well you're my piece to the missing puzzle," he whispers, again.

"What?"

"Just eat," Minho and I go back to eating the cake while everyone else is conversing. It didn't take long until they started to talk about marriage and what not.

"Taemin, did you find any girls here?"

"Are you getting confessed by anyone?"

"Aigoo, don't tell me you already got rejected? Or even worse, got your heart broken! Is that why you're not that cheerful today?"

"Ani, I'm just worried about dance practice," I brush off the other questions with small jokes and no. 

It's a new age, a new year for me! I guess this is really the time when I should confess to my family about who I really am. I don't want to keep rejecting the idea of who I am, especially in front of my parents. They might think it's disgusting, but they should still love me, right?

"I actually have a confession to make, mom, dad," I stare at them, placing my fork on the plate. My hands dangle out to Minho and Mina, who entangle it with theirs. Minho gives me a reassuring squeeze, Mina grips onto mine.

"What is it, dear?" They ask, questions marks wondering around them.

"I'm gay," all of them stop what they're doing. Mom drops her plate that she was holding onto the floor, dad looks at me in surprise, scrunching up his nose in disgust, but my grandparents are so calm about it.

"Surprise~" Minho smirks. God, what an . But with that remark, everyone, as in dad and mom, start screaming from the top of their lungs.

"GRANDCHILDREN! MY GRANDCHILDREN!"

"HOW IN THE WORLD DID YOU BECOME THAT?"

"WHERE DID WE GO WRONG? TAEMIN-AH, ARE YOU FEELING WELL?"

"Mom, I'm fine. I don't know when, it was when I met Minho, okay?" I defend myself, speaking as loud as I can. Have confidence, you can do this!

"Everyone STOP!" We all turn towards grandma.
"Look, you might not like it, but he's your son. You're supposed to love your son, not reject him because of his uality. He's your child, show love to him. Just because he's gay doesn't mean he's different than who you thought he was a few minutes ago. Remember that day you brought your husband to us and you said you wanted to marry this man? Did you know that I didn't want you to marry him because of his middle class status? Do you know who persuaded me otherwise?" Grandma glares at mom as she speaks, her chin was raised up as she spoke.

"It was me, right?"

"No, it was grandpa. He told me that you're my daughter and I should respect who you want to marry. I didn't think it was right for a woman of your status to marry a man like that, but my idea was changed by grandpa. He told me that if you love that man, then you should marry that man. He told me that you're our child and we should love who you are and love who you want to be with. It's the same with Taemin. If he loves a man, let him love a man. Let him be with who he wants to be. I know darling, you might not like that idea, but he's your son. You might not like that idea, but keep him in the family, okay? Love him forever, no matter what happens. No matter who he becomes, love him, understand?"

"Yes, I understand. Taemin, I'm sorry baby. I love you, so much," mom hugged me. She accepts me. She really accepts me.

"Honey, come over here and give your son a hug," mom calls over dad and here we are. We're all here, hugging each other like a stupid family we are.

"I love you mom. I love you dad."

"We love you too, Taemin."

"It sure was a long day," Minho stretches as we get out of the taxi.

"Yeah, it was. Come on, let's run up so I'm not as late as I should be," my legs go into motion, but was stopped by Minho who blocked my path up.

"What are you doing?"

"Piggy back ride?" he crouches down, turning his head, "Come on, I know you want to." This guy.

"Alright alright, but make it qui-ahhhh!" Minho starts to run in circles as soon as I wrapped by legs onto his waist.

"Minho, stooooooooop!"

"You wanted it to be quick, right?" he laughs out as he ran up towards the door, "Hyung! We're here!" 

"Taemin, what happened to you? Your hair is a mess!" Eunhyuk rushed to my side, still being held by Minho, "Minho! Let him sit on the floor!"

"Okay okay, I wouldn't want to hurt the precious soloist," I hear him chuckle. He's probably teasing me in his mind right now. God, I can't believe that this is my life.

A/N: So yes~~~Taemin was with his family on his birthday^^ (in the story) And even though it was hard for him, Taemin told his parents he was gay despite the fact that he was super scared about it>< Good job, Taemin! And aww~Minho's getting jealous~are his feelings for Taemin arising back up again? (<====SPOILERRR) Will things go back to the way things really were??!!! Is this story really coming to an end soon???
