Looking over his shoulder, Kai’s eyes narrowed to his non-stop yawning best mate. He wondered when this guy going to talk about that? Yesterday confession he meant. If their coach not interrupted at that certain precious time, and made Suho do those punishments for getting his lazy late, he would ask Suho how, no he would even force Suho to tell him, how he discovered about his…true feeling toward that that nerd-Yuck! Only the thought of it gross him out. But still, it would be the biggest lie if he said he’s not curious about those. Just because it's sickening him out, it didn’t mean he doesn’t want to know right?

 

After a sleepless night of wonder, finally, the curiosity got the better of him. Kai stirred on his toe and come face to face to Suho, not to mention startled him. “W-what the hell man?” Suho stopped his steps with frowning on his face, how annoyed he was.

 

“About yesterday, what…” Kai paused when he saw, Suho yawned once again, scratching at the back of his head at the same time.

 

“Don’t remind me, about that selfish old coach. I’m ing late for my part-time job because of his ridiculous punishment.”

 

Kai stared at Suho for a few seconds, digesting the new information. “Did you lose your job then?” Kai asked. He knew at the hotel Suho was part-time, the rules are ing tight! Such as being tardy means instant fired. However the payment is good, that’s the main reason Suho really wanted to work there.   

 

“Almost,” He sighed. “Luckily I got a deal with the senior, and they promised me they will overlook it.”

 

“How?”

 

“By making me work over time for them until this morning. Then I just went home to wash up and now I’m here. How lovely huh?”

 

“That’s just showed how much they love you, isn’t it?” Kai added sarcastically as his eyes glittering in mischievous. 

 

“I think that’s a sin for being too perfect.” Suho finally smirked, and continued his steps again.

 

“Well, I know that feeling.” Kai added after he came beside him.

 

Suho narrowed his eyes to Kai, slowly shook his head dismissing the topic. Suho turned his head to the front back, muttering how much he wanted to quit the job, but only decide not to because the payment is too good.

 

“So…”

 

“I’m ing tired, Kai.” Suho cut him.

 

“Morning sir!” Kai did the solute thing to the teacher at the gate before tilted his head to Suho who just lift up his head from bowing to the same teacher. “But this one, is inevitable I think.” Kai whispered sneakily, earning a suspicious look from Suho.

 

“What is it?”

 

“You owe me an explanation.”

 

“Explanation of what?”

 

“You don’t remember something was left unfinished yesterday?”

 

“ Kai! Enough tricky questions! Just tell me what it is.” Suho finally burst as his sore muscle yearning for a good nap, not this stupid push and pull game.

 

“Whoa, whoa. Chill dude. Alright, my bad. Let me just get to the point, okay?” He paused for a second, when Suho didn’t make any attempt to interrupt, he continued. “Straight to the point.”

 

Suho nodded, fighting with all his might just to stay awake and focus. While Kai on the other hand inhaled deeply, and breathe out slowly.

 

“How and when did you realize your true feeling for that nerd?”

 

Caught completely off guard, Suho only can blink. He stayed silent for a very long time, thinking of when the hell did he slipped such a ridiculous thing.

 

I like that stupid ungrateful nerd.

He was so mad yesterday, that he doesn’t realize what words come out from his mouth. Stupid mouth!

 

Bet, who won’t anyway? The girl who supposed to be his pretended girl friend was gawking over another guy. Of course that's something to be mad off! Something’s that he needs to teach her a lesson.

 

“Stop snapping your finger.” Suho muttered slowly.

 

“Finally, you’re back.” Kai grin impatiently. “And your answer is?”

 

“You just got trolled.” Suho answer in a matter of fact and left the awestruck Kai in the hallway.

 

“You lied?”

 

Suho paused his steps once again and heave a long sighed. Then he tilted his head to Kai. “You started it first. Making me annoyed I meant. So, I make you wonder. Quite a long night, yesterday I bet.” He winked. “Did I get into your nerve?”

 

“Are you ing kidding me?” Suho heard Kai’s voice from inside the classroom, but chose to ignore.

