January 2016

The ceiling had never seemed as interesting as during that afternoon. Laying on the wooden ground of Cube's practice room, Hyuna had kept her eyes glued skywards, hoping that it would have helped her to repress her tears. They had been streaming down for an hour now, moving away from their linear direction when she would move from her back to her right side, to her stomach to her left side, and again, waiting for them to dry. But they hadn't. And her phone had buzzed for what had seemed like the nth time within this hour. The same person as the previous calls: HyunSeung.

"You'll make me lose my mind." The young girl had scoffed, her laughter overtaken by a sob she had tried to hold back without success, the buzz stopping after a good dozen of tones.

Hyuna had attempted to calm herself down by inhaling and expiring loudly while closing her eyes, focusing on the quietness of Cube Entertainment's building. It had been a Sunday, and though idols were hard workers, they'd still usually give themselves a break on this day. Reckon, in Cube artists' case, they had all been on rest period since the end of last year, the sole group planned for an imminent comeback being 4Minute. But they had been far enough in the finishing touches for Hyuna to allow herself to be crying her soul out instead of practicing.

The silence surrounding her had suddenly been disturbed by a steady sound of hurried steps, followed by the closing of a door, and another. And she had known this had been the behavior of a person who had been looking for someone. Eventually, the door of the room Hyuna had hidden herself in had opened, letting in a lean and slightly taller figure than hers, with broad shoulders and light brown hair topping her head. A familiar scent of a sugary yet manly cologne had filled Hyuna's lungs painfully, suddenly making her feel out of breath. Or maybe had it been because she had indeed held her breath in, as if she could have disappeared before the person had seen her if she had done it long enough, in vain.

"Hyuna? Hyuna? Woah!" The young girl had seen her boyfriend almost stumble on her, jumping off the floor to avoid her, with quite an impressive height, she had had to admit. However, she had barely reacted to how he had crashed a few meters further, only slightly turning her head to take notes of the damages she had hoped to be severe.

"Oh, Gosh." HyunSeung had groaned, holding his ribs, an expression of pain on his face. But the pain hadn't seemed to have lasted long, as the elder man's wince had turnes into a smirk at an incomprehensible speed as he had paddled towards her cheekily.

"What are you even doing on the ground? Do you need some mouth to mouth?" He had laughed. His hand had looked for her waist, but Hyuna had rolled out of his reach, getting on her feet in a swift push on her thin but muscular arms, making sure her back had been facing him.

"Nothing." The young girl had said, wiping her tears as fast as she had managed to before she had felt HyunSeung's arms circle her, causing her to strangely shiver, a mix of uneasiness and the satisfaction she'd always feel at his contact.

"Then do you mind following me at home, to do something? I need to clear my mind, all these nosy people are driving me nuts." He had mumbled, softly nibbling at her ear, which is something that would have usually fazed Hyuna, but this time, she hadn't felt desire get the upper hand on her from his actions. She had just felt repulsed and adamant to let him get her.

"No thanks, I'm good." Hyuna had pushed him, neither too hard and neither too mildly, just enough to make herself clear. She hadn't wanted him. Not now, nor later, and at this point, she had wondered if she'd ever do again.

"Are you ok?" HyunSeung had turned her around, firmly holding onto her hand. Hyuna had followed his eyes, watching them scan her face warily, going from left to right to up and down of it. By now, she had truly been curious to know why he'd always be doing this while his analysis skills were as terrible as her ability to resist him. All it ever resulted into was him pushing the young girl to give him explanations on a silver platter, while she'd always get shut down and told: "Don't worry" when she'd ask him questions. However, she hadn't had had to be forced that day.The young girl had been angry enough to not want to let him get away without making him feel guilty of having hurt her once again.

"I don't know, what do you think?" She had retorted, not making any effort to hide the single tear that rolled down on her cheek. "Are you ok?" He had said. What a fool. Yet, the elder man had nodded in an understanding manner as he had grabbed her her hands in his, bringing them close to his lips.

