As much as both of the leaders of ENDO wanted the fight to end then and there, it wasn't over yet. The
 starfish began to quiver and bubble, Onew's eyes widened as he yelled for Victoria to get back. A large
 hole was made in the back of the starfish when something burst out of it on a long pole. When Onew 
looked up after shielding himself with his arms, he saw what he had dread. Himchan covered in the
 blood, stomach acid and innards of the starfish covering him and his dark hair matted to his face. He 
was covered in cuts and burns, his skin red and raw. What Onew thought was a pole was his broken 
spine, piled up and stretched out as long and high as possible to suspend him in the air. A new spine had
 grown in its place, and Himchan's blood was hotter than ever now that he was freed. His breaths were
 angry and ragged as he stared down at Onew.

"So that's how you wanna play it, huh?"

As soon as he arrived, he could tell this would be an easy fight. Just by looking at the two boys he could
 tell. One was fire, the other was light. Their aura's gave it away immediately. As for him? Jongup 
controlled metal.

"Yo, sup." he said, stepping over a tall plant, his eyes half lidded and uninterested. Chanyeol frowned.

"Uh... Not much?" he answered, confused.

"Cool." Jongup replied. "Guess we better do this battle thing then, huh?" Chanyeol looked at Baekhyun who
 just shrugged, looking as confused as Chanyeol.

"Yeah, sure." Baekhyun replied slowly.

"After you." Jongup sat down on a rock near him.

"After- Is this guy crazy?" Baekhyun whispered loudly to Chanyeol.

"Maybe he's just looking down on us. Don't drop your guard." Baekhyun nodded and created a flash of light
 to send at Jongup whilst Chanyeol sent a stream of fire at the same time. When the glare cleared the two 
of them looked up to see Jongup completely unharmed, a large metal shield placed in front of him. Baekhyun
 cursed under his breath. Of course he had been so casual. This fight was easily on his side. The metal would
 reflect any light and absorb any fire.

"Ok, now it's my turn." Jongup said, standing up. Baekhyun became suddenly more weary as he realized how
 powerful this opponent could be. Jongup's shield split into thousands of tiny shrapnel and turned towards 
the two of them. All he had to do was blink, and the shrapnel flew towards the two of them, piercing their 
bodies with enough force to go completely through to the other side of each of their torsos. Thousands of 
tiny holes began to seep out small trails of blood, but the damage was inside their bodies to. Chanyeol breathed 
out harshly to control the pain and used his power to seal the wounds shut with heat. It was excruciating, but 
would help him fight for longer. The metal shrapnel withdrew to Jongup and reshaped itself into a ball in his palm.

"That's all?" He asked. "Doesn't take much to take you down, does it?" Baekhyun hissed in pain as he stood up.

"Don't think we're done yet." He growled, suddenly stifling his pained cry as Chanyeol sealed the wounds on
 his body too. Normally he wouldn't bother, but that much internal damage could have them dead in minutes.

"Look, you two seem like cool dudes. What do you say you just give it a rest and stay out of our hair? I'll leave
 you alone to heal and you two can just stay here and say I beat you. Deal?" Jongup looked serious about his
 idea, whereas Baekhyun scoffed at it.

"You idiot. We risk our lives for our planet just the same as you do! There's no way we'll ever back down!" He
 knew it was unlikely that thy would beat him with their disadvantage, but he wouldn't stop just because of 
that. Jongup sighed.

"I thought you might say that. Oh well, don't say I didn't give you a chance." In that instant both guardians were 
pinned to the ground by thick metal cuffs, their limbs held steady so they couldn't move and inch. The rest of 
the metal grew enormous and sharp, forming a massive blade that hung in the air above them.

"I didn't want to have to cut you in half, but I guess I have no choice now." Jongup said this so casually that it 
made Chanyeol shiver when he thought of how many other people he had killed like this before them. "Night 
night." Chanyeol and Baekhyun looked at each other in a desperate glance before the blade came falling down 
on them and everything disappeared.

Every attempt they had made thus far had been futile, as Yongguk's power enabled him to manipulate
 the surface friction of anything he wanted. Every time Key had tried to land after jumping, Yongguk 
would change the surface friction of the ground below him to nothing so that he fell, and would then
 glide swiftly across it to deliver a punishing blow. Ren was able to keep up with the sheer speed of 
Yongguk, but also had to be careful he wouldn't suddenly go too fast and do damage to himself if he 
crashed.

Key wiped the blood from his split lip and stood up.

"Stop playing with us and fight!" he yelled. Yongguk let out a pitiless laugh.