 

Suho tossed his bag under the desk before putting his head on the table. Man, he’s too tired to handle all these stupid things. This happened because he could not control his stupid mouth!

 

Stupid ing mouth, which doesn’t know to shut the up!

 

Later, Suho heard the noise of pulling a chair from his right, which he's sure that sit only belong to Kai.

 

“ing Denial.”

 

“Whatever,” Mumbled Suho.

 

“Morning guys!” They heard Jenny greet them from her table, which is in front Suho.

 

Suho looked up slowly, and leant into his chair. “Morning…” Suho breathe, crossing his arms on his chest. Kai didn’t even answer her, he was looking over the window. Not looking at anything in particular, just staring.

 

Jenny brows cocked in suspicion looking at both of them back and forth. “What’s wrong with the two of you?”

 

“Not the right time Jenny.” Suho silently warned Jenny to step back.

 

“Are you fighting?”

 

Yup, certainly a busybody.

 

“Kris, come here. Look these two love birds is fighting.” Jenny laughed calling Kris who just to walk off came back in.

 

“Jenny, don’t…”

 

“What happened?” Suho being cut when Kris already arrived beside Jenny. He knew that Kai not really in a good term with her, and he also knew that Jenny always tried to do something for both of them so they can work out However this, calling someone to laugh his off to Kai who’s not in a good mood in the first place, is not really the way to make them work. Not to mention, she literally rubbed the salt on the wound.

 

Suho sighed slowly, and swiftly narrowed his eyes to the corner watching Kai who still looking at the window tightened his jaw in irritation.

 

“Really, both of you?” Kris asked with a hint of amused in his tone. “Seriously not again. I told you girls right, to stop behaving like this?” He acted as if he was so disappointed.

 

“Who the heck is girl? Bastard.”

 

“Who the is girl? .” Suho and Kai said simultaneously.

 

“You’re not? Are you certainly sure about that? I don’t think I’m convincing enough” Kris gave them his boyish grin. Suho’s and Kai’s burning glares met for a second, before the fire in their eyes disappear as they burst laugh watching each other pouts. In any case, they did behaving like a girl.

 

“Shut up.”

 

“ off.” This time the laughter was joined with Kris. Suho gaze drifted to Jenny and winked at her for her good job. Well he couldn’t help but think, this time he was wrong, Jenny was doing good with her method.

 

After the three of them calming down, Kris spoke first. “Mind sharing it with me?”  

 

“For that, I think you better ask that stupid denial.” Kai nodded his head to Suho.

 

“Really? For me, I think it’s better to ask that certain nuisance player to mind his own girls.” Suho smiled.

 

“Look, he doesn’t even deny it.” Kai pointed out while Suho just scoffing. “I told you he likes her. He’s just too stupid to admit it.”

 

“Yah, who are you calling stupid, idiot!” Suho fight back defensively and completely missed the surprise looks from Jenny. While Kris on the other hand just watching the two of them, confuse.

 

“Excuse me did I miss some—“ Kris was about to asking them when someone suddenly interrupted him.

 

“Do you have a moment?” Eunji asked Kris.

 

What the hell is she doing here?

 

“Are you listening to me?” She asked once again when Kris didn’t answer her, only staring at her with the expression of pure surprised.  On the contrary, Suho and Kai argument already went dead after Suho snapped abruptly when he heard Eunji voice approach them, or to be exactly that annoyed stuck up voice approach Kris. How dare she?

 

“I-I’m sorry, what did you just say?” Kris said quickly. “My mind was at elsewhere.”

 

“I said, do you have a moment?” Eunji repeated herself, ignoring the murderous glare from Suho, the curious look from Kai, the shock expression of Jenny, when she saw how mad Suho was at the moment, and the clueless looked from Kris.

 

“Now?”

 

Eunji nodded.

 

“Well, I’m surely free until the class start.”

 

Eunji looked at her wrist watch and notice they have only about five minutes “Then let’s talk.”

 

“Alright.” Kris nodded slightly.

