Joy.
Memories of Her.
His heart beat a little faster when he heard her name. What was wrong with him? He had never
felt that way before in his life, he knew that much. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind,
and shoved his hands into his pockets.
"Nice to meet you..." He mumbled, and walked past the group. Ryeowook frowned and watched
him walk past.
"Weird..." He said.
"You can talk." Kyuhyun shot back with a smug smile. Ryeowook looked like he had been shot as
he held a hand to his heart dramatically.
"I. Am. Not!" He said in an exasperated voice. "How could you?" Kyuhyun turned around and
ignored the boy, heading back to his house. Ryeowook's mouth hung open in disbelief as he
watched the two others walk away from him. "Fine!" the boy yelled "I have better things to do!"
Ryeowook stormed off down the street towards his favourite shop, in the mood to spend his worries
away.
~*~*~
"Wookie!" Minri squealed as she saw her best friend enter the expensive shop. Ryeowook beamed
and made his way over to her, his mood instantly lightening.
"How are you Minri?" He asked. She smiled in return.
"Super excited!" Minri replied. "You know that new accessory store that's been moving in down the
street?" She clapped her hands excitedly.
"Oh my gosh yes?" Ryeowook said, growing slightly excited.
"It's opening in like thirty minutes!" Minri said, her grin growing wildly. "And I end my shift in ten!"
"OHMYGODWEHAVETOGOTOGETHER!" Ryeowook yelled excitedly, earning weird glares from
spectators. Minri paused, tilting her head.
"I thought you would go with Kyuhyun?" she asked. Ryeowook's face turned back to its prior grimace
as he kicked his feet on the ground.
"He's being stupid, both him and Yeonnie."
"What about that new boy you guys are hanging out with?"
"Who, you mean Lay?" Ryeowook asked, his eyes slightly sinking. "He's... Not well at the moment."
"Oh, I hope he gets well soon then." Minri said with a soft smile.
"Me too..." Ryeowook's face sunk slightly, but regained its prior happiness once Minri began jumping
up and down excitedly.
"Oh my gosh my manager just sent me a text saying I can knock off early from work today because he's
out at a meeting!" She squealed. "Let's go accessory shopping!"
She grabbed Ryeowook's hand and practically dragged him out of the store and down the concrete
footpaths until they reached the new accessory store; 'Etiquette'. It's large pink painted walls stood at
an impressive two stories high with large black italic writing on the sign above the door. Hundreds of
girls and a few boys here and there polluted the store, barely enough room to move.
"There are so many people in there!" Minri pouted. "Will there be enough room for us?" Ryeowook stared
into the store for a while, before nodding confidently and grabbing Minri's hand protectively.
"I'll make room! There's no way we're missing out on this!" Ryeowook pulled her through the crowd and
into the shop, disappearing into the sea of people.
~*~*~
"Geez, I mean he's a good guy but sometimes he takes things too far, you know?" Kyuhyun said with
attitude as he sipped at his bubble tea. He and Hyoyeon had decided to head into town after Ryeowook
had left in a huff earlier that morning, and since then all Kyuhyun had done was complain about their
over-dramatic friend.
"I know, but there's nothing I can do about that!" Hyoyeon sighed in frustration. A teenage girl rushed
past her and almost knocked her over, were it not for Kyuhyun steadying her with both arms.
"Woah! Watch out!" Hyoyeon called after the girl, who didn't even seem to notice.
"Are you ok?" Kyuhyun asked, taking his hands from her arms. She nodded with a frown.
"The nerve of that girl..."
"Where do you think she was going in such a hurry?" Kyuhyun said, watching her figure disappear
down the street. Hyoyeon huffed and crossed her arms, blowing the hair from her face.
"Probably to that stupid new accessory store that's opening today." She replied. A grin appeared on
Kyuhyun's face as he poked her shoulder.
"I thought you'd be into that stuff because you're a girl." he said playfully. She glared him down to size
and hit his arm.
"Don't confuse me with someone who would be excited about this." Hyoyeon scoffed. "I'm not a -
WOOKIE!" She suddenly yelled. Kyuhyun laughed and frowned in confusion.
"No, you're not Ryeowook." Hyoyeon shook her head vigorously and hit Kyuhyun's arm repetitively,
pointing with the other hand.
"No, No! Look, over there!" she said, pointing down the street. "It's Wookie! And he's with a girl!" She
wore a grin from ear to ear as she watched the pair with eagle eyes.
"He finally got the guts to ask her out, huh?" Kyuhyun smirked, folding his arms. Hyoyeon was silent for
a long time, staring after them as they disappeared into the shop holding hands.
"Let's follow them." She giggled, an evil grin on her face.
"You're so stupid." Kyuhyun laughed, shoving her by the shoulder. She pouted, shoving him back.
"Yah, I am not! I think it'll be interesting to see our little Wookie on a date anyway though don't you?"
Hyoyeon pulled Kyuhyun's hand out from his crossed arms, and he finally gave in with a sigh.
"I guess so..." He said, smiling lightly. He had always wanted to see how that metro-ual, over-dramatic
idiot would handle a date with the girl he liked. Who knows, he might even man up a little for her. He
chuckled to himself before nodding his head and walking down the street towards the massive crowd.
Hyoyeon giggled and followed him down the street, hiding behind trees and lampposts on her way down
unnecessarily. Kyuhyun frowned and stopped, giving her a weird look.
