Miyo’s POV

Damn youngmin, why won’t you answer your phone?!

 

“we’re here! go! now!” Naeun parked her car on the nearest parking lot in front of the front door.

 

“we should split up, that way we can look for youngmin faster.” Sohyun said while kwangmin, naeun and I nodded.

 

We went inside the airport and headed towards different directions.

 

I called youngmin again for the nth time hoping for him to answer it this time, but unfortunately still no answer.

 

I ran heading to who knows where. There’s so many people here but I’ll never give up.

 

As I was about to enter youngmin’s number on my phone again, a caller id flashed on the screen of my phone.

 

Youngmin’s POV

“yah youngmin, why aren’t you answering your phone?! Don’t you know that I’ve been looking for you for ages?! Where are you?!” Miyo shouted over the phone, she sounds angry well that’s obvious.

 

“it doesn’t matter.” I said.

 

“it doesn’t matter?! I’m here at the airport right now! everyone’s looking for you so shut the crap up and just tell me where you are—“

 

“aissshh just stop looking for me! my flight’s gonna be on the next 30 minutes so just listen to whatever I’m gonna say!” I shouted on the phone making her silent.

 

“ok here goes nothing. Kim Miyo, I really really really love you, even when we were still children I’ve already loved you. I wished that we could see each other again, well we did but I didn’t know that you were that girl who I first loved. even without knowing about that, I fell in love with you…even if you broke my heart two times already…hahaha…funny how love makes people stupid right?” I chuckled over the phone.

 

“wait how did you know that I was the girl that you’ve always played with before?” miyo asked with a curious tone in her voice.

 

“remember the night when you fell asleep after rummaging thorugh my things? I saw you holding my blue hairpin together with your red hairpin… well that explains it all.”

 

“wait you knew that I went inside your bedroom?!” miyo exclaimed earning a small laugh from me.

 

“duh. I know my bedroom. And if someone enters it, I’ll notice it at once…and wait! I’m still not done talking! Where was I…oh yeah! I already know that you don’t like me even when we were still children. I heard you and another kid talk about us…”

 

*FLASHBACK OF MIYO AND YOUNGMIN’S CHILDHOOD*

hmm..where’s miyo? I wanna play with her!

 

I skipped through the rocks and saw miyo with another girl.

 

I ran towards them and was about to shout but stopped when I heard them talking.

 

“hey miyo, you and youngmin are really close huh?” the girl said.

 

Of course we are close like duhh.

 

“yup. Why’d you ask?” miyo answered with a smile.

 

“well I just wanted to know if you like him..you know, if you like youngmin?” the girl asked miyo with a hopeful expression.

 

Of course miyo likes me! we even promised to be together forever, is this kid stupid or what?

 

“ani. I don’t like him.”

 

I don’t like him…I don’t like him….I DON’T LIKE HIM.

 

No this can’t be…I must be hearing things…

 

“you don’t like youngmin?” the girl asked while his lip curve upwards.

 

“yup you heard it right. I don’t like him.”

 

Miyo doesn’t like me? then all those promises….NO!

 

I ran from the scene with tears flowing through my face, hoping that everything was just a nightmare.

 

*END OF FLASHBACK*

“so that’s why ever since then, you never came back to the bakeshop!” miyo said with a ‘matter-of-fact’ tone.

 

“if you were me, would you go back if you knew that the one you love doesn’t like you? of course no—“

 

“of course I’d go back.”

 

“why? it’s no use right. you’ll only hurt yourself more—“

 

“babo!”

 

Miyo’s POV

“babo!” I said as I continued walking hoping to see youngmin.

 

“what?! you called me a babo?!” youngmin exclaimed earning a chuckle from me.

 

“yes you’re a babo because you didn’t bother listening to the whole conversation!”

 

*FLASHBACK OF MIYO AND YOUNGMIN’S CHILDHOOD…AGAIN*

“you don’t like youngmin?” Nayoon? Nayeon? Aissh I forgot the name of the girl who  asked me with a smile forming on her face.

 

“yup you heard it right. I don’t like him.” I answered back confidently.

 

“really—“

 

“of course I don’t like him… I LOVE him. I really really LOVE youngmin!” I emphasized the word so that this Na—girl would stop asking any more questions. She’s actually irritating…

 

“but does youngmin like you?” the girl asked withdrawing her smile.

 

“of course, we promised to be with each other together forever.”

 

“but..”

 

“I know you like youngmin, na-err…or whatever your name is…yeah but sorry…”

 

*end of flashback*

 

“I LOVE HIM!” I shouted while stopping to a halt upon seeing a yellow headed man in front of me.

 

“I LOVE YOUNGMIN!” I yelled loud enough for everyone to hear including the blondie who turned to face me.

 

I ran towards the man and tackled him to a big bear hug. I don’t care about what other people say, all I care about is youngmin right here.

 

“yah, you’re a real babo youngmin! You didn’t wait for me to finish my sentence!” I shouted while tears were forming on my eyes.

 

“how would I know that you also love me?! besides you’re a babo too!” youngmin laughed while pulling away from the hug.

 

“what…me?” miyo asked with a bemused look.

 

“yes, you are a B-A-B-O. you just made me miss my flight!”

 

“FLIGHT 717: AIRPLANE FROM SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA TO LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, USA HAVE JUST TOOK OFF.  PASSENGERS WHO MISSED THE FLIGHT WILL HAVE TO TAKE THE NEXT FLIGHT AT EXACTLY….” A lady spoke through the speakers.

 

“but oh well. I can just take the next flight—“

 

“andwae! You’re gonna stay here with me no matter what!” I wrapped my arms around him again earning a chuckle from him.

 

“hahaha! This babo is very selfish huh, even stopping me from studying abroad…but because of this babo, I missed my flight. If I didn’t miss my flight then I wouldn’t have found my perfect girlfriend…” youngmin smiled which made me giggle like a 5 year old girl.

 

Youngmin leaned forward to which I close my eyes when suddenly, I heard a click and a flash was brought into both mine and youngmin’s faces.

 

“ehem..” kwangmin coughed while smiling.

 

Naeun was beside him…blushing.

 

“oh please do continue. I was just taking a little souveneir for minwoo—“

 

“yah sohyun quit that! erase that picture! We look so stupid in there!” I ran towards sohyun hoping to grab her camera but she dodged it really quickly. Aisshh this girl!

 

“thanks man. I don’t know how to thank you enough…” youngmin said as he hugged kwangmin.

 

“no worries. youngkwang?” kwangmin smiled back as youngmin pulled away from their hug.

 

“youngkwang.”

 

Youngmin then turned to face Naeun who was avoiding his gaze.

 

“look youngmin, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to—“

 

“it’s okay. everything’s fine. Just as long as you and miyo are on good terms now then we’re okay.” youngmin ruffled her hair which made naeun show a faint smile.

 

“so… everything’s cool now huh. Let’s celebrate!” sohyun jumped up and down while everyone just laughed at her.

 

“I should probably call the two moms…” youngmin whispered to my ear.

 

“yeah I think you should. But let’s just cherish this moment first—“

 

Youngmin cut me off with a kiss. Aisshh really this boy. What will I ever do without you?

 

“I love you miyo.” Youngmin beamed.

 

“I love you too…my perfect boyfriend.”
