Things I'm Not Supposed To DoThe Fourth Thing I'm Not Supposed To Do: Inviting Her to my Room
Min Hee had already debuted with her group and they're quickly gaining popularity...with the comeback of DBSK *they're together in this fanfic* they've been paired up together like how we're (SHINee) paired with F(x) and they match well together as much as I hate to admit it.
Everyone thinks that Changmin-hyung and Min Hee can't stand each other but they're really close friends. Along with Taemin, when all four of us are together, we're the Min group. Sung Min wants to join but Changmin and Min Hee saying he's too old since all the members of the Min group are the youngest in their groups. They let me slide as an exception haha
Oh, you might be wondering why people think Changmin-hyung and Min Hee hate each other. It's because they always fight with each other, non-stop bickering. We all go to the same school too and have one class together...the teacher loves their fighting so much she makes them sit next to each other and she normally takes Min Hee's side because, honestly, as smart as Changmin-hyung is, he can't outsmart or out-insult Min Hee. She's like...Queen of insults. She insults without even thinking about it. She's an expert at teasing people. She proves this to me all the time and especially Taemin. He doesn't like being called TaeTae but still lets her call him that haha
The other members are almost the same way with her. Onew-hyung and Min Hee even have an understanding that if she never asks him to share his chicken with her, she doesn't have to share her ice cream or candy with him but because they're good friends, they share anyway. It's rare for them to share their favorite foods like that. With Jonghyun-hyung, Min Hee often teases him about his girlfriend but she also lets him talk to her about their relationship, which makes the rest of us happy because when he tries to talk to us about it, it's a little awkward. As for Key-hyung, they're willing to talk about anything but mostly talk about fashion or cooking. They're just like ahjummas when they're together -_-
Because of her good relationships with all of us, Min Hee is always welcome at our dorm. In fact, one day she just walked in because Onew-hyung accidentally left the door open. After scolding him, she sat next to me and stole one of my earphones, listening along with me. "Oh! Why are you listening to this song?"
"I'm trying to figure out my song for SM Town. Have you decided yours yet?"
"Yes and no."
"Meaning?"
"Meaning I have a song but I didn't pick it."
"Who did?"
"Kamiko and Emi. They think since I'm finally legal I should up the rating for the songs I pick."
"Aren't the songs you guys do now already a little..."
I had no idea how to end that sentence. Maybe I should explain. SM Town was now split up into two separate concert versions. A Daytime and Nighttime version. The Daytime version being the under 15 years old appropriate one while the Nighttime concert was only for those over 15 or with adult supervision. SHINee had most of their performances in the Daytime version but Mystery, Min Hee's group, was mostly in the Nighttime version along with DBSK
I'll try using this comparison. Do you know how innocent songs like "Into the New World," "Noona Nomu Yeppeo," and "Chu~" are? Mystery has a totally different image than that. It's more like DBSK's image when they released their 4th album, Mirotic. Yeah, like that...
I at least attempted to finish the sentence, "they're a little, uh, well...they're-"
"Yeah, I know. We don't have to go there haha. I know what you mean."
"So what's the song?"
"Ah you'll find out eventually hehe."
"Have you started practicing it yet?"
"No...Mystery unnies are doing the choreography as we speak. They scare me but I did get them to agree to perform it with me."
"Isn't it your solo?"
"Yeah but I made them compromise with me. I just have to lead most of the song but they'll be up there with me. Actually, I wonder if that will be overkill."
O.O overkill?! "What does that mean?"
She sighed, "nothing. Just that it's...well it's unforgettable, that song."
I nodded, not knowing what to say again. "So...why did you come over today?"
"I can't come over for no reason anymore?"
"You do things for no reason often...so it makes sense."
"What are you trying to say?"
"That you're my crazy best friend?"
"That's right!" I laughed and ruffled her hair to which she poked my stomach. "Aigoo~ why is your stomach so hard? Minho, you make girls jealous with your nonexistent fat."
"Me? Look at Taemin!"
"Hey! Don't include me in your conversation. You guys are always talking about something weird..."
"It's not me!" I exclaimed.
Taemin smiled, "I know. It's always Noona."
"Ya~ TaeTae, what did I tell you before?"
"Always take Noona's side?"
"And what did you just do?"
"Take Hyung's side?"
"And what's wrong with that?"
"It's not Noona's side?"
"Yes! Good job!"
He rolled his eyes, "noona, sometimes I think you're the younger one."
"Whatever..."