"I haven't fought anyone with this intent in a long time." He said. "Let me have some fun before I kill
 you, okay?" Ren sped up behind him and brought his fist down in the soft of Yongguk's shoulder. The
 latter was taken down from the blow but was quick to recover as the surface below him quickly became 
frictionless. Key tried to slide along the same ground to attack him, but Yongguk stopped sliding and
 changed the ground to have an enormous amount of friction. Key stopped in his tracks and almost fell 
over himself from the momentum, and Yongguk jumped up and landed in a tree. Ren sped towards the
 tree, using his momentum to try and climb it as an attempt to reach Yongguk, however the latter 
changed the tree's friction and all Ren was left to do was slide down it.

"Face it you two. There's no point in trying, I won this fight from the beginning!" he said loudly, a smug
 look on his face. Key growled and used his gravity to pull Yongguk out of the tree and pin him to the ground.

"Don't ing underestimate us." he said, slamming the heel of his palm into Yongguk's jaw. He wouldn't
 give up this fight no matter how disadvantaged they were.

"I'm a leader. You two are soldiers."Yongguk said. "We've done our research on you and I know that neither
 of you are the ones with the flying ability, which means there's no way for you to beat me. You can only
 stand on the ground using friction, which I control. The two of you are dead meat." Ren faltered a little 
after hearing he was a leader. The most powerful of an entire planet, and he - someone with less than a year 
of training and not even a proper guardian - was to fight him and kill him. Key looked to him and sent a 
telepathic message;

"Don't worry, I have a plan." Ren nodded inconspicuously and looked ahead again. "When I dash forward,
 put as much speed energy as you can in your feet. Kris isn't the only one who can fly." Ren didn't know 
what Key was planning or thinking, but he trusted him. He had witnessed first hand his determination, 
strength, and intelligence during the last war. Key's mind worked differently from the others. Yongguk raced
 forward using his ability, and at the same time Key dodged and raced forward as well. Ren recognised the 
signal and focused all of his energy into his feet, feeling an enormous power build up beneath them.

"Now jump!" Key cried in his mind, and Ren immediately did so. He jumped a lot higher than he thought
 possible, and much to his surprise, did not come down. Key had repelled Ren from the ground and used 
his speed to keep him up there. Ren didn't have to ask what to do next. Yongguk had practically told the 
guardians how to defeat him and now they had a chance. Ren dashed forward through the air and struck 
Yongguk, who then slid freely across the ground at an outrageous speed. The two of them began to fight
 at such a speed that Key grew dizzy trying to keep up with the two of them. He would help from here he
 could, but now it was up to Ren to finish him off.

Lay sat leaning against one of the walls of the earth box D.O had created for the potions.

"How are you feeling?" A small voice came from around the other side, and Lay knew it was Hyoyeon.

"A lot better, thanks. He replied. Hyoyeon smiled. It was good to hear. She knew she couldn't be with Lay, 
but it seemed what jealousy she might have had was stripped from her when she realized that he was never
 hers in the first place. Now that she saw you - the aura around you - she knew you would take good care 
of him.

"Would a potion make it any faster?" she asked. Lay shook his head.

"If it was a power depletion, it would. But this is like being tired after running a marathon or climbing a 
mountain. My body needs time to rest like anyone's would." Hyoyeon nodded, looking over at Suho.

"He's... There's something not quite right about him..." She said quietly. Lay hummed and looked over to 
where she was looking. Suho sat in deep concentration hearing all telepathed thoughts from every guardian. 
This way he could keep up with what was happening at each sight. It was like millions of voices in his head
 but he knew each one and wrote down notes in a book accordingly.

"Yeah." Lay said with a gentle nod. "It's probably because of every non-human you've been around lately that
 you noticed it, but his aura is nothing like his face. You get used to it when you're around him a lot" Lay 
paused. "But when you see him for the first time you can't help thinking he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. A 
demon who skinned an angel. Our leader is like that, some say he's the most deadly creature in the known 
universe - but only when you make him mad. Otherwise he's as kind and gentle as ever." There was a long 
pause as Hyoyeon stared at Suho for a little longer, taking in the meaning of Lay's words.

"That's so... Terrifying." She said blankly. Lay nodded.

"When you think about it too much; it is. Just be thankful he's on our side." Hyoyeon nodded, still looking over at Suho.

She almost screamed when his head suddenly darted up and made eye contact with her, a frown covering his face.

"We've got trouble." He said gravely. "Kyuhyun has arrived."
