He sat down next to me and I tossed half of the blanket over his shoulder. He looked at me.

‘Jeongmal Mianhae,’ he said once more. ‘Jeongmal Mianhae.’ I showed him a small smile.

‘It’s OK. I’m just not used to… intimate moments,’ I told him.

‘Eh? But you’re 19! Someone as pretty as you should already have a boyfriend,’ he said.

I chuckled. ‘You would think right? But I came from a rich family. I never really went out, never had friends.  All I did was study to make my parents happy. You know, my family owns that boat you were on.’

‘Chincha?! Are you from a rich family?’

‘Yeah.’ I nodded. ‘I never went to school, I was home schooled. Never made any friends. My parents were afraid that if people found out I was the daughter of a rich couple then whey would use me as a hostage or revenge or something.

‘Wow. I never knew this was the burden of being a part of a rich family. If you don’t mind me asking Hana, why did you jump then?  Your parents spent years keeping you safe, and you commit suicide? It seem pointless after the years of protection. ‘

‘You thought … I was committing suicide? Well, I guess I would have looked like that but the reason I jumped was … for … attention.’

Yoseob stared at me with wide eyes. I began telling him everything.
