What Now?
Memories of Her.
Hyoyeon twiddled her thumbs and stared forward at nothing. What had just happened was too overwhelming
for her. Just as she had finally got the courage to tell Lay how she felt, she told him the wrong way and let it
tumble out of her mouth. To make her feel that much worse; Lay had rejected her and left for a girl on another
planet who only yesterday he hadn't even known. Hyoyeon blamed herself. My did she think she had a chance
with Lay, he was handsome and perfect, of course he had a girlfriend! Hyoyeon let out a cry that she muffled
with her hands as her head fell forward. She was alone now. Ryeowook was gone, Kyuhyun would kill her,
and now Lay and Amber had left too. She was so, so alone.
Hyoyeon sat bolt upright when she heard noise from within the house. All she could think of was that B.A.P
or Kyuhyun had found her, and were going to kill her. She stood slowly with tears wetting her eyes and
cheeks, blinking fragilely as she turned to the doorway. She would stand and face him, if it were. She would
show whoever was left - not her dead parents, not her deadly ex-friend, not her late friend, not her crush and
not even that Amber girl she had only just gotten to know - None of them but whoever would see. She
would show them how brave she could be. She approached the hallway slowly, looking for movement in
the shadows. It was silent now, as if each was stalking the other.
"Oh thank god!" Amber's voice breathed out as she emerged from the shadows. Hyoyeon almost collapsed
from relief. It was an ally, and she wasn't alone now.
"Amber! Where-"
"We haven't got time for that!" Amber was worn out, little known to Hyoyeon that would never stop her. "We
have to prepare, now!" Hyoyeon grabbed her shoulders to slow her down.
"Prepare for what?" She asked quietly. Amber calmed herself by taking a deep breath.
"Hyoyeon. This time, you don't have a choice." She replied. "There's going to be a war here on earth, one that
isn't between humans. In order to save not only earth but the rest of the other planets with life on them
throughout the galaxy; you need to help us." Hyoyeon's eyes were wide.
"W-War?" She stuttered. "Wait-"
"It's a simple relay job." Amber cut in, pulling out a crumpled sheet of paper. "Lay gave me all the information
back on EXO; there are special phials full of 'energy booster' that the guardians can't keep on their person,
but will desperately need during battle. Its our job to relay the phials directly to the guardians when they call us."
"B-But during a war!?" Hyoyeon cried. "We'll get killed!" Amber shook her head.
"No, each guardian knows about the relay job and has given their word that they will protect us with their
lives. My friend Taemin has the telepathic ability, he'll establish a link between us and the guardians so we
can hear when they call us. We then follow the homing pigeon that my other friend Onew has given us to
where said guardian is."
There was a long silence, and Hyoyeon tried to fathom all of the information.
"We need you..." Amber said quietly. Hyoyeon loosened her grip on Amber and let her hands fall to her sides.
"I'm sorry... I don't know if I can-" She took a breath. "It's an interplanetary war we're talking about! I would
only get in the way and end up giving the phials to the enemy by mistake."
"Hyoyeon." Amber spoke her name softly. "If you're not doing it for me... Do it for Lay. If he dies in this
battle... Everything you've had to go through until now would have been for nothing." Hyoyeon took a breath
as Amber paused. "And Kyuhyun and B.A.P will end up murdering this planet. They'll literally the life
from earth and use it for their own..."
"I..."
"Please..." Amber waited for Hyoyeon to look her in the eye. "Please..." Hyoyeon sighed. This was a decision
that would affect the entire galaxy, not only her. Her answer was important. Would she help EXO? Would she
decline to preserve her own life? Amber could feel herself getting anxious as the ticking from the wall clock
echoed loudly in her mind.

"What the are we supposed to do now?" Himchan kicked an empty beer can across the hard wooden floor.
"Wait for instruction from Kyuhyun." Yongguk said sternly. "He knows what he's doing." Youngjae sat against
the wall on the floor and sighed unnoticeably. His eyes were half-lidded and his spirit almost gone. Without
Zelo - his 'brother' - things would not be as easy for him anymore.
"Well I'm bored." Himchan opened a window and threw his gum out of it, watching it fall a few stories before
narrowly missing a pedestrian.
"Well for God's sake Himchan, at least be mature enough to not harass the civilians." Jongup moaned.
"Shut up you idiot!" Himchan lashed his hand out at Jongup, expelling digits from his finger tips as bullets.
They flew towards Jongup - who withdrew a piece of metal from his pouch and formed a shield with it. Before
the digits could reach him, a thick leaf sprouted from the floorboards and the digits bounced off of it, dropping
to the floor. Both Himchan and Jongup froze, stepping out of fighting stance and putting their weapons away.
"That's a little tedious, don't you think?" Daehyun's voice may have been calm, but that was what scared them
more. He didn't have to look at the boys to block the attack, he could sense it in the air. His attention had been
focused on a magazine the entire time. Himchan looked at Jongup, the same thoughts in their eyes.
'I wish he had never changed.'