"Haha Noona don't be offended," Taemin did his "pweety pwease" pout and Min Hee gave in, throwing a pillow at him.
I watched them have a small pillow fight before finally putting my notebook away, knowing that it'd be smarter to study later with these two around, and Min Hee asked, "what's that?"
"My notes for Philosophy. We have a test tomorrow remember?"
"Are you serious?! That's tomorrow?!"
"You really forgot? That's surprising coming from you..."
"Noona are you sick?" Taemin looked at her concerned, "You normally remember everything."
"No, I just..." she started saying. "I just have been preoccupied. AHH!" Her sudden scream scared both me and Taemin. Onew-hyung, Jonghyun-hyung, and Key-hyung all ran into the living room because of it.
"What happened?" Jonghyun-hyung yelled, cell phone in hand, undoubtedly texting his girlfriend when he heard Min Hee scream. Key-hyung's hair was still slightly wet and Onew-hyung's clothes were disheveled because he was taking a nap.
"Bug?" Key-hyung teased Min Hee to try to lighten the mood.
"No!" she groaned and buried her face into my shoulder. "I lent that tall freak my notes and he's flying over from Japan tonight. How am I going to study without them?"
"Study for what?" Onew-hyung said, confused.
"Our test tomorrow!" she whined sadly.
Key stared at Min Hee with an 'are you serious?!' look on his face. "You mean to say that you screamed like something terrifying to you happened but it's only that you can't study because YOU let Changmin-hyung borrow your notes? I'm going to finish drying my hair, which is something you still need to learn."
"Hey I dry my hair now!"
"Yeah, now," Key pinched her arm and then offered her advice, "just study with Minho. Besides, I'm sure you wouldn't have lent Changmin-hyung the notes if you thought like you would really need them. You'll be fine."
"...thanks KiKi."
"You're welcome...and don't call me that!" I think a forehead vein showed when he said that last sentence haha
They all went back to where they last were and Min Hee turned to me with a familiar look in her eyes. I hate that look...because I can't say no. "What?"
"Minho-ya~"
"What?"
"Minnie~"
"What?!"
"MInho~ my dear, dear best friend Minho."
"WHAT?"
"Can I borrow your notes?"
"N. O."
"But-"
"No!"
"Minho."
"No."
"Minho~"
"No..."
"Minho-ah~"
"...no."
"Minho..."
"...fine."
"Yay!"
"Why can't you study together?" Taemin asked after watching our weird interaction.
"Because Min Hee/Minho studies in his/her own way," we said together.
"Then why do you two have study sessions together sometimes?"
"That was last semester with Psychology. Philosophy's a completely different subject TaeTae."
Again, Taemin threw a pillow at Min Hee. "I know that! But why could you study together then and not now?"
"Because Psych was a lot of vocab. Our Philosophy class isn't like that."
"Oh."
"I don't think we can study in here with Taemin."
"Hyung, that's mean!"
-_-' "Min Hee, now he's talking like you."
"Minho, that's mean!"
"Exactly what I meant."
"You can study in here. I won't do anything."
"You don't have to do anything. Min Hee gets distracted by you anyway."
"Why?"
"Because you move and, like she says, you're 'SHINee.' "
Min Hee pushed me, "you know, if you weren't my best friend..."
"You'd what?" I asked, towering over her. It's an advantage to be 182 cm to her 160 cm sometimes.
"Well you wouldn't know me so well."
I rolled my eyes. One day, my eyes might get whiplash or eyelash, whatever, because of her. See? I'm already coming up with my own words for no reason like she does. "We can study in my room. Let's go."
"You're leaving me in here alone?"
Min Hee fell for it, "aww TaeTae...sorry but Noona needs to study. I have priorities." Okay, maybe she didn't fall for it completely haha
"I'm not a priority to Noona?"
"Well, you're Key's son, not mine. I have enough kids."
"Ah that reminds me, how is..." he looked over at me and smiled.
I noticed that Min Hee winked at him before telling him, "she's good. Waiting for you to e-mail back."
"Eh? Really? Okay! See you later then. Have fun studying."
On the way to my room, I asked her what that was about and she said, "oh, he talks to one of my friends back home. I'm glad I hadn't told him until now so he's distracted while we study haha."
...Is it wrong of me to think of the situation inappropriately? Everyone's in different rooms doing their own thing and Min Hee just successfully distracted Taemin so her and I could go into my room alone...I shouldn't have invited her to my room.
