Chapter 17: The First

"My apologies, Sir. As the movie is high in demand, the seats are all filled up. If you don't mind, we are left with the couple seats at the back." The attendant bowed and waited for their replies. Gary stared at her for a second and widened his eyes when he finally processed what she said. He turned to Ji Hyo and smiled awkwardly, "She says there's only couple seats left. Do you still want to watch it?" Ji Hyo, already stuffing her face with popcorn, nodded her head profusely as was busy chomping down popcorn. Gary was surprised at her response and blushed slightly. She doesn't mind sharing a couple seat with me. He thought to himself and giggled as he chose the seats on the computer screen. 

WHAT. IS. THIS. A COUPLE SEAT? I THOUGHT HE MEANT DOUBLE SEATS. Must be the crunching sound of the popcorn that made me hear wrongly. Ji Hyo widened her eyes at the seats when they arrived at their seats. There were no hand rest between the seats and the two seats were literally just one long seat. She sat at a side of the seat and laughed nervously, "This seat is quite comfortable." Gary stared ahead of him at the blank screen and nodded in return. He was too nervous to even look at her. 

Thankfully, the movie started soon after. Ji Hyo was mesmerized by the movie and would not take her eyes off the screen, even when she was reaching out for the popcorn. As for Gary, he was too mersmerized by Ji Hyo to even focus on the movie. Just then, Ji Hyo reached out for more popcorn towards Gary, as he was holding on to the popcorn. At the same time, Gary placed his hand into the bag to grab more popcorn. Their hands touched. Surprised by the sudden contact, Ji Hyo immediately turned her head towards him and laughed to hi