"You know he can't see us, right?" He asked. "He's inside the shop... Wookie can't see through walls."
Hyoyeon's bubbly attitude dropped with her eyebrows.
"I know, I was just trying to make this into an adventure." she replied, walking grumpily from behind the
tree she had been peering from behind.
"Whatever, let's hurry before he ends up leaving the store." Kyuhyun sighed, crossing his arms. Hyoyeon
nodded and followed behind him like a duckling down the street as Kyuhyun peered around the corner of
the shop to see into the giant glass windows. He couldn't see past the giant sea of girls and whipped guys
that were packed into the shop and squished against shelves. It was a wonder nothing was broken.
"It's no use, there are way too many people in there." Kyuhyun sighed, turning back to face his friend.
Hyoyeon took a deep breath and puffed out her cheeks.
"You obviously don't shop enough." She breathed out, taking Kyuhyun's hand in a firm grasp before charging
into the shop. Hyoyeon dodged the crowd with expertize and precision, Kyuhyun being narrowly squeezed
to death by everyone he came in contact with. Hyoyeon suddenly stopped, causing Kyuhyun to slam into
the back of her from momentum. She scowled, but quickly came back to her senses when she heard
Ryeowook's voice once again.
"There he is, over there." Hyoyeon said over the noise from the crowd. Kyuhyun followed the direction
her finger pointed in to see a bright-faced boy smiling next to a cheery girl. Ryeowook looked much
happier than the last time they had seen each other.
"Would you look at that..." Kyuhyun mumbled, a smile appearing on his face. "I wonder if they're a couple yet?"
"I hope so. If not then he needs to get his into gear and ask her already!" Hyoyeon yelled a little too loudly.
Ryeowook looked up to see them, as the two tried to hide their faces out of embarrassment for being in an
accessory store. They weren't exactly the most fashion conscious people around, and they knew they would
never live it down if anyone found out they were there.
"Yeonnie? Kyu?" Ryeowook asked, a confused smile appearing on his face. "What are you guys doing here?"
Minri pulled on Ryeowook's shirt with a fresh-faced smile.
"Introduce me Wookie!" She said excitedly.
"Yeah, introduce us, Wookie." Kyuhyun said with a stifled laugh, earning a glare from Ryeowook.
"Yeonnie and Kyu, this is my friend Minri." Ryeowook said, stressing the word friend. And Minri, these two
idiots are Hyoyeon and Kyuhyun." Minri grew a large smile on her face as they were introduced.
"Nice to meet you." She said.
"Same to you." Kyuhyun replied casually, while Hyoyeon tried to contain herself. A girl rushed past the group,
accidentally bumping into Minri and making her loose her balance. She fell forward, but was steadied by
Ryeowook. Hyoyeon let out a fan-girl scream and clapped her hands as she tried to hide her face. Ryeowook
groaned and gave the two a look.
"You guys, it's not - "
"Hyoyeon Unnie?" A girl's voice asked. It was a junior from Hyoyeon's school. Hyoyeon froze. "Wow, I never
thought you would be the type to shop here of all places." Hyoyeon shook her head with a nervous smile, but
before she could reply the girl had taken a picture. "Wow, the senior girl's will never believe this!" And before
Hyoyeon could even try to grab the camera from her, she disappeared into the massive crowd. Hyoyeon's face
was bright red with embarrassment and anger.
"Okay, I think we'd better leave before any more of us get our reputations ruined." Kyuhyun said, obviously
meaning his own. He dragged Hyoyeon out of the store just as she had done with him when they first entered,
and with that left Ryeowook and Minri alone.
"Your friends are quite... Lively..." Minri said awkwardly. Ryeowook nodded and sighed.
"Sorry about all that. Sometimes Yeonnie can get excited over nothing."
"No, it's ok. It was nice meeting them anyway, I've been wanting to meet them for a while. You always talk about
them so much!" She said with an eye-smile. "It's a wonder you can survive with such characters." Ryeowook
laughed.
"Oh it's challenging because they're so dramatic sometimes, but I endure it anyway." he replied. Minri started
laughing harder than she had before. Ryeowook was being serious but he couldn't see the humour.
"What? What's so funny?" Ryeowook asked, clearly confused. Minri just laughed and shook her head.
"Come on, this place is starting to get to my head." She said, grabbing Ryeowook's hand to lead him out of the
store. "Let's go get some ice-cream."
Little known to the others, Lay had gone back to the park to see if he could find the thugs that had beat him up
around a week ago. Maybe he could get answers from the little blonde boy he had seen. Not in a threatening way,
of course. He would simply ask why they didn't want him to find out who she was, and then go from there. It
would be dangerous to face them again; but Lay was determined. He would do anything to find out more about
the mystery girl.

Hey guys... I feel down...
There was meant to be a concert here for Phantom, Verbal Jint and Ulala session, and I had V.I.P tickets to let me meet them and I was gonna be in the fifth row from the stage... And it was cancelled... That would have been the first Kpop concert in New Zealand.
They were also gonna get Jay Park here if that concert went well, but now there's like no chance of any idols ever coming here because the organisers didn't advertise the concert at all.
I washed and groomed cars for my entire holiday break to pay off those tickets, some cars had toenails and chewed gum ground into the carpet, and even if we do get refunded, Dad will get the money, not me.
On a lighter note, I morphed EXO's faces in their OTP's to see what their babies would look like, check it out in my blog post! Link below:
