Like always before anything good could happen, you were interrupted by footstep. You looked up to see Dongwoo standing at the door.

You quickly pulled away from Sunggyu, pushing him off the couch. Your snapped back to Dongwoo as you heard the door squeaking to a close.

“Dongwoo! Don’t close the-”

*Click*

“Door.”

“Hm why?”

Before you could answer, Sunggyu butted in. You sighed. What’s with everyone and butting in these days?

“Why are you here?”

“I wanted to apologize to _____ about how I’ve been acting and this is the first place I guessed she would be at.” He confessed.

Guilt washed over you but you really had no clue on what to do anymore because here you were, trapped in a room with two people last on your list of people you would want to be with right now.

“Well I guess I’ll be going.” Dongwoo spoke. “You must really love him.” You heard whisper and it hurt you to know you broke his heart.

“Dongwoo! Wait!”

He turned around hoping you’d finally change your mind and run into his arms. He looked at you curiously as you scratched the back of your head.

“Uh.. The door handle kind of broke so we’re locked.” you laughed nervously.

You saw his body stiffen. “Oh…”

All 3 of you sat on the couch in the office, you in between Sunggyu and Dongwoo. You yawned to break the tension and shut your eyes tightly to pretend you were asleep.

“So..” Sunggyu started.

Dongwoo looked up to face him, hurt written all over his face.

“You love her, don’t you?” he questioned.

“I care about her.” Dongwoo responded.

“That’s not the question, do you love her?”

You harshly nudged Sunggyu’s side, stretching to cover up. This guy.

“I’ll learn to move past it, so don’t worry.”

Your eyes began to water.

“Dongwoo, I did an unforgettable thing. An unforgivable thing actually. You took care of her, gave her hope and then you came to help me. I can’t thank you enough for what you’ve done.”

There was no response.

You slowly opened your eyes and looked at Dongwoo. It pained you to look at him, knowing that his sad look was caused by you. You grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

“You’ll make someone happy one day, and I’m sure you know that.”

“So then, where do we go from here?”

“Sunggyu and I.. We’re just trying to get back on track. And as for you, you’ll always be my laughing dinosaur.”

It only relieved Dongwoo to hear you still mattered to him, but it sure hurt him to know you will never be his.
