Taekwoon and Yooji walked through the neighbourhood park in silence, not realizing they had got to the far end of the park until they reached a lone bench. Yooji sat down, not looking at Taekwoon, but she felt him settle beside her soon after.

I am going to strangle oppa later. How could he just shove me out the door like that?! He didn’t even ask if I was willing to! But wait, who am I kidding? Kim Yooji, don’t act like you haven’t been expecting Taekwoon oppa to—

“I’m sorry,” Taekwoon spoke after a long moment of awkward silence between them.

Why does this situation feel so familiar? Oh, right. I ignored Taekwoon oppa for a month and apologized through a NOTE because I didn’t have the guts to—

“I’m sorry for avoiding you yesterday, Yooji-yah.”

“Why…?” was all Yooji managed to say; she still wasn’t looking at Taekwoon.

Taekwoon took a deep breath.

Here goes nothing.

“I…saw you and Hongbin at the pool that night…”

Yooji was confused.

What is he trying to say?

“I was jealous,” Taekwoon let out the breath he had been holding, “I thought…I thought that there was something going on between you and Hongbin.”

“Wha—”

“I like you, Yooji-yah.”

There! I said it!

It took a while for Yooji to process what Taekwoon had said.

Did I—did Taekwoon oppa just say…am I hallucinating now?!

“Are you still not gonna look at me?”

Yooji turned to the boy, eyes wide with surprise.

“I—oppa—no, wait…oh gosh…”
