Skinship

Thanks To Him

Short Flashback

Jay's POV

"I don't believe you."

"No I'm serious." L.Joe tried convincing me again.

I sighed, "You're lucky you're my best friend. Go tell the teacher." I was tired of arguing with this guy.

He walked away with a smirk on his face. See? That's why I don't believe him. From what I heard from him earlier, along with the guys, it seems like Hyemi is falling for him too. Byunghun... You better not be doing what you were planning to do at first.

- End of Flashback -

Hyemi's POV

"What? Do I really have to?" I pouted. I was already happy to be paired up with Yukwon.

"I'm afraid so." he sighed, "You're new partner is L.Joe."

Why did I not see this coming? I nodded politely, "Oh okay."

"I'm sorry Hyemi, I can't really do anything about L.Joe."

"But you're the teacher..."

He looked away from his clipboard to look at me. "His father is the principal; I can't afford to lose my job."

I slowly nodded, "Okay." I was going to walk off but he was going to say something else.

"There's something you can do." he handed me the water bottle holder. "Fill these up for the rest of the class. Take your time."

I smiled, "Thanks." I was about to go to the girls' locker room but then I wondered. I turned back around, "So who is Yukwon going to be with?"

The teacher just pointed, he pointed at Jay. Oh... That's not a good thing... I sighed and started walking towards the girl locker room.

"Hyemi!" I heard the teacher call my name again. I turned around. "You have to fill them up in the guys' locker room. The girls' locker room is locked.

I froze but went to the guys’ locker room. I stood in front of the door and took a deep breathe. I closed my eyes shut as I opened the door. I took a little peek to make sure no one was changing. Phew. I calmly walked in and started refilling the water bottles. I checked my phone and sadly there was still 1 hour left before school is done for the day. Why is time passing slow?I finally finished refilling the water bottles. 'Take your time.' I remembered the teacher’s words. What an understanding teacher. I sat down on a bench and just waited. I looked around and saw clothes laying everywhere. It was actually bothering me. I started folding the clothes and placed them on the bench neatly.

Author's POV

______ continued to fold the last piece of clothing that was left on the floor. Something fell out and she noticed Jay's phone. She was caught off guard at first but she just took a deep breath and picked it up. It's only now that she realized why she mistaken his phone for hers this morning. They had the same phone model. Also, Jay attached the keychain to his phone instead of his bag now.

She folded neatly the pair of pants then noticed his phone alarm started ringing. "Why does he have an alarm at this time?" she asked herself quietly. She turned it off and looked at the lock screen of his phone. It was a picture of a sunset. _____ didn't recognize it though and mistaken it for a normal wallpaper. She slid his phone into the pocket of his pants since she heard a door open. She quickly turned around then suddenly got pinned to the wall. She didn't see who it was since her eyes shut once it happened.

He smirked. She opened her eyes and saw L.Joe.

"What do you --" he interrupted her words.

"Hug me."

She froze at he said and stayed quiet. She avoided his gaze by looking down but he lightly grabbed onto her chin and pulled it up. She grew nervous.

"Hug me." he said again. She couldn't even tell if he was being serious or not.

"I don't do hugs." she managed to say while looking at him.

He rolled his eyes then looked at her. He chuckled. "That's a lie. You hugged me yesterday. In fact..."

"I didn't kiss you." she coldly interrupted him.

He chuckled and continued to smirk. "Okay, I might have lied about that. It doesn't mean that will never happen." He slowly leaned in.

Your POV

I swear this guy... I looked down and screamed as loud as I can. It was pretty loud. The way L.Joe flinched; you can tell that I shouted a little too loud.

The door that goes to the gym swung open and there was...

"Yukwon..." I said, out of breath for some reason. Probably because SOMEONE was really close to me.

Yukwon walked over with a tense expression on his face and grabbed L.Joe's shoulder roughly then pushed it away from me.

L.Joe, being the so full of pride jerk, just smirked as he took a glance at Yukwon.

"Always coming to save the day, aren't you?" L.Joe said as he fixed his clothes.

Yukwon didn't answer. His hands balked into fists.

Uh oh. I took a step closer to Yukwon.

L.Joe smiled evilly as he looked me and Yukwon's way. What is this guy p---

He grabbed my wrist and the next thing I knew, I was beside L.Joe and his arm was wrapped around my waist.

I glared at him. "Do you want to die?"

He smiled; well it was more of a smirk. He whispered in my ear, "For you? I would."

I shivered as I felt his breath glide over my neck. I pushed his arms off me but then he grabbed my hand, linking our hands together. I roughly shook it off.

"What’s wrong with you?" I never heard myself be so cold.

The door swung open again, I heard.

"What trouble are you causing now?" I recognized Jay's annoyed tone. He walked over to us; each step he took was louder as he got closer. He looked at me for a second then raised an eyebrow.

What? Why did he look at me like that?

"I can't believe you're actually being serious about this. It doesn't look like you're doing so well." He simply crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.

