Someone Else
LettersYoonGi managed a smile as he showed up at Shin DongHyuk's place to go out to dinner with him. DongHyuk had been a friend of his for quite a while, since YoonGi was in high school, however many years ago that was.
When they arrived, they got a table immediately. DongHyuk buried his face in a menu. "So what's new with your life, YoonGi?" He asked. YoonGi grinned widely, and DongHyuk looked up once and smiled. "I'm sure it's something good."
"I met a guy~"
"It's about time, goddamn," DongHyuk responded, putting down the menu to pay him full attention. "What's he like?"
"His name is Hoseok. I've known him for two weeks or so, and-"
"Umm, as your best friend, I disallow you from dating him until a month," the younger said. YoonGi rolled his eyes.
"Shut up, Hyuk. I wasn't planning on ing him immediately. Let me ing finish," he hissed. DongHyuk chuckled and nodded.
"There's the YoonGi I know and love."
" you. Anyway, Hoseok is really sweet and funny. He's great company. He usually comes to the diner, and I consider him one of my friends. He's gone to the record shop with me and helped me," he explained. And he's beautiful and his smile is worth diamonds and I love his hair and he smells amazing and he gives good hugs and I know I don't have much experience with him but he can be so y, he added in his head.
"He sounds wonderful. Do you think he'll be better with you than Ji-"
"I'm not gonna talk about that right now," YoonGi snapped, closing his eyes and searching for mental images of Hoseok to clear his mind of Jimin.
"Oh. I'm sorry, I didn't know it would still hurt, YoonGi," DongHyuk apologized quickly.
"I figured this was the right place to tell you."
"No, it's fine, I don't blame you," YoonGi said, opening his eyes.
He stood on his tip toes and leaned in, hopefully to find out the taste of a smile.
"Are you two ready to order?" The waitress asked.
The taste of his smile.
The meal went by quickly, with small portions and short and sweet conversations. Apparently, DongHyuk had gotten a girlfriend, a spunky yet mature Korean-American girl named Stephanie. Or maybe it was Tiffany, YoonGi couldn't hear him well in the busy restaurant. The time when they left was 7:45, around the time Hoseok would be halfway home.
Meanwhile, that's exactly what Hoseok was doing. He spotted a familiar guy from across the street, and he almost shouted out to him, but then he saw someone else.