 

Eunji already on her way out, Kris then turned to his friends. “Later.” Kris said to Suho who doesn’t even try to hide his fume face and Kai who looking at him with almost the same expression of himself when Eunji suddenly talk to him. He smiled. With a pat on Jenny head, Kris followed Eunji out.   

 

On his way out, Kris couldn’t help but wonder, the one who doesn’t want to have any connection with him in any ways suddenly want to talk to him, Suho, suddenly get mad, and Kai calling Suho Stupid Denial and said he likes someone. Conclusion; Yup, everything is normal.

 

Suho’s glare continues to follow her until they disappear on the hallway. Slowly his eyes moved back to his desk. He couldn’t help to feel something annoyingly stabbed his chest non-stop. He bit his lips hard to surpass that feeling. Unfortunately, the pain become worse, he felt like he wanted to throw something, or maybe someone.

 

Watching Suho’s sudden weird behaviour; the way he clenched  the sides of the table. Something is really pissed him off, Jenny is silently hoping this is not really happening, hoping she saw it wrong, while Kai only smiled knowingly.

 

Suho grumbled “Dares she…”

 

…talking to Kris…

…disobeys me…

…making me this mad…

 

Suho's jaw set stubbornly, his pride not allowing him to voice any of those thoughts, one more word slipped he will be the main joke of that nuisance player. He must take extra precaution this time.

 

Kai tilted his head a little, observing Suho’s side profile as he read between the lines, trying to decipher what he was really saying.

 

“Dares she what?” Kai pressed.

 

Suho’s eyes narrowed to Kai dangerously frightened him. But, Kai didn’t show it.

 

“Nothing.” Suho voice didn’t sound normal as he intends. It sounds too firm, like he was snarling.

 

it.

 

“As you said,” Kai smiled and looking straight ahead. “Also, why that bossy nerd suddenly wants to talk to Kris? I mean they never talked did they? They despised each other, if I’m not wrong? But, why now? It’s too sudden in my opinion. Unless they…”

 

Suho stiffened by Kai’s word, and Kai saw it, did he need to mention how delightful he felt watching this.

 

“Maybe there’s something urgent they need to discuss.” Jenny quickly added. “You know Kris is the captain of the basketball and she was the president of the librarian.”

 

“And how are they two connected?” Kai smirked on how silly the conclusion that she could come out with.

 

“I mean the summer festival is coming up next Saturday, maybe the teacher asks them to collaborate their clubs?”

 

“Right, without telling Kris beforehand instead asking that nerd to surprise him? Come on, could you come up with better assumption Assistant Monitor?”

 

“Kai, what are trying to point out exactl—“ She was cut in mid sentences when a loud sound of desk flying to the back.

 

The hell?

 

She saw everyone hold the same expression as her, only their eyes went to the guy in front of her, who at the moment standing up while panting and his table is nowhere to be found. Before she could learn the situation, a voice came out.

 

“Kim Suho, Detention Room. Right Now!” They turned to the front and saw their homeroom teacher already in the class and saw Suho kick the table.

 

After giving a glare to his two best friends who doesn’t know how to shut the up, he walked out from the class. Not to forget, muttering “sorry.” To the seething teacher as he passed her.

 

“What in the world just happened?” Jenny mumbled more to herself by what she just witnessed. Suho just kicked his table to the wall? Luckily he sat in the last row, if not, there would be a severely injured student.

 

“Miss Shim Jenny, please sit down.” The teacher instructed her.

 

Realizing she was the only who still standing, Jenny clumsily sat down on her seat.

 

“Okay class, continue with the exercise I gave yesterday until exercise four. I’ll be out, for a second. No voice alright? Or you might end up with the certain someone.” She warned. “Got it?”

 

“Yes teacher.” The students answered obediently simultaneous.

 

“You better.” With that she stepped out, whining.

 

Students started to do the exercise given, trying to forget the violent behaviour of their heartthrob prince. Jenny on the other hand could not believe her eyes the thing just happened. She never knew this side of him.

 

“The hell is wrong with him?” She didn’t even realize that she was muttering it out loud.