L.Joe sighed quietly, enough that Yukwon didn't notice. I did though. What are they even talking about? I shook my head then distracted Yukwon from looking at L.Joe badly. "Let's go back to the gym." I softly said and grabbed his wrist.

Once we stepped out of the locker room, it was completely quiet. Why is everyone looking at me like this? Nothing even happened. I looked down to avoid everyone's stare. We stopped walking at one point and noticed Minhyuk's shoes in front of me. I looked up.

"You okay?" he asked as he bit his lip with a worried look.

I nodded. "I'm fine."

"I can hit him if you want me to."

"It’s fine Minhyuk." I just laughed.

He looked at Yukwon this time. "How about you? Did L.Joe do anything?" he asked.

"He was just being L.Joe." Yukwon said, a little tense.

I looked back at Minhyuk. He looked at me and seemed like he just remembered something but he didn't say anything. 'What is it?' I mouthed and tilted my head to the side.

'Later.' he simply mouthed and waved to go back with his partner.

What was that about?

Jay's POV

I looked at him lean against the wall then noticed that the locker room looked so much more organized than when I last saw it. Where’s my... Oh there's my stuff.

"This is hard."

I turned to L.Joe. "What? Making her like you?"

He nodded.

"You're really being a jerk if you're still aiming for that bet with L." I can't believe he actually agreed to this bet.

He didn't reply.

"Byunghun, I swear if you are still doing this be-"

"I'm not."

It's really hard to believe this guy but the way he said it was different. I don't get him. I sighed.

"I..." he paused.”I think I actually... Like her." he stuttered.

... What? I'm hearing this? From L.Joe? Lee Byunghun? That's a first

"Well, I'm happy to see that you're growing up." I patted his back.

He bit his lip. "How did you do it?" he suddenly asked.

"What?"

"Uhm, that girl... You used to... Yeah. How'd you make her like you?" I can tell that he tried to ask without making it awkward. Well it still did. "I don't why how I made her like me, to be honest." It's true though. "Or even why, that is."

"Then just help me." he asked sincerely as he looked up at me.

I raised an eyebrow. "You really better be serious about this girl."

He nodded.

I sighed, I can't say no to this guy. "You better not screw things up."

Your POV

I sat on the mat as I waited for my dumb partner to get back. I wonder what Minhyuk talking about. I hope he tells me soon because it's bothering me right now. I rested my head on my knees and continued to wait.

"Hyemi-ah." I heard a nice tone call my name. "I hope you didn't wait long."

I looked up to see who it is. What? No it can’t be him. I looked to my left, then to my right. Who called me?

"Yah. Pabo, I'm the one that said it." he slightly flicked my forehead.

I blinked several times to make sure that this was reality and not a dream. Then again, why would I ever dream about this? "L.Joe..." I don't even know what to say. I tilted my head to the side.

He smiled at me with a bright eye smile and sat in front of me. "You seem dazed; want me to get you some water?"

"Wh-who are you?" I couldn't help but ask. This was seriously not L.Joe. This must be his twin brother. If he had one...

"It's me L.Joe. How can you forget?" still spoke, with that cheeky smile.

I shook my head. "You're weird."

He positioned himself to start the sit up and I held onto his shoes.

"3, 2, 1, Go." I started the timer on my watch. I counted as he started doing sit ups. I really don't understand this guy... What the hell was that about? His happy and jolly tone with his stupid cheeky smile... Just before that, this guy tried kissing me... IN THE GUY'S LOCKER ROOM. I snapped out of my train of thought as I noticed him starting to get up too high for each sit up. "Yah, get any closer and my hand will meet your face." I threatened him.

He continued his sit ups with a smirk now. There's the L.Joe I know. This guy has like two personalities. He's very confusing.

My eyes widened at how close his face repeatedly came closer to mine. I awkwardly looked away. I feel like we're doing the scene from Secret Garden. The timer of my watch alarmed and I quickly stood up to avoid more awkward close ups of his face in front of mine.

"So how much did I do?" he chuckled before he asked carelessly.

Oh, snap. I was supposed to count. "Uh. How much do you think you did?" I tried avoiding his question.

"I don't know, that’s why I'm asking you." he scoffed as she blew his bangs away from his face.

I glared at him. I looked at the time and there was already ten minutes left. The teacher noticed me and walked over.

"How much did he do?" he waited with his pencil and clipboard.

"Oh uh- sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I looked down.

"It's okay." he looked at his watch, "You'll just do it next class." he said. "You can all go change now." he said to the whole class.

Great. I have to deal with the same awkwardness next class... With this idiot. I sighed for the probably 100th time this class.

"I guess we'll do this again next time." L.Joe whispered in my ear right beside me. I shivered again.

I took a deep breath before I was going to scold him. I looked at him and he just grinned at me then walked to the guy's locker room. I am kicking you continuously in my mind. THIS GUY IS SO FRUSTRATING. I suddenly felt a poke on my shoulder. I took a deep breath before turning around to calm down. Oh. "Hi Minhyuk." I happily said.

He smiled. "The group is watching a movie later, want to come?"

"Is Sierra going to be there?" I asked.

He nodded.

"Okay I'll come."

