Chapter 20: The Official

The duo finally arrived at the train station nearest to Ji Hyo's house and Gary slowly strolled towards her house with Ji Hyo still on his back. "This seems familiar, doesn't it?" He chuckled. He thought of the previous time Ji Hyo sprained her ankle and he had carried her back home too. Ji Hyo nodded, "I must be too prone to sprains." Both of them laughed at that reply. As they were nearing her house, Gary stopped in his tracks, in front of her block. "What's wrong?" Ji Hyo asked at the sudden stop. "Ji Hyo... Can I ask you a question?" Gary said slowly without looked at her. "Although we knew each other for 2 years, we only started talking to each other during our internship period and it wasn't a long period. But, I have developed feelings for you, so deep that even time cannot explain why. I believe you knew my feelings too and you feel the same way. So... Will you... Be my girlfriend?" He finished his confession and waited for her answer. 

Ji Hyo was dumbfounded by that sudden confession. What kind of timing is this to confess when I am injured and lying on his back? He's not even looking at me when he said all those. He must have been very nervous. She thought to herself and laughed silently. She tightened her hug around his neck and replied softly, "Okay." Gary beamed at her reply and let her down from his back.
