Chapter 24: The Trouble 

"It's been a long time! How have you been?" Jessica released her hug on Gary and gave him a friendly punch on his chest. Gary smiled awkwardly while sneaking glances at Ji Hyo, "Yea I'm fine! What are you doing here?" Jessica squatted down and petted one of the dogs that was rubbing against her leg, "I work here!" She looked up with a smile and saw Ji Hyo staring at them. She stood up again and pointed towards her, "Who is she? Is she your..." "My friend," Gary blurted out. What the hell am I saying? "She is Ji Hyo, she is interning at the same company as me," He explained. STOP KANG GARY. Why are you making it worse? "Friend?" Jessica repeated. No, of course not my friend. She's my girlfriend! "Yea, friend," Gary said. You're so dead, Kang Gary. 

Jessica smiled and walked towards Ji Hyo. "Hi, I'm Jessica!" She offered a hand towards her with a smile. Ji Hyo stared at the hand offered and smiled weakly before giving the hand a light shake, "I'm Ji Hyo." "I have to go back to work now, enjoy yourselves alright!" Jessica turned around and walked towards Gary. "It's been a long time since we went out for a meal. Let's meet up soon!" She smiled brightly and gave Gary another hug before leaving. As soon as she left, Gary rushed to Ji Hyo to explain himself. "Friend huh?" She murmured as she picked up her bag. "Sorry, I don't feel like going around anymore. Let's go home," She said softly as she walked out of the cafe. Gary bit his bottom lip and gave himself a hard knock on his forehead to reprimand