"Okay, we're meeting in front of the school when the bell rings. I'll see you there." he waved then went to go change.

When is he going to tell me what he was talking about earlier?

L.Joe's POV

Once the bell rang, I picked up my bag and waited for Jay. He grabbed his bag then we left the locker room.

"I still don't believe you." he said and laughed.

"Look, I'm really serious this time." I tried convincing him.I looked ahead and saw Hyemi pass.

"Maybe you should catch up to her. You do remember that she can't go to her house." Jay said.

Oh , he's right. "Be right back."

"I'll be at the entrance."

I ran through the crowd to catch up to her. Stupid girls trying to grab on to me. I shrugged them off. "Hyemi-ah!"

She turned around, she didn't look happy.

"Just come." I made the hand motion. “You’re causing traffic." When she noticed that I was right, she quickly walk over to where I was.

"What the hell do you want L.Joe?" she irritatedly asked me.

I couldn't help but smile. It's cute when she's like this. "Let's go eat out."

She raised an eyebrow at me. "Are you serious?"

"Do I look like I'm kidding?"

She sighed. "L.Joe, I don't know why you're being so persistent with me but can you just stop?"

I bit my lip. Her eyes widened then she looked away. Huh? What was that about? I turned around and surprisingly there was no one behind. Why'd she react that way?

She just stared at me then suddenly coldly looked away and was about to walk away.

I grabbed her wrist. "Wait." Woah, I did that? "Just give me a chance." I said seriously.

"You know, maybe I would if you weren't such a jerk with my friends." she explained

I chuckled. "Anything else babe?" I wrapped my around around her waist and pulled her close to me.

She shyly looked away. How cute. "Can you not uh... Not-" she kept hesitating.

I just smiled at her cuteness.

"Yah, what are you smiling about?"

I shook my head. "Nothing," I continued to smile, "now what were you saying?"

She looked at me for a second then quickly looked away. "Oh, can you stop doing so much skinship?"

"But you like it," I smirked. "You're blushing right now." She looked down but now her face was on my chest. I chuckled. "See."

"Can you let me go now?" she slowly asked.

"I will if you come to wherever I go today."

She sighed. "But I have plans today..."

"Cancel them. Just for today."

She was thinking. "Just for today?"

, she's going to use that against me now. "Let me rephrase that. Two days per week."

"What?" she looked at me confused.

"You have to spend two days with me every week."

She laughed for a second. "Why do I have to do that?"

Hmmm, think L.Joe. "I'll stop with the skinship at school."

She just looked at me and waited.

"Starting with this." I let go of her waist and she took a step back.

"And if I don't do the two per week thing?" she asked me.

"Then you'll get the most skinship you can get at school." I grinned.

She sighed then answered her phone. "Hello?"

"Oh, Yukwon, hey,"

Is he seriously calling her? Always there to ruin the moment.

"Uh," she looked at me and bit her lip causing me to bite mine. She looked away. "I... Don't think I can make it today." Hyemi told him.

Score 1 for L.Joe and nothing for Yukwon. I chuckled, this is going well.

"Something came up, I'll see you guys tomorrow or something." She nodded on her phone, "Okay, sorry though. Bye bye." she hung up then glared at me. "Are you happy now?"

I can’t believe she actually did that. Oh well, easier for me.

"Hey, what're you still doing in school?" I heard footsteps get closer.

I looked to my right and saw L. "Hey L." I coolly waved.

He stood with me and Hyemi. He took a glance at Hyemi then looked back at me.

"I see." he chuckled. "Good luck." he said, patted me on the back then walked away.

"What was that about?" Hyemi asked me.

"Nothing." I smiled at her. "So? Agree?"

"Anything to stop skinship from you. I have so many of your fangirls hating on me because of you."

"So let's go?" I put my hand out.

She just walked forward, towards the entrance of the school. I catched up.

Your POV

Sigh... Finally. This was the most awkward thing to do. Especially the fact that Jay was with us the whole time. I pretended to sleep on the bus to avoid having to join in on their conversation.

"You should wake her up, it's almost our stop." Jay's voice spoke.

"When are your parents getting back from their business trip?" L.Joe asked Jay.

So that's why his parents weren't home when I slept there.

"They said a month." Jay replied. "But she's not going to stay at my place for a month."

"Why not?" L.Joe asked, surprised.

"She's going to suspect something. She's probably going to wonder why she's staying again at my house" Jay started explaining.

They're talking about me. And what? Did I hear that right? I'm staying at Jay's house again?

L.Joe sighed. "You're right. I don't know what to tell her."

Jay's the one that sighed this time. "Are you 100% sure that she doesn't remember a thing from that day?"

Is he talking about the long so called 'date' I had with L.Joe? I do remember! Just not the part where I sleep at Jay's. And... Just going home, I can't even remember. Even though I had my eyes closed, I still felt their stares right at me.

"She remembers what we did, just not what happened after I guess..." L.Joe trailed off.

"You're going to have to tell her eventually."

Going to have to tell me what? They are talking about me right? What could they possibly have to tell me?
