Chapter 2

Naeun’s POV

“Thank you yeoshin! This chocolates taste so sweet!” Eunji said while eating the chocolates the boy gave me,

“Welcome” I said and read my book again,

“What are you reading this time?”

“Math”

“Oh, tell me, how’s your first day?”

“The same”

“Speak longer!” she saidand gets my book. I pull my math notebook and read it instead,

“Too tiring”

“What?! You become tired whenever you speak?!” I nod and get the math book on her hand,

“That’s why you don’t have friends in school”

“It’s fine”

“Why?”

“They’re all the same”

“Huh?”

“They’re users”

She sigh, “What can I do to change you anyway?”

“Nothing”

“Ugh! I hate that bastard who did that to you!!!”

I didn’t speak and look at the chocolates on the table…

Chocolates… I once love it but since that day, I hate it…

“Nigh, eunji” I stand up and walk upstairs,

“It’s too early”

“I’m tired”

“Ok, ok. Good night”

when get on the room I quickly jump on the bed and look at the ceiling, “Love… a game?” I close my eyes. Let the past die… live with the present,

ZzzzzZZZzzzzZZZzzz

[School]

I was walking to our room when I heard the Special Section students…

“One of the Campus Princess huh?” she sounds envious,

I look at them with my popular emotionless face,

“So?” I ask coldly, 

“Nothing, just telling you that the Special Section will beat the Star Class someday… just wait and see” her lips twitch forming a smile. 

“Ok” I don’t care what they’re talking about so I just nod and say ‘ok’ but then, they look angrier. Did I say something? I just say ‘ok’, right?

“You sound as if you don’t care!!!”

“You’re right” now I trade her of my popular poker face,

“Argh! You’re not usually speaking a lot but I hate it more. Let’s go girls” she said and stomped away.

Abnormal… is Special Section really acts like that? Oh well, never mind them.

When I was about half the hallway,

“Have you heard about the fight between the Ice Princess and one of the Special Section Student ?”

“Is it real? I thought that wasn’t real”

*sigh* I told you, nothing good will happen if you are popular; they will never treat you as a normal student. They will know what happen to you every second.

“Hi icy!” speaking of the devil, here he goes again.

I just look at him and- what did he call me?!

“What did you call me?” –usual emotionless tone,

*wink* “Icy”

“Why?”

“Short for Ice, Icy”

“You just change letter ‘e’ to ‘y’”

“Whatever, from now on I will call you Icy”

“Whatever, do what you want” i immitate his coice,

“Ok Icy”

“Don’t talk to me inside the room”

“Why not?” I didn’t bother to reply and just go on my sit. When I have  seated, he sits beside me, “Why are you there?” I ask, “The professor said I can sit wherever I want”

I just nod and read my book. “Hmm, by the way, good luck on the test” he said and smile at me, I didn’t reply and just gave him a poker face, “Hey, I’m changing the challenge” I look at him again,

“What?” I ask,

“If I win, you will become my slave and if you win I will become yours- I mean I will become your slave” he smile

“Pathetic”

“So, deal?”

“No”

He gets the paper I signed yesterday, “Sorry but you already agree” he smile widely again. I hate people who smiles at me, they all look so happy unlike me…

“Fine”

“Yes!” he said and punch the air upwards. How old is this Casanova anyway?

“Icy, what’s your full name?” he ask again, “Son Naeun” I said

“Nice to meet you. I’m Lee Taemin, but you can call me Cav” he gave his hand for a handshake but I just look at it thinking that this man wants you to be one of his girls… I was about to take it back I put it down,

“Huh? Why?” he ask,

“I’m not gonna be your girlfriend”

“Huh?”

“….” I didn’t speak,

“I said ‘it’s nice to meet you’ not ‘can you be my girlfriend’? Every word in it is different” he said and pull my hand… he shook it. “Nice to meet you too C-c… C-cav” he smiles and pats me on the head. I was shock…

“Don’t touch me” I said and slap his hand. I thought Casanova’s are ert and flirt? But why is he acting the opposite?

“Friends?” he asks. For a while, I can’t speak… well, I didn’t want to talk to everyone that’s why I don’t speak a lot because I know Eunji is my one and only friend, for the past two years, my so called friends just used me… they make me do their assignments, use my money whenever we go shopping and I always buy them food. They are my batch 2 friends, because the first friends i have has different story. I thought that’s how friends get along but one day…

“Hey” he wave his hand in front of me, “What?” I ask,

“I ask, can I be your friend?”

