Chapter 20

[Author’s POV]

She was back in the dance room.

The very place she had been before their first meeting.

Her phone rang, once, twice and thrice. It didn’t go unheard, but it went ignored. She knew who was calling, but she couldn’t bring herself to answer the phone. Shaking her head, she found back the beat of the music and tried to focus once more, like what she had been trying for the past five hours, trying to focus.

It was now 11pm, eight hours after the ‘earthquake’. Hyoyeon had spent an hour and a half at the playground and one hour travelling to the dance studio. After that she had tried to dance, trying to calm her down and vent all her frustrations. But, for the very first time in her life, she found that dancing couldn’t even help her at all.

Her phone rang once more, breaking all down all that she had been trying to build up for the past five hours, patience.

“Leave. Me. Alone.”

Not even caring about the person at the end of the line, Hyoyeon growled and hung up the phone. Then she took the phone and threw it against the white wall, dismantling the white iPhone 4 that her boyfriend had gotten her in Paris.

The music pounded loudly against the speakers, but all that was left in the dance studio, was the heartbreaking sobs of a young lady.
