Chapter 39

Three days of being apart and already it felt like a life time, Yunho and searched but was out of luck.  He left almost a hundred message but Jaejoong had yet to reply, Yunho had become quite anxious as he hadn’t here a word. He had hoped Jaejoong would return to work on the Monday, but not a sight he rang in saying he wasn’t well. Yunho had put it down to Jaejoong didn’t want to see him not yet.  A question had been asked a few days ago which Yunho hadn’t thought about. A conversation with his mother when he returned in a fiery temper mashing a glass against a wall.

‘Yunho did you and Jaejoong both decide to keep your relationship a secret.’

“Course we had Umma?’

Yunho couldn’t help but notice the look on his mother eyes as she continued, ‘Did he agree on his own…. Or did he go along with what you said because he knew it was what you wanted.’

‘YE…….,” Did he agree he taught of it or did he go along with it weren’t they the  same thing. He thought they were in a way but the way his mother looked at him was completely different. Yunho had wanted to say yes Jaejoong agreed, but had he force this on to Jaejoong without thinking it was the right thing to do. Thinking about it know it probably did come off and something completely different. When they got married it should have stopped, but it hadn’t way Yunho ready to admit to everyone Jaejoong was his wife.  Yunho sat back in his chair thinking as his phone rang.

“Jung Yunho speaking’ The line was silent for a moment, Yunho could tell who it was, “Jae…

“Can we talk?”

“Yeah,” Yunho jumped out from his chair already leaving his office he wasn’t going to let this chance slip, “Where are you…where do you want to meet?”

There’s a café near the office the one on xxx street we went there for lunch before do you remember?” Yunho knew he nodded muttering into the phone, ‘Yes…

“I can meet you there in an hour around one.”

‘I’ll meet you there.”  Yunho looked to his watch, ‘Jae….’ Yunho wanted to tell him they miss him, but found he was unable to he’d save that for later. ‘I’ll see you there.’

“Okay… see you then.’ Yunho had just made it out of the office hoping to be at the café waiting for Jaejoong to arrive when his phone rang, but this time it was his son’s nursey he stood in his stands answering the call. “Jung Yunho speaking.’ The second he lifted the phone to his ear the look of shock on his face muttering into the line, “He did what?” Yunho looked to his watch. “I’ll be there in 15.” Yunho hung up lucking to his watch muttering, “!” as he made his way back to the parking lot.

Jaejoong had taken a seat at one of the table placing an order for two coffees, one for Yunho and one for himself. It taken a few days for him to clear his though but he felt ready to talk to Yunho about their problems. He wasn’t running away or anything just a bit of breathing space. He couldn’t believe he’d drank so much he was more so ashamed at his own action he couldn’t face Yunho caring for him as he nurses a hangover.  Jaejoong couldn’t help but look to the door as it open thinking it was Yunho. But turned when it wasn’t as the waiter returned with their drinks. He turned again when the door opened but sagged back into the chair. To anyone around they could see an anxious person sitting waiting for someone. The café was buzz the lunch time rush and made Jaejoong stare at the door for at least an hour his coffee stone cold and it lay untouched waiting for Yunho thinking he wouldn’t be long, Jaejoong shock it off he must had got stuck somewhere and waited and extra half an hour but there was still no sign he looked to his phone wondering was there any messages but nothing. He tried to ring but it kept ringing out. He got up going to the counter paying for the drinks before exiting looking both direction. Had Yunho stood him up he didn’t think he did he could go to the office but that may lead to unwanted question.

Yunho didn’t know if he could handle it, Jaejoong would know what to do.  He was still in shock from hearing his son had bitten another child. The staff had told Yunho that it not uncommon but it’s a rule to inform both parent of the incident big or small. “Had he done it before….?’

“Not to our knowledge, He not in trouble Mr Jung it’s just pro-call to inform the parent. Believe when I say Karam is one of the sweet children we have, he was just a little out of sorts. Yunho wanted to understand why, the carrier seemed to pick up on it, “Small children bite when they can't cope with a situation,” Yunho looked at her, ‘Or when they're overcome by fear, anger or frustration. They may bite because someone bit them but that wasn’t the case here. I think he was just trying to get the other child’s attention.” Yunho wasn’t sure about that. Karam had been acting up all weekend crying, yelling, foot-stamping, it didn’t take a genius to realise Karam missed Jaejoong and was letting everyone know about it.

Yunho had taken him home for the day looking in the rear-view mirror.  He’d have to tall to Karam about it later, the Nursey had given him a few tips on bring it up with him suggesting bringing it up in a game asking him to tell them some foods he likes to bite. Or name everyday objects (a cake, a table, a dog, a banana) and ask him whether they're okay to bite. He wonders would he be any good at it. And then he thought Jaejoong would be, and then he remembered their lunch… he would have curse if his son wasn’t in the back. Kids picked up on every word from their parent. He needed to call to explain, he hurried home. He was already late at it was he wondered was Jaejoong still waiting for him. His mother looked at him as he opened the door, her eyes on Karan as he walked past.

“He bit someone in nursey….

“You’re kidding…?

“No he really did….

“Can you watch him I was supposed to meet Jaejoong at one,’ he looked to his walk it was almost three. He stopped no way would Jaejoong be waiting that long. “So stupid had he missed his chance.

“Umma….!” Yunho turned at the sound of his son’s voice, his eyes widen watching Jaejoong coming out of the kitchen. Karam running as fast as his little legs would carry him.

“Jaejoong…..