 

“Stop playing innocent, I’m sure you already see this coming.” Kai spoke but with the volume only Jenny could hear him, or maybe the student in front of him. But who cares, if this guy tried to do something ridiculously funny, then he just need remember to write his death wish beforehand.

 

Jenny turned her head to the side. “I don’t know what you are talking about, but…”

 

“Liar.” Kai cut her without looking at her.

 

Jenny took a deep breath to calm her pressure down before continued. “Anyway, did you need to provoke him?”

 

“So, you did see this coming.” He nodded, flicking his text book pages. “And excuse me for being rude, but, I never ask for your advice.” He finally looked up and gave her a fake grin before return his gazes to his book, starting his exercise.

 

Jenny swallowed hard, not to forget count one to ten, before turned back to her desk.

 

Jerk.

Kris continued following Eunji until she suddenly stopped and turned around, facing him. Not exactly looking at him, she was looking at her wrist watch. “So…” He started first breaking the silence.

 

“The walk over here is about three minutes.” Eunji said, holding up her wrist watch.

 

“Okay.” Kris nodded

 

“So, we should head back now. The class is about to start in two minutes.” She quickly walked passed him.

 

“Wha-what?” Kris was confused for a couple of seconds. “Hang on.” He runs after Eunji, when she pretended not to hear him. He doesn’t have a choice but to corner her.

 

“What is it, Kris?” Eunji sighed when she realized there’s no way to run from this huge guy.

 

“I’m pretty sure that’s my question.” He corrected her. “What do you want to talk about?”

 

“I already told you didn’t I?”

 

“Really? The walk over here is about three minutes, so let’s head back.’ Are you trying to be funny?”

 

“Stop that, Kris.” Eunji glared and slowly added after a long consideration. “I have my reason.”

 

“Mind sharing?”

 

“No.” She answered coldly.

 

Kris watched her for a few second and it’s unnerving her, before he looked away, letting out a small laugh.

“Alright, I won’t push you. But, can I ask you a question?”

 

“It depends.”

 

“Where are you going, after you saw me with Jenny at the festival?”

 

“Pack my stuff and went back to Korea.”

 

“Thank God.” He mumbled to himself, but with their distance only one foot away, of course Eunji could hear him. He only realized it, when he noticed she was watching him with that knowing half smiled and half smirked.

 

“Thank you to you too, for telling me this. I don’t realize it until now how you despised being caught with me.” She added, not to mention the small hint of sarcasm in her tone.  

 

“Kang Eunji, you’ve got the wrong picture…”

 

“You don’t say it.” Eunji laughed this time.

 

“Seriously Kang Eunji, Stop making your own assumption.” Kris suddenly lost his patient as his voice getting louder. “I really don’t mean it in that way.”

                 

“I don’t really care though. Now do you mind? It’s getting late.” She waved him off, silently asking him to move out of her way.

 

Kris sighed and opened his mouth to say something, but before he could another voice come.

 

“Kim Suho, I told you to go Detention Room, not loitering around hall way and watching some idiotic couple who used school to witnessing their cheesy love.” Kris and Eunji felt a cold sweat on their back hearing that name. They turned, and saw the person who owns the name staring down at them.

 

“Move your arse, or do you want me to make you.” The teacher threatened him. Suho reluctantly followed the teacher, but didn’t tear his eyes from them, or to be precise on her.

 

“And for the two of you, I will only let it slide because the two of you are the model student. Quickly go into your classroom.”

 

“Let’s go.” Kris urged Eunji to move faster.

 

“I know, don’t push me.”

 

Finally Suho the one who looked away first as she started walking to the opposite way with Kris followed behind her. Though Kang Eunji tried to ignore the way Suho was staring at her, nevertheless she couldn’t help but keep seeing the hurt look in his eyes. She never knew, only from one look he can express so much hurt in it.  

 

“Kang Eunji.” Eunji being pulled back to the reality, when she heard Kris called her name almost like a whisper.

 

“What?”

 

“Do you think he might hear us?”

 

Darn.