"We shall pray together that I don't find myself suing these idiotic persons, shall we?"

Completely clueless regarding what his guess about the situation had been, the young girl had frowned in silence, waiting for her boyfriend to make himself clear. But definitely whatever it had been, HyunSeung had missed the target by a good mile. For a change.

"You got hacked, right? Your Instagram account. I saw your following list indicates zero and that picture…you looked sad already, but not this much. I can't believe they'd have you crying. But I understand. You feel betrayed because your trust got taken advantage of, I would know about that." He had said, shaking his head. "I always told you, baby. You're too kind. You shouldn't let these kind of things pass."

"I...I got hacked?" Hyuna had blinked several times, both in an attempt to stop her tears from falling but also to assure herself that she hadn't been dreaming. She truly had been awake. And HyunSeung had truly been oblivious to the fact that all of this had been his fault.

"I guess so?" The young man had said, frowning back at her.

"I didn't." Hyuna had freed her hands from her boyfriend's to rub them on her face. This had been it. She had been about to explode. With no filter, no chance to let him find excuses to his behavior. The camel's back had been broken.

"So…?"

"So, I unfollowed everyone on my own will. I specifically wanted to unfollow someone because their updates and likes don't interest me anymore. But of course, it would have been too obvious and troublesome, so here I am. Sad and worrying people thanks to that someone." Hyuna had said, using all her might to sound as theatrical as she had managed to, concluding her speech with an applause.

An intense staredown between the two lovers had followed the young girl's words, neither of them breaking the silence for long seconds. Matter and fact, Hyuna would have been worried if the lead vocalist had understood what she had meant faster than this, but it had still angered her greatly. Not only was he completely dumb but he had the gall to always put himself into situations that would show it. Where had justice been?

"I see." HyunSeung had finally said, letting a small laugh out. And Hyuna had deeply regretted the time she had wasted to ask herself exactly what had prevented her from printing every single one of her hand's lines on his cheek, instead of just doing it.

"It's amazing how much attention people have been paying to this someone's SNS activity. It is to wonder if they don't have anything else to do with their lives." The lead vocalist had his heels, absently looking at the ceiling, before he had looked straight into Hyuna's eyes again, making her body tense uncomfortably.

She had wanted to remain as calm as possible, knowing way too well what were her boyfriend's ways to get under her skin, one of them being to take advantage of how much vulnerable her love for him had rendered her. And as cruel as it was, Hyuna had mostly been angry at herself for letting it be as efficient as it was. However, countering him had never been an easy task, and something had told her that out of all times, this one had been about to be the worst.

"We can also wonder if this person doesn't have anything else to do in her life than to do things she knows for sure will draw attention to her and then complain that her plan worked perfectly. Unless it's not a plan, but plain stupidity?" Hyuna had inquired, tilting her head at him defiantly, doing her best to remember everything she had told herself to spit to his face during this hour of agony.

"Either way. This person didn't ask anyone to pathetically come eat in her hand, did she? To come, and then complain when they get accidentally crushed into crumbles in her palm. That is kind of ironic as well, no?"

"Accidentally?" The young girl had repeated, her voice full of condescendence, and she hadn't even tried. "No. One must be pathetic, to begin with, to dare make anyone feel guilty for being a victim."

"A vic-"

"Right, a victim." Hyuna had cut, not wanting to leave HyunSeung any space to put his mind games in place. "Your fans have been suffering your idiocy for the past five months and they obviously won't do anything to knock sense into you. They will claim your innocence while feeling ashamed to be the fan of such a ." Hyuna had hissed, putting as much emphasis as possible on the last word she had uttered.

"We're not only talking about fans, now are we?" HyunSeung had asked, being the one to sound conceited this time, making Hyuna silently curse him like she never had. Had there really been no way she could have hide her feelings from him? This had been insane.

