[Jungsoo's Pov] 

“I'm leaving” I said, bid my goodbye to Heechul and Nini.

They both looked at me and Nini ran towards me. She hugged me and asked me to lower my body so she could kiss my cheek. I did what she told while my eyes were on Heechul. He just smiled watching us.

“See you later!!!” Nini sweetly said and looked up at me.

“See you later, little one.” I ruffled her hair.

She returned to Heechul's direction and sat on the floor next to him. We've discussed and decided that we would enroll Nini next month so she could start studying.

She easily learned. Heechul also teaches her to read and write her name. Heechul doesn't have a hard time because Nini can pick up and learn quickly and is excited to study.

“I said, I'm leaving.” I repeatedly said as I stood in front of Heechul. He looked up at me and just nodded.

“Why aren't you saying something? Did I do something wrong last night?” I asked and pouted.

“You two kissed again last night?” Nini butted in causing Heechul to cover his mouth and looks at us, unbelievably. 

“We did.” I lied to annoy Heechul even more.

“We didn't!” He firmly said and hit me on my leg.

“Then why are you so defensive?” I teased.

“Because you're lying and saying those things to your niece! She's only 6 years old!!” He scolded me and Nini, on the other hand, couldn't help but laugh at what she was seeing and hearing.

“Are you guys dating?” Nini asked.

“No—”

“Yes. Starting today we are officially dating.” I cut him off and suddenly his cheeks turned red.

“Really? Oh this is what I prayed for!!!” Nini excitedly shouted and jumped because she was so happy.

“You what?” 

“I prayed for this to happen. My parents left me at such a young age and you guys fulfilled their position as my parents. I never thought I would have parents again. I'm so happy because mommy, daddy and God listened to my prayers.” She explained. Heechul and I both noticed that she was in tears while telling her explanation.

This was supposed to be a joke and only to tease Heechul but what we received was Nini's honest confession and reaction.

“O-of course we can be your parents.” Heechul agreed while caressing Nini's face.

She's still young and I know until now, she still misses her parents and wants to have one. It's so sad to see that no matter how much Nini pretends that she is strong at the end of the day, she will always remember and go back to her painful memories.

“You're an angel and thank you for coming into our lives. You don't know how lucky we are to have you and be with you every single day.” Nini said as her tears fell.

He pulled her into a tight hug and Heechul started crying while me, watching them and just smiling at what I heard. What Nini said is true; he's an angel.

Heechul was the reason why my niece and I became close. Heechul is the reason why Nini and I had a colorful life. He's one of the reasons why we are here now and living our lives full of happiness.

Heechul loves Nini so much and treat her as his own and we also love Heechul as much as he does. When he came into our lives, everything fell into their right place; We're just waiting for one more thing to happen.

To find the person we've been looking for so that we can truly move forward and live happily without feeling guilty.

“Shin?” 

“Jungsoo, I have good and bad news for you. What would you prefer to know first?”

“Good news.”

“The good news is that we have found the person you are looking for and we can finally get information about him.” 

“That's totally great and the bad news?” 

“The bad news is that we will have to wait for a week to get the information about him.” 

“That's not totally bad news because I can wait. Shin, thank you a lot! I know words are not enough to show my gratitude towards you.” 

“Not a big deal! You're always welcome and I'm willing to help you. Anyway, we're just waiting for his childhood friend to show up.” 

“His childhood friend?” 

“Yup. He reached out us because he heard that someone was looking for his childhood friend. He was willing to give us any information and help us.”

“Really?” 

“Really. You will have the peace that you wanted to happen and finally, you will be able to move forward. Jungsoo, I'm so happy for you and your niece. You guys deserve it.”

“Shin.. Thank you for your kindness and the things you've done for us. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. I'm really looking forward and so happy.”

“I know you really are.”

A soft knock interrupted my thoughts. I've been thinking of that guy; we will finally meet him. My mind is too clouded and I feel nervous and at the same time happy. 

“Come in.” I said and sat down properly.

Ryeowook entered with a coffee in his hand and he was smiling. I just nodded and smiled back at him. He looks so happy and that makes me smile too.

“So, what's your status with Heechul?” Ryeowook asked as he handed me the coffee he brought.

“Happy.” 

“Happy? What do you mean by that?” 

“Happy with each other's company and slowly getting there with what you are thinking now.” I explained properly and sipped my drink.

“Really?” 

“Yup. I already confessed and I'm just waiting for his answer.” I said.

“I hope you guys will end up together. He needs someone stronger than him because Heechul is a fragile person. He's just good at hiding his feelings.” Ryeowook said seriously.

“I would protect him at all costs. After knowing the situation he went through, I want to protect him even more.” 

“I know you would fall for him. I'm glad you really did.” He said. Me too, I'm glad I've met and fell in love with Heechul.
