“I don’t want to go,” I whined as we placed the last pieces of luggage into the back of the car. The best day that I had ever had was far gone and now we had to take the torturous journey back to Seoul, work and school.
Luhan and Sehun had become more manageable over the last week. Not only had I almost made a friend in Luhan, Sehun’s face didn’t seem to drive me insane anymore and I was actually able to have a conversation with the two of them without wanting to rip their heads off.
“I know you don’t want to hyung but you have to,” I shot Jongin a glare when the patronizing words came out of his mouth. I wasn’t a child and one of my pet peeves was being treated like one. I stuck my tongue out at him before pecking him on the cheek and sliding into the car.
The night before was just spent watching films in each other’s embrace and talking once the hunhan couple had disappeared into their room and were partaking in something we both weren’t ready for. We talked long and hard about both of our past boyfriends and how we weren’t going to make the same mistakes they had; Jongin believing that regular talks would help both of us and I agreed. If we were going to be in a relationship then we were going to be completely honest with each other.
“Ok, Sat Nav set, let’s go,” Jongin sung as we drove away from the pension, all of us feeling the pang of sadness in our hearts. The past week had been amazing and none of us wanted to leave behind the memories. Lots of pictures had been taken but it still wasn’t the same as real memories made on the beach and in the town or on the cliffs.
“Can we come back next year?” Luhan asked after a heavy silence had settled over the car. No one had spoken; all lost in our own thoughts.
“I wouldn’t mind,” I commented as I reached out my hand and placed it over Jongin’s which was on the gear stick. Again, just as when we had set off, I rolled the window down and let the breeze fill the car as we sped along the roads.
“Neither, it was great,” Jongin commented as he squeezed my hand and focused on the road.
“Ditto.” A reply fit for Sehun came from the back of the car and the three of us laughed. He whined in the back of throat before letting out a sigh and everyone settled back into a calming silence.

“I need the loo,” Luhan’s whiny voice woke me up from my sleep. I rubbed a hand over my face when his words made something click in my brain, and suddenly I needed it as well.
“Same, Jongin can we find a place to stop,” I seconded Luhan whilst sending Jongin a pleading glance. With a nod he pulled into the nearest gas station and filled up with petrol. Luhan and me were in charge of grabbing snacks after we had been to the toilet. As we walked through the door, Luhan let out a shout and ran forwards; leaving me stranded like a fish.
“Kris Wu!” I heard his voice from a few aisles away so I hurried through to him, bowing to the shopkeeper as an apology. I rounded the corner and came to see a very handsome and tall blonde man with an un-amused expression on his face.
“Luhan! How are you?” He asked in a deep voice with a slight accent which led me to believe he wasn’t Korean. I slowly made my way towards them before stopping next to Luhan and waiting to be introduced.
“Good, good, this is Taemin,” Luhan smiled and flung his arm around my shoulder. I quickly shrugged him off and bowed to the new male I had never seen before. On further inspection I saw that his features were well chiselled and his eyebrows were a main feature on his face.
“I’m Kris and this …” I turned to see a smaller male making his way towards us from behind. He was a lot shorter than Kris and had a thick line of eyeliner to accentuate his eyes. He had a crop of brown hair as well as a fashionable outfit and a shopping basket in one hand. “… is Baekhyun, my boyfriend.” Damn.
“Ahh Sehun is in the car with Kai,” Luhan sent Baekhyun a smile before carrying on with the conversation. From the way he was acting, I guessed Kris was a bit of a sore subject for Luhan.
“We should go,” I said before anything got awkward. Luhan nodded and just walked away, surprising me as he headed silently towards the bathroom.
“What wa~” I started but was interrupted.
“Don’t ask.”

The rest of the car ride flew by with Luhan sleeping on Sehun’s shoulder for a change. No annoying chatter filled the air but I couldn’t help but wonder about Luhan and Kris with Baekhyun. It was scary at how he had changed and I couldn’t help but feel uneasy about it. Luhan was, in fact, my friend and it worried me to see him like this. Did something happen that I could relate to? I made up my mind to ask Jongin later and then Luhan another time when he was in a better mood.
“Bye guys speak soon,” Sehun smiled, actually smiled, as he led a sleepy Luhan to the front door of their apartment with the bags balanced in his arms. I waved once before turning around and waiting for Jongin to take me home. “
Do you want to stay over?” I asked without thinking as we pulled up onto the drive. Jongin only nodded as he stretched outside of the car and went to fetch our bags. I gulped in a shaky breath as I hurried to the front door and fumbled with the key in the lock; the thought of Jongin staying over finally hitting me. Would he sleep in the guest room? Would he want to sleep with me?
“Are you ok hyung?” Jongin’s voice came in my ear. I jumped and let out a small shout before frowning at him and trying again, this time successfully getting the key into the door and opening it. Jongin immediately headed upstairs with the bags to dump them in the room/s whilst I put the kettle on, just wanting to have a drink. It was already dark outside and I couldn’t be bothered to cook so I flicked through the take-away leaflets.
“What do you want to eat?” Jongin asked as he joined me and flicked through the ones I had tossed to the side.
“I don’t know. Shall I just order a pizza?” I asked as I scanned through the flavours. I was met with a nod and soon a pizza was on its way.

The light from the TV screen lit up the room and sent beams of light from the windows out onto the dark street. The sound wasn’t too loud as we sat in the brightly lit room and ate our pizza that came only moments ago. Even though my favourite show was on, I couldn’t bring myself to focus on the screen, instead letting my mind wander about the happenings of today. What was going on with Luhan?
“Jongin-ah?” I decided to ask my boyfriend. He would tell me right?
“Mmmmm,” he hummed as he stuffed another piece of cheesy pizza into his mouth. I laughed as the sauce dripped down his chin and hit the plate below on his lap.
“Who's Kris? And what happened between him and Luhan?” I asked. I knew the answer wasn’t a good one when Jongin’s eyes grew wide he nearly choked on the food in his mouth. I frowned when he set his plate aside and looked at me in the eyes.
“When did he say another about Kris?” he asked as though this information could save lives.
“Well we met him and his boyfriend in the gas station today. Luhan was friendly until he introduced us to his boyfriend. He then left as soon as I excused us and then he slept the rest of the way home.”
“Ahh well, I can’t tell you. Luhan will have to another day but just don’t probe too much,” Jongin warned before pulling me into his lap. I pouted before snuggling into his side and committing that to memory.