"Maybe if you hadn't kept tabs on something that is none of your concern, you would have been ok." He had pursued as he had started pacing around the room.

"Last time I checked, you're dating me and I'm dating you, so if I go on Naver and see your name all over the main page regarding you having liked pictures of half women, you're damn right it's going to be my con-."

"The real question, though, is" HyunSeung had interrupted, raising a finger at her. "Why? Why do any of you even care for what I like on my SNS? Please, enlighten me?"

"You are an idol, for Christ's Sake HyunSeung! You should expect-"

"No, no, no, no. Enough with this excuse already, enough! I've been hearing it for too long!" The lead vocalist had raised his voice, making Hyuna slightly jolt in surprise. But she had immediately got herself back together, willing to force a passage where there might have been none.

"You should expect that people are going care even if yes, it is not their problem. Don't you know that's how it is after seven years of career? Indeed, you've been hearing it for that long. Don't you know any better than to worry your fans like this?"

"Quit using my fans as an excuse to be ganging up me, we know very well it's not about them." HyunSeung had said, the acidity of his voice piercing through Hyuna's heart. "You're the one who has been here crying, no? Because you care so much that my name is being dragged through the mud for so little, I guess?"

"Because I want you to stop ruining yourself by acting so reckless and you won't listen to me! No matter how many times I've told you that what is happening today would be inevitable if you kept going!" The young giel had felt a new arrival of tears threaten to flood out, her hands into fists by

Uhhhmm. . . This is the most vulnerable and fragile Hyunseung I have ever seen him so far. Jeez, I actually thought that he'll gone insane in the end, this is probably the side of him I've been yearning to see for quite some time now, I felt so helpless for him. His emotions were just so clear, his pain, his love and his fear to lose her have gotten under my skin. His desperation to hold unto her until the end, his inner struggle and his weakness being exposed in front of her, it was intense, sad, and beautiful. To be honest, I cried last night while reading this so I wasn't able to leave my comment because I felt heavy knowing that this is the end. I hope this will not be the last story that you'll ever write about Hyunseung and Hyuna. I can't help but to feel annoyed seeing that the other readers doesn't even bother to leave any comment not even a small word of appreciation for the fact that you've been doing your best to update on time consistently and for writing such a beautiful story. Now, I wonder what is there to anticipate in every Thursday since this is indeed the end?
Thank you so much, and forgive me for my harsh and repetitive comments. By the way, on your foreword, you said that what makes you write this story was that particular post of Hyunseung in IG which was also the scene during the end, may I ask why is that? Or do you really think that Hyuna was with him during that day?

Chapter 29: I actually remember that moment when Hyuna left for Macau for Cube concert, she was really down those times, you can tell by her eyes and demeanor that something was off. I also thought that it was probably because of G.Na and Hyunseung. Seeing this second to the last chapter, I can tell that the end will be simple and beautiful, however, I'm still hoping for Hyunseung to show a little bit more if only possible.

What I was really curious about is what does he actually feel when Junhyung told him that it was not him who's going to comeback to Hyuna, but it was Hyuna who's going to return to him, I know it hurts of course, but it was really the part that I'm most frustrated, because I really think that his feelings should have put into details after treating Hyuna like trash. I still believe that what he's showing right now is not really enough because what he did and told to Hyuna on previous chapter was just really unforgivable, hence, even if I'm not making any sense, I think it will be better if at least, Hyunseung's pain and fear should have given more details rather than just telling that he's crying or something. Since Hyuna forgave him once again, at least we should have given a little detail as to what kind of efforts he did for him to be forgiven and what kind of hell did he have to undergo as the consequence of what he did to Hyuna. Just saying as a reader though, I know I'm being repetitive with my opinion, it's because to be brutally honest, I feel like Hyunseung's love on the previous few chapters were really lackluster, the story is beautiful, but it's the only thing that I'm frustrated about.