Daehyun sat on the porch, a reluctant tear trailing its way down his face. He would always get made fun
of - despite his position as Warrior - for his power. He had a weak heart, and everyone at his school would
constantly make fun of him for his fragility. Today had been the worst. During P.E class Daehyun found it
hard to run as fast as the others. Not because he was physically inadequate - but because the field in which
they ran on was covered in small flowers and plants that hid among the short grass. Daehyun never wanted
to step on them, because otherwise he would hear them cry out in pain. Daehyun was the only one who could
hear the voices of plants. His world was loud and crowded - often giving him a headache. That was why he
disliked loud noises and talking so much; it would only add to the chaos in his head.
As Daehyun ran around the last corner, he noticed that their teacher had already left the sports field as the
bell had rung for the end of school and it was the students job to clean up after each P.E lesson. Just as he
was about to run over the finish line, he heard a bloodcurdling scream from behind him as he turned around
to see another student ripping a flower from the ground by its roots. Daehyun clenched his jaw and squeezed
his eyes shut trying to rid himself of the scream, when the flower corpse was thrown at his face.
"What's the matter, flower boy?" they jeered at him. Daehyun could hear the shrieks of horror as each of the
flowers wanted to escape. Every flower on the large field was screaming, and it was all inside Daehyun's head.
"I said what's the matter!?" The boy kicked Daehyun over as the Warrior clutched his head. "Weak little !
You don't deserve to be a Warrior! What kind of power is the ability to control flowers?" They kicked him
again and stormed off angrily.
"Let's get wasted tonight and pick up some chicks!" One boy said. "I'll take my parent's car." Daehyun lay
there on the ground until he was sure they were gone. He knew he could never fight those boys, so it was
safer to wait.
He still had bruises from where the boys kicked him, so that was why he was still sitting on the porch outside
his parents house. They chose to live in a small house, not like the other Warriors. Daehyun didn't want his
parents to see what had happened to him. The porch door opened with a slight click and his mother emerged.
She instantly saw the bruises on his arms and sat down beside him.
"Aigoo what happened?" She asked him, her voice full of concern. Daehyun avoided her eyes.
"Just some kids, its the same as always." There was no use hiding it from her now.
"If they're doing things you don't like, then tell them!" His mother was unaware that this kind of tactic
wouldn't work. As far back as she could remember, her husband had always been there for her even before
they were married. "You've got to stick up for yourself. Be assertive. Your ability is something with greater
power than you think, and I know that one day, you'll be the strongest Warrior there has ever been." She
smiled at him, causing him to smile lightly. "Don't give up Daehyun; become strong, and earn respect."
When Daehyun was woken in the middle of the night by his father, he knew instantly that something was wrong.
"Son." His father said grimly. "We've received some terrible news." The shadows covered his fathers face, so
Daehyun couldn't see at all how his father was feeling. Daehyun stayed silent. His father didn't look like he
was kidding around.
"You mother was... Killed in an accident. From the police report I was told that two boys from your school
and two girl from another were killed after they crashed into your mothers car at 150kmp/h. They were drunk
and had apparently stolen their parents car for a night on the town." He could see his father shaking, and so was
he. His beautiful, kind mother whom he loved with all his heart was dead, and he knew exactly who to blame.
The only problem Daehyun had was that he couldn't avenge his mothers death. It was unfair and cruel, but
those he wanted to kill were already dead, with no input from Daehyun whatsoever. It was from that day he
decided to truly heed his mothers final words to him:
"Don't give up Daehyun; become strong, and earn respect."

Their eye contact was broken when Kyuhyun finally entered their small apartment.
"What's the plan?" Yongguk asked.
"I'll read you through it in a second." Kyuhyun replied. "All you need to know now is that I'm declaring a state
of war. Lay has recovered all of his memories, and if we want to have any chance of harnessing EXO Planet's
powers, we need to attack now."
