And they lived happy Lee ever after.
The Played PlayboyMinwoo saw that look on his brother's face when his bride walked in. It was as if he was glowing. Minwoo couldn't wait until his face would be lit up like that once more.
During the ceremony and after they had cut the cake, Minwoo walked up to his brother and placed a firm hand on his shoulder, "You must be really happy, huh?"
"Of course," his oldest brother, Sangmin, smiled. "Who would've thought someone like me would find himself in a situation like this, eh? And to think that beautiful woman right there," he paused to gaze at his bride that was dancing in the middle of the room with her father, "is now my wife. It's incredible, really."
"I'm so glad you've had your happy ending," Minwoo smiled, feeling a sense of proudness that his quiet and slightly 'strange' brother has found love.
"This isn't my happy ending, little bro." Sangmin ruffled Minwoo's hair, "this is only the beginning."
Minwoo left the wedding after the ceremony and went out to be by himself. He said his goodbyes to the relatives and friends. It felt a little suffocating being around so many happy people. He went into a small cafe and sat down in the corner, away from everyone so he could be by himself and his thoughts. Since it was nearing Christmas families were out and it was loud wherever he went.
Clasping his hands around his drink, he looked up at the ceiling and sighed. Closing his eyes slowly, small little thought started to flash through across his head.
What now?
He didn't know what route he wanted to take with his life. Should he stay here? Should he apply for college? And if he was to stay here then will it be weird with Yoorin? But then it wasn't guaranteed that she would even want to be in his life to make it strange.
He lowered his head thought about the things L.Joe had said to him on that night that he had left Jeongmin's apartment. Maybe he should take up on the offer. There was nothing he could lose. He could be happy.
But maybe it was too soon.
But then again it could also be one of the best decisions he could make. All he had to do now was take up on the opportunity and see where it would lead him.
Getting out his phone, he began to tap a text message to L.Joe:
I'm in. Just tell me what to do and where to go.
The following day Yoorin was up bright and early. She jumped out of bed and noisily made her way to the bathroom to wash up.
She pulled out her phone and started reading the text messages from Jeongmin while brushing her teeth. She choked, snorted and let out a loud belly laugh at the things he was sending her. It was amazing how his sense of humour could be seen via text messages.
She ran a brush through her hair, she grabbed a hair band and tied it up into a quick bun before pulling a thick sweater over her head and jumping into a pair of fluffy socks. Grabbing her old red scarf that was hanging on from the closet's door knob and wrapping it around her neck, she yelled downstairs, "Mum! I'm going out into town with Jeongmin so I won't be back for Dinner."
"Okay, honey."
Yoorin searched for a pair of shoes that wold keep her feet warm when she realised that her closet's door was open. She straightened her back and stared long and hard inside it before smiling to herself and shutting it with a soft click.
Minwoo looked at himself in the mirror and fixed that one strand of hair that was out of place. He straightened his collar and smiled at his reflection. "You can do this," he whispered to himself.
Walking passed the table in the kitchen on his old home, he picked up his dark jacket that was laid on the chair and shrugged into it. He paused and stopped what he was doing and stared at the chair where he had left his jacket. The memory of Yoorin sitting there on the first day he brought he over came running back. Shaking his head, he grabbed a scarf from the counter and walked out. He could feel his heart beating faster as he got into his shoes and walked outside. He was nervous. He was excited. There was a small fear of the unknown lingering in the back of his mind as he set off.
Yoorin felt relieved to be out from the cold and into the safe warm car. She rubbed her hands together to heat them up and turned to give Jeongmin a smile. "Let's go."
"Let's go," he repeated with a nod, placing his hand at the back of her headrest and looking back to reverse drive.
She chatted to Jeongmin about he plans for the holiday and how she was so excited about giving him her present. Jeongmin smiled at her and told her his parts.
Minwoo straightened his posture and patted away any creases that he could see on his clothes. He clicked a button on his phone and his screen came back to life. Squinting at his phone, it stated that he was ten minutes early but he still could not help being impatient as it was amazingly cold outside.
He breathed out deeply and watched the clouds of vapour swim around him.
He shoved his bare hands into the pockets of his jacket and shuffled his feet around to keep warm.
He was just about to bring out his phone and check the time again when the sound of shoes crunching on snow caught his attention.
He looked up and his breath got caught in his throat and his heart started racing.
Yoorin grabbed onto Jeongmin's arm excited and pointed at food stall that was emitting absolutely mouth watering aroma from. "I haven't had breakfast yet, let's go."
"Okay, okay," Jeongmin laughed as he was getting dragged along.
"Ahjumma, can we get a serving for two, please?" she pointed at the food and smiled at the lady.
The food got served to them fast and they continued their walk around town with Jeongmin holding both of their foods. "Here," he said, shoving the food in front of her face.
She opened and he pushed the food into it roughly. She coughed and hit his arm frantically while he just laughed.
Minwoo felt rude for always trying to steal glances at her but he just couldn't help it. There was just something so captivating with her round eyes that were framed by dark lashes. Her long hair that flowed down past her shoulder. Her laugh that seemed to echo in her ears.
"You must be so cold," she said, interrupting his thoughts. "You're not wearing any gloves."
He looked at his hand and said, "Ah, well not really I'm fi-"
She ignored him and grabbed his hand with hers that was in a fluffy glove. Letting out a satisfied sigh, she said, "Ah, this is so much better."
He stared at their intertwined hands and smiled, looking back ahead and swung the both of their hands with each steps.
Yoorin shoved all the remaining pieces of food into and started to chew vigorously. Jeongmin had to work had on holding his laugh back as he watched her chewing down all the food all the while looking just like a hamster.
"Take your time, it's not going anywhere." He said, and patting her back when she let out a choked cough.
She swallowed the last bit and breathed out deeply. "Yeah, but the shop doesn't let us bring any food in."
"Yoorin."
"Hm?" She turned her face to him and he chucked, wiping the corner of with his thumb.
He smiled and bend his knees so his eyes were leveled with hers and gave a quick peck to her lips. "You had some sauce left," he laughed as he his own lips and grabbed her hand, walking into the shop that she had been begging to go.
The two made their way indoors to get away from the cold. They settled down on a sofa inside a bookshop and Minwoo didn't waste anytime.
"What's your favourite colour? What's your favourite food? Where did you grow up? What's your favourite season? What are your hobbies? What did you want to be when you were little? What are you doing now? How did you get to know L.Joe?"
The girl chuckled as she unwrapped her long cream coloured scarf and settled it on her lap, "My favourite colour is silver."
"Silver?" Minwoo raised his eyebrows. "That sure is different."
"I know," she looked his way and smiled. "My favourite food is sweet potatoes - ha