“No”

“But neither once in my life I never have a friend, they all look at me with judgmental stares” I was shock to hear those words from him. Then… how can he smile at me like a while ago? Being judge by someone hurts…

“We have the same fate, we are hated by people” I whisper and look at him, “Sure, but we’re rivals”

He smile, “Yeah, we are. I will beat you and make you my slave” I sigh, did he know how to respect girls?

The door open and the professor come in,

After greeting good morning, he quickly started the exam,

[Exam Time]

This is all too simple math problems, why did I even review?

I look at Taemin and he has a frown on his face, “Damn” I heard him whisper.

I secretly smile because of that, Hahahahhaa!!!

Taemin’s POV

Damn! This math problems is too

simple! How can they give exams like this? It’s too easy!!!! A grade school student can solve it though. But I know hyung can’t. He definitely can't. 

“Times up!”

I throw my pen on the bag because I was finished just almost 5 minutes with 30 math questions. I just kept on looking at it because I can’t believe this was too easy for the higher section. Because we are Star Section, everyone is finished in 10 minutes. How about the Special section? Are they also intelligent like the Star Class?

“Ok! Class is adjourned” Yeah, we only have class for 10 to 20 minutes… 30 minutes is the longest, and as far as I know the Special Section also have class for 30 minutes. Oh well, never mind, as long as I can beat Icy. She was so proud of herself but then… we are friends now! Yehey! First step accomplished!!! 

“Taemin, how did the exam go for you?” she ask, “Tss, too easy” i said back.

“You’re a campus prince, right?” I smile and nod, “What’s your place in the top 10?” she ask again,

“Secret”

“Huh? Why don’t you want to say it?”

“Then tell me, what’s your place?” I ask back, 

“Second”

“Do you know who’s the first?”

“No”

“Do you know what’s the difference in your scores?”

“Yes. 98.84 and the top 1 is 98.85”

Too close…

“Oh ok”

She gets her bag and walk, “Hey, where are you going?” I ask,

“Garden” she plainly said, can’t she ask me if I can come?

“Can I come?” I ask, “We’re rivals, though I accept you as my friend” her answer is not connected to my question…-_-, Why is she like that?

“That place is not mine, you can do whatever you want” she said again and this time she disappeared,

Why can’t I flirt with that girl? I’m a Casanova, right? I must make her fall for me and… break her heart?!

No! No! No! Hmm, Yes, yes, yes?

I stand up, get my bag and get out of the room when-

*slap*

I saw three girls with a special section logo slap Icy, what’s happening?!

Naeun’s POV

I was walking at the hallway…

“Here comes the popular Ice Princess…” here she goes again, Titania Hayashi, Japanese. She is my ‘friend’ two years ago… but she’s a relationship wrecker for me, I treated her as my best friend but she stole him away from me… well, she didn’t stole him but- I don’t want to talk about it. I saw two girls with her, the girl on her right side is also the girl who I met this morning. I just continue walking when she block my way, I look at her and ask why,

“Your behavior is disgusting” she said that while smiling. What a pretender, she wants to act beautiful and perfect to everyone because she is an SS (special section) student,

“Ok” I said and walk again but she keeps on blocking me, “So, you finally accept everything?” she ask again and this time...

“Say what relationship wrecker?” I was trying to make her angry so that everyone in the hallways can see the real her. Then she…

slaps me. I didn’t react as if I’m angry or it hurts, I just touch my face and look at her with an emotionless face. And then I smile at her, “You make everyone see the real you” I said and stomp on her feet secretly,

“Ouch”

“Why did you do that?!” girl no. 1 ask me, she is the girl I saw this morning, “Do what?” I ask, I was clapping my hands on my mind,

She pulls my necktie but-

“What’s your problem with her?” Huh?! Taemin ask while smiling but his eyes says the opposite. He touch the girls hand and it slowly slip away on my necktie. He pulls me closer to him and seriously look at me while he smiles at them. Tss, how unfair can you be? Smiling at them while giving me a serious face? Please. Give me a break! I forehead crumpled when i feel something...

HE’S HOLDING ME ON MY WAIST!!!!!
