[Heechul's Pov] 

“Uncle Heechul, let's play again~” Nini said as she went clung onto my legs.

“We've been playing a lot and I'm already tired. Aren't you feeling tired too?” I asked her and picked her up.

She happily shook her head while also laughing. Her tiny laughter makes me laugh too so I couldn't help to laugh along with her.

“Okay let's just rest.” At last! She let me rest and as I sat down, I settled her down next to me.

“Are you happy?” Out of the blue, she suddenly asked me, she didn't even hesitate to ask.

“I am. How about you? Are you happy?” I replied and asked her too.

“After my parents died, I never saw myself being this happy... so it's been a while.” She answered and forced herself to smile.

So meaning to say, her parents died and she was left alone at the very young age? She's only 6 years old and she doesn't deserve to live in pain; she's just a kid... Why? Why everything is so unfair?

“I'm glad I made you so happy. Don't worry, you'll be the happiest kid while I'm on your side.” I said, confidently. I saw how her eyes shine and I could see the tiny hope she had in her eyes.

She's still staring at me and she's been keeping her eyes on me. I'm preventing myself from crying; I don't want her to see me cry. I don't want her to feel uncomfortable if I suddenly burst into tears.

“So you are not going to leave me, right?” She asked, she sat up and held my hands.

How? How could I leave someone like her? I was like her when I was a kid; I know what she feels inside and I hope she won't suffer too long and heal as soon as possible.

“I won't..” I promised her and we both smiled at each other.

As long as her uncle would want me to stay, I would never leave her. As long as she needs me, I'll stay by her side.

Mr. Park isn't still here and it's already late. Nini had fallen asleep on the sofa while I was sitting on the floor, watching her sleep. We had our dinner earlier. Thanks to his secretary who delivered the food to us but I'm still starving I thought he wouldn't be long? It's already 8 pm and we've been here since morning.

Wow my first day of work has a roller-coaster feeling. I don't have his number and even if I ask for it, his secretary won't give it to me. Maybe I should ask him personally.

“I'm also sleepy.” I whispered and let out a yawn. I'm so damn tired, starving and sleepy.

I put my head on the edge of the sofa and held Nini's tiny hand as I slowly closed my eyes and fell asleep.

[Jungsoo's Pov] 

“Where are they?” I asked Ara as soon as I got back from the company. I didn't expect our meeting would be so long as I imagined.

“Still inside of your office. Well, I don't know what they are doing because the last time I checked, they were playing together.” Ara replied, I landed my eyes on her and she was smiling so much.

“And why are you smiling like that?” I asked.

“They get along well and your niece seems so happy to have her new nanny.” She said. If that's true, that's good and I'm relieved to hear that.

Although I'm kind of jealous, I know my niece will also learn how to like me and accept my love I have for her. I just need to wait until It happens. We are both adjusting so I know this won't be an easy path to take.

“You can go home now. Thank you for staying with them, Ara. I appreciate it a lot.” I said, she smiled at me and nodded.

“No worries. I got you!” She replied as we both shared a laugh. Ara is my childhood friend so I thank her a lot and I appreciate her so much. She's been there when I was at my lowest point of my life and she's been so nice to me.

“Thank you so much. I'll excuse myself and check them out.” I excused myself and gently tapp
