I sat in the living room with my brothers who were playing with stuffed animals. My youngest brother Taemin, who is 8, had a white rabbit tightly in his grip while Kibum, who is 10, held a pink rabbit in his hands. Watching them was boring, so I the TV and happily began watching my favorite show.

We heard the front door open suddenly and we ran to the door to the living room, peeking our head out, to see a worried umma and appa. I stepped out into the hall and looked at them.

“Umma, Appa, is something wrong?” I asked.

“Boys, go pack things that you want to take with you…We’re going to go live with your uncles from a little while.” Said umma, who was smiling sweetly at us.

Taemin and Kibum nodded happily and ran upstairs like the little oblivious kids they are, I stared and could see fear in my umma’s eyes. He smiled at me suddenly, but it didn’t reach his eyes so I knew it was fake.

“Umma are you ok?” I asked.

He nodded slowly, then kneeled down in front of me and ruffled my hair, “Everything is fine dear…Now go pack up.”

“No I don’t want to move…” I said.

“If you go pack up I’ll make you chicken for dinner for a month.” Said my umma and my eyes lit up.

“ALRIGHT!!! You have a deal!” I said, running up stairs and packing up everything happily.

[3^rd person PoV]

 Meanwhile, somewhere else another ten year old was crying while his appa hit him and beat him to the point the boy could barely move. His dad cursed at the boy, and kicked him angrily. The boy however bit his lip to hold back the pain filled screams wedging their way out, knowing that the beatings would only get worse if he did. His tears fell silently, making the man happier.

The older man then hit the boy’s face harshly; the young boy looked at the man with hatred and anger.

“THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT LISTENING YOU BRAT!” yelled the man, the boy’s father.
