14: Explanations

Rollercoaster of a Life time

We made it all the way back to my house by the time the boys had phoned Yoongi in hopes that I was with him.

The former having checked that the guy had not followed us before we entered my house. The moment the door closes as though a sense of relief had washed through me, my body gave in and I'd fallen to the floor.

Yoongi was there in seconds, muttering to himself about how much of a bother I'd become in the span of twenty-four hours as he picked ne up and carried me to the couch.

Taking the seat opposite from me, he leaned back and we sat like this, in nothing but silence.

As we waited for the boys to arrive, every now and again, both of us would look at each other before looking away, creating one awkward silence after another.

I didn't blame us though because judging from the expression he wore every time he looked at me, it gave away the fact that he too had found out that we were siblings.

Well, from what I understood, he was my half-brother, not that I really understood any of it.

Finally, Yoongi had decided that enough was enough as he moved forward in the seat to get a closer look at me before he spoke.

"We're really related."

"I guess we are," I reply and watch as Yoongi runs a hand through his hair before shaking his head and hiding his face in his hands.

"Bloody hell, this can't be happening."

I know it was a serious moment, believe me, I did. However, when he said that, I couldn't help but burst out laughing because, due to my Potterheadedness, I pictured that in a British accent and naturally, it meant I pictures Yoongi with a British accent.

Of course, my laughing ceases soon enough and he only chose to ignore me, still trying to wrap his head around it.

"This is real," he states, shaking his head as he looked at me again, "We're really related."

"It would appear so," I say a bit too formally, not that he notices.

He was biting his lip as thoughts raided his mind and I couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking. With an expression like that, it was hard not to wonder.

Finally, he decided to speak, "You cannot tell them."

My mouth was agape as it formed an 'o' shape and not the "oh, oh my gosh so amazing" kind of forming but more like "are you actually freaking saying this right now" forming.

"Yoongi-"

"No, Jamie, promise me that you will not tell them a thing," he says, hands curling up and voice pleading in desperation.

I knew that we weren't all that close and that we just found out and whatever, but that didn't mean that his words, his request didn't hurt at all; it hurt a whole lot and I didn't know what to do.

"Jamie, not yet, please."

I sighed, knowing how rare it was for the elder boy to plead like that so reluctantly, I agreed.

"Fine, I promise."

Yoongi's expression turned to one of relief as he looked at me, his gummy smile slowly showing and making me crack a small smile back. I mean, how could you not?

As we continue to sit there, now having no idea what to speak about until the boys arrived, we hear a knock and both of us jump up.

"I'll get it," I start to say, but Yoongi is already ahead of me, at the front door as he opened it revealing all six of the boys, each of them still dressed in their uniforms as they were let in by the other.

When Jin spotted me on the couch, he rushed over, taking hold of my hands and pulling me out of my seat and into a hug.

"Jamster, you're okay," Namjoon says with a dimpled grin.

"Jamtart!" Jungkook, Taehyung and, surprisingly, Jimin exclaimed as they rushed over to me and pulled me into a hug, Jin unwillingly being pulled along as he had yet to let go of me. Their actions made me laugh to myself softly.

And then, of course, the moment was shattered as Hoseok walked in with a frown.

The boy who was always grinning or smiling was frowning.

"Jamie," he says softly earning the rest of their attention.

I turned to look at him, vaguely aware that all of them now stared at me while we waited for Hoseok to speak on.

"Y- Yes?" I find myself stuttering and cannot help but silently curse at myself because of it.

"I think we deserve an explanation."

"To what?" I ask, straightening myself to appear taller despite all of them being way taller than me.

"Yoongi called saying he found you in an alleyway..." Taehyung trails off as Jungkook continues from where the other stopped, "...possibly being harassed."

My eyes shift to Yoongi in anger.

Had he really needed to inform them of it over the phone? I could have told them now in person, but I no longer wished to.

"Forget it," I mutter before turning to walk out.

However, I didn't get to.

A hand encircled my wrist making me stop in my tracks and I was turned to look up at them.

"Did you know him?"

Before I can answer, Yoongi answers for me, "He called her Jampop. I'm sure she does."

However, I am no longer focused on any of them as I think back and remember everything that had happened in that moment.

And I feel my frown deepen as I pull my wrist from the person who held it and turn to look at Yoongi crossly.

He notices my expression and shrugs as he asks, "What?"

"What? What? Well, if I remember correctly," I start before pointing, "He called me that before you came. So how would you have possibly known that?"

Yoongi looks taken back at my words; at the fact that I had remembered so clearly.

But of course I did; it happened today, so why would I suddenly forget?

Why would I forget the situation I had so desperately wanted to be let out of if it had been haunting me all day since it occurred.

"I-"

"Min Yoongi, you tell me right now, how long you were there."

"In what sense?"

"In what sense," I scoff before continuing, "How long were you there?! What all did you see before you came to my rescue?!"

All of them flinch and I cannot blame them. I rose my voice and that was rare.

But when I did, it was loud and sometimes it scared people. Heck, I could see the fear and concerned expression drawn on Jungkook's face as he hid behind Taehyung.

But Yoongi was the least affected.

He had that blank expression on his face as he stared at me, contemplating before he finally opened his mouth, deciding what to say.

But before he can, I snap harshly, "And do not lie to me! Do not think about lying."

"I saw when he pulled you into the alleyway," he finally says with a sigh.

I'm speechless. I don't know what to say because I'm on the verge of tears as I realize that Min Yoongi had seen that entire scene before him before he finally decided to step in.

He watched and chose when to step in when all of it could have been avoided.

And the rest of them are torn between deciding who to side with.

But as they all turn to Yoongi to walk over to where he was now seated on the couch the furthest away from me.

"You saw the whole thing and you didn't think that it would have been nice to step in and help me!?"

"I didn't know it was you, what was I supposed to do?"

"So had it been some other girl, you would have left it?"

His eyes shift to me and he sighs, "Jamie-"

I shake my head. I couldn't do this right now.

"Don't Jamie me," I mutter coldly.

"Jamster," Namjoon tries and when I don't yell at him, he releases a breath he was holding before he looks at me and bites his lip.

Noticing, Jin smiles delicately, "It must be hard for you right now, but believe us when we say we want to help."

"And we can't do that..."

"...when you don't tell us anything," Jungkook finishes Taehyung's sentence.

"What we're trying to ask is, will you tell us who he was?" Hoseok asks much more gently than Jin did with a soft expression as he looked at me, waiting for my reply which, if you're wondering, was a sigh.

As each boy faced me, each of them had their signature expression as they waited for me to answer their question. Yoongi could barely look at me, but he curiosity was getting the better of him.

And when I finally realized that these seven idiots who ruined my life in a matter of months would not drop it, I let the words escape my lips even though it hurt to say them.

"He's my ex-boyfriend. And..." I trail off.

"And?"

"And I think I could really use your help right now."
