“Truth or dare?” I swallowed as Luhan suggested the next game for the night. There was a glint of mischievousness in his eyes as he looked around the small circle, a smirk clear on his face. My stomach flipped a little as the ideas of some of the tortures Luhan would put us through circled in my brain. It wasn’t that I didn’t like the game, it was just, Luhan could be quite brutal and blunt at times and this game wasn’t an exception.

“Sure,” Baekhyun, a friend of Sehun’s smirked along, his perfectly lined eyes narrowing slightly when his boyfriend gulped aloud. Kris shivered under the gaze of his feline friend and shuffled on the spot, dreading the worst.

“And let’s say, if you don’t answer, do it properly or if the person asking doesn’t do a good job, whoever’s in the wrong, has to drink,” Luhan added. We all nodded, knowing better then to go against him.

“Ok, me first,” Jongin butted in. “Luhan, truth or dare?”

“Truth.”

“Ok … um,” I glanced at Jongin as his brows furrowed in concentration. It made me smile as his tongue poked out from behind his lips and his eyes focused on one person. “Have you ever skipped school?”

With that everyone burst out laughing. The tension that had built up was quickly shattered at my boyfriend’s lame question earning a bright red face from Jongin and hysterics for everyone else. I chuckled along as well, rubbing comforting circles in his back as he turned away from the group, offended.

“Jongin that was awful,” Sehun’s face was contorted with a laugh, a rare sight as he smacked his knee.

“Drink!” Luhan, on the other hand, was not amused and soon decided that he would take over and start the game off once Jongin had taken a shot. Everyone in the circle agreed, even if it was reluctantly before holding their breaths and hoping they weren’t going to be picked.

“Baek-ah, truth or dare?” Luhan smirked. Baekhyun pretended to think, tapping his chin before breaking out into a grin.

“Dare.” How was he not terrified?

“Ok, make out with Kris, tongue and all so we can all see,” Luhan obviously thought he had started the game of with something no one would do, only to be proved wrong when Baekhyun, with more force than anticipated, grabbed his boyfriend’s neck and slammed their lips together. Tongues were flying and saliva was exchanged as the rest of us sat there, bewildered. It wasn’t something any of us wanted to watch but when it was there, no one could look away. I noticed Sehun shuffle around slightly, realising he was trying to hide something as the two in the centre pulled a part. Both of them were red and breathing heavily as they returned to their seats, winking at each other across the circle.

“Lu, drink,” Sehun commanded as he tried to pour the clear liquid down Luhan’s throat. In a strop, Luhan snatched the bottle and took a swig before coughing violently. I tried to hold back a giggle, only to be shot death rays when Luhan caught me. That shut me up and I waited patiently for my turn, dreading it.

Numerous shots later the game was still in full flow with Jongin and Sehun now topless. I was slightly tipsy, still able to comprehend the world around me unlike some others who were almost slurring as dares and questions shot from their lips.

“Kris-hyung, truth or dare?” Luhan asked. I giggled nervously as his lips peeled from his face into a terrifying smirk and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Kris was slient for a moment before speaking calmly.

“Truth.”

“Have you every cheated on Baekhyun?” Luhan could have been the devil for all we knew as he lounged lazily across Sehun as though he was the king of the world, the underworld. Kris’ eyes went hard, as though it was a warning before answering with a cold ‘no.’ Luhan, however, in his drunken stupor didn’t seem happy and time seemed to stop when the next words came out.

“What about Tao?” Baekhyun seemed to register the name as he sat up in confusion and stared at Kris. Kris became pale suddenly and his eyes fluttered. Worry coursed through me as I watched the scene in front unfold.

“Tao?” Baekhyun asked in a whisper.

“That was a mistake. I was stupid and we had only just met and I wasn’t thinking,” the words didn’t stop flowing as they came out of Kris’ mouth, just like the tears that fell from Baekhyun’s eyes as he stood and stormed out the room, followed by a distraught Kris. Sadness came over me as the four of us left sat in silence.

“Let’s move on, they’ll be ok,” Luhan said quietly before nudging Sehun who got the message.

“Tae-hyung, truth or dare?” Sehun asked with cloudy eyes as he his dry lips.

“Uh … truth,” I mumbled. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy when Luhan turned his head around and whispered in his boyfriend’s ear from his place on his lap. I shivered when his lips opened, not able to work out what was coming my way.

“Ok, hyung? Uh … if you could an old boyfriend, with Jongin watching, who would it be?” I swallowed and immediately felt guilty as a picture of Minho flashed into my mind immediately. I couldn’t say him could I? I mean I had dated other guys, heck even girls but none of them came straight into my head. I could feel myself heat up as Jongin’s eyes was concentrated on me, the other’s joining. I panicked as the names of all the other people I had dated flew from my head and I was left floundering in a cloud of alcohol.

“Minho,” I slurred slightly. I immediately regretted it though when Jongin shuffled away from me with accusing, teary eyes.

“You still like him?” Jongin sniffed and my heart broke. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the boy in front of me as drunken tears spilled from his eyes and fell down his perfect cheeks. I swallowed thickly, thinking of an excuse quickly that I knew would make sense to his smashed brain.

“Ani baby, I scream so you could come and rescue me,” I held my breath only to let it out in relief as the child-like boy crawled back into my lap and kissed me on the neck.

“I’ll be your prince,” I laughed at what Jongin said with the upmost sincerity. It was cute and even my half clouded brain couldn’t help but want to devour him there and then.

“Sure, whatever you want,” I smiled and kissed the top of his head.

“Ok … now that’s done, Ninn-ah, truth or dare,” Luhan smiled creepily and I was bought back to reality. Jongin frowned at the stupid nickname before answering with ‘truth’.

“Kyungsoo or Taemin?” I froze as the words fell from Luhan’s lips. I hoped that Jongin would pick me but that hope soon faded as the boy currently curled around me hesitated. I pushed him away, wanting to hear the answer away from him incase it was what I didn’t want to hear. He opened his mouth, no sound coming out, before closing it again. He repeated this a few time whilst he just stared at Luhan with death written across his face.

“Jongin?” I whispered. Tear gathered in my eyes as said boy looked at me with guilt written across his face, the atmosphere tightening.

“Hyung, I’m sor~” he was cut off as I fled the room into the bathroom and locked the door. I could hear through into the next room as I sat whimpering on the closed toilet seat.

“Why do you ruin everything Xia Lu? Are you trying to break everyone up? Until you get this sorted I’m not talking to you,” I heard Sehun shout and the sound of the door slamming before closing my eyes and wishing this was a dream.
