It Could have been Easy.
Memories of Her.
They felt the world fly past them for a second, and felt as if they were falling. Chanyeol squeezed his eyes
shut and Baekhyun did the same as the blade came falling down on top of them.
But when both guardians opened their eyes again, they were completely unharmed.
Chanyeol slowly un-scrunched his eyes, fear perspirating down his forehead. He looked over his body,
completely unharmed. The only thing different was the large rectangular hole that he now lay in at least
10 feet in the solid clay-like earth. Slowly looking upwards he saw the large blade stuck deep into the
mouth of the hole above him starting to retreat back to where Jongup had been casually standing, as did
the metal restraints. Chanyeol let out a shaky breath in relief but stay lay on his back in shock.
"You guys ok?" A familiar voice called. He heard Baekhyun reply, and sat up slowly thanking his heavens.
"I'm fine too!" Chanyeol finally replied. "Thanks you guys, I don't know what we would have done without
you!" The earth beneath Chanyeol raised upwards until it was at ground level again, and D.O laughed,
lowering his hand.
"You would have died, idiot." he replied. Chanyeol scoffed and stood up, dusting off his clothes. D.O had
saved them from the blade by lowering them into the ground at the last minute. It was the only direction that
was really free for them.
"Where's Kai?" Baekhyun asked, joining the two. "And the guy we were fighting?"
"Over here!" Kai called from at least 20 metres away. Through the trees Chanyeol could see Kai holding
Jongup's arms in a restraint hold, having him pinned up against a tree. Kai had been taught this hold from
Xiumin while they were training to protect himself against Victoria. The way he held the opponent meant
his toes pressed Jongup's feet against the tree, his arms wrapped Jongup's hands behind his back and his
chest was pressed to the tree thanks to Kai's torso. If Jongup wanted to attack Kai, he would have to risk
hitting himself, too. There was no other way he could attack or move. The others made their way over to
Kai and stopped a few metres away from him. The hold also meant they couldn't hurt him, unfortunately.
"He controls metal, huh?" D.O asked. Baekhyun nodded, watching the two carefully in case of escape. "Then
this should be interesting." Chanyeol smiled, knowing their odds were now even. This fight would surely be
interesting just as D.O said, as metal is found deep in the earth, and almost all earth contains metal. Jongup
and D.O's powers were evenly matched, and it was possible for one to control the others. Chanyeol reached
out an arm to steady himself on a nearby tree. Usually he wouldn't be so tired but after using his power to
seal at least 10,000 holes twice - something he had almost never done - he was beginning to feel the effects
of fighting on earth.
"You ok man?" Baekhyun asked quietly. Chanyeol nodded, a slight frown creasing his face. He wouldn't
waste the potions if he could help it, he would ride out his energy as long as he could.

The intense battle raged on, but to Key it looked like a blur. He could only see the colours and the shape - nothing
else. It was hard to focus only on Ren and keep him in the air while he moved so fast, Key's eyes felt like they
would fall out if they kept moving.
"Interesting technique you have there." Yongguk said amidst the battle. Ren threw a punch and Yongguk brought
his left arm up to block it and throw it off.
"Interesting because you don't know about it." Ren replied, sending another punch systematically towards his gut.
Yongguk caught it and pushed it away, using his other hand to aim an uppercut at Ren's jaw, hitting it forcefully.
"Interesting because you're no more powerful than you were before." He said with a smirk. Ren wiped the blood
from his mouth. "I thought at least you'd have some new attack or something but you're just as weak as before." His
voice became like venom as he grew tired of the fight. He was just playing around with the two of them before, now
he was serious. Yongguk slammed his palm-heel into Ren's solar plexus, sending him flying backwards and skidding
across the ground. Finally Key could rest his eyes. Ren hissed as he sat up, feeling the cuts and bruises through the
ripped back of his shirt. He quickly rolled out of the way as Yongguk came speeding towards him, and jumped up
onto his feet.
"Back in my domain, huh?" Yongguk let out a condescending laugh. "I'm not surprised. You two are no match for
me anyway." Ren leapt forward with a growl, determined to prove him wrong. Yongguk slid out of the way casually
and let Ren land on the frictionless ground again, his momentum making him slide eve faster until he hit a large tree
face first. His skin split open in various places on his face from impact, and Key ran over to help him. As he crouched
over Ren, just about to call for a potion; he heard Yongguk chuckle.
"Would you look at that..?" He said sinisterly. "There's no friction in the ground holding the roots of that tree in place.
Isn't that strange?" Key's face turned white as he looked up to see the 30 metre high tree falling towards them. He tried
to pick Ren up and help him, but before he could move another inch - the tree fell on top of them, falling faster than
normal because of reduced air friction. Yongguk laughed and shook his head as the movement under the tree ceased.
It could have been so easy for him to kill them, but he decided to use a tree that would only knock them out, it wasn't
heavy enough to do more than break a few bones - but it would keep them trapped, which was what he needed. He
stepped over Ren's scratched and bruised arm that lay on the ground from under the tree and walked out of the clearing
into denser bush. He could sense a large power source from the centre of this forest, and he knew the others could too.
He would get there first, he had mad up his mind. He would get there and so help him he would take the power back to
the already barren Mato. Even if there was no one there any more, he would never break a promise, especially to his sister.
He would bring power back to Mato - at all costs.

Hearing a tree fall in the forest made Daehyun pause suddenly, as the scream was louder and more pained and afraid
than a normal plant. It sounded like the tree was apologising as it fell, too. He shook his head and commanded his giant
venus fly-trap to shoot towards Krystal, who dodged it and rolled behind a bush, changing into a jaguar. She leapt out
of the bush and grabbed onto the top of the venus fly trap with her front paws, her massive claws digging into the top
of the plant. Daehyun ordered the trap to open its mouth wider and tilt its head upwards to try and swallow her, but
Krystal pulled herself up in the nick of time and used her claws to cut large slits in the plants 'head' as she slid down
it like a cat on curtains. When she reached the neck she slit it in one quick swipe and left the plant to fall to the ground
with a dull thud. Daehyun flinched a little and his lip curled into a snarl. He was used to the dieing screams of the plants,
that was true, but that didn't mean they didn't bother him. The screams only reminded him of the sound of screeching
tires the night his mother was killed.
Krystal saw that he was momentarily distracted, and used the chance to pounce on top of him and pin him down, her
claws digging into his shoulder. Minho put his hands over Yongguk's eyes and used a technique similar to Baekhyun's,
taking the light out of his eyes to he would be blind. Krystal dug her claws in deeper, but suddenly retracted them as
her face became shocked. She changed back to her normal self and looked backwards to see her feet - bound by the
same poisonous vine that had cut Minho. Minho looked at her in shock as suddenly she was whipped up into the air
and slammed into the ground like a rag doll. Minho tried to run to her, but the vine wrapped around his leg and did the
same, leaving him laying next to Krystal. He tried to get up, rolling over to see Krystal unconscious next to him. No
doubt she had a few broken bones, and she was poisoned now too. Daehyun began to walk away into the bush he could
feel a strong source of power in the centre of the forest.
"G-get... Ba... Here..!" Minho choked out, beginning to feel dizzy and weak. This wasn't good. Daehyun didn't stop or
turn around. Minho watched him disappear into the thick trees as he rolled back over to see Krystal. Both of them were
poisoned - Minho had taken a double dose - and Krystal was unconscious. They were alone in the forest and no one knew
what had happened to them. This was really not good. With the last of his energy Minho sent a distress signal to Suho
knowing he could send help, knowing he could send Lay. He collapsed before hearing a reply, the invisible fighters lay
side by side in a bitter end to the fight.
