"Lay..?" Luhan was the first to speak. "Why are you-"

"What's going on?" Sulli asked. "Didn't he lose his memories?"

"I thought he was mortal now..." Taemin said with a frown. The stirring among the guardians had caused Kai
 to glare at Suho, who thinned his lips and stared at his feet as he tried to think of a way to explain what had 
happened. You passed Lay his shirt which he swiftly put on, and he approached the small crowd outside
 your room. Luhan suddenly darted forward and threw himself at Lay, throwing his arms around the tall boy.

" man..." He said quietly, his voice breaking. "Do you even know how much we all worried about you?
 Why are you here?"

"It's ok Luhan-ge, I remember everything now. It's like I never left EXO in the first place." Luhan paused, 
pulling his head back to look Lay in the eyes. Luhan's eyes were wet, now.

"Thank you..." He said, fighting the tears. "I never got a chance to thank you properly. You saved my life at 
the cost of your own. Thank you."

"I know you would have done the same." Luhan nodded and smiled, wiping his eyes and moving back to the 
large group. You approached Lay and he turned around to smile at you, reaching out for your hand. You held 
onto his and walked by his side as the two of you walked towards the other guardians.

"Well?" Kai said coldly. "Aren't you gonna tell us everything Suho?" The leader had been thinking for a while,
 and turned to Kris, who nodded.

"I suppose there's no point in calling a meeting because you're already all here, so let me explain what's going
 on."

While Suho told the other guardians why Lay was back, why he remembered everything and how that was 
possible, Lay put the puzzle together in his mind. Kyuhyun wasn't just after him anymore.

"And what about Amber?" You suddenly spoke, taking Suho aback.

"Yes Hyung, what about Amber?" Kai asked. Key's ears perked up and his attention was fully focused on Suho 
despite his early morning weariness. Suho sighed.

"I'll take this one." Kris said, patting Suho's shoulder. "Because of the healing effects of the tree of life, when a 
guardians dies on EXO they are given a kind of checkpoint to continue their life on earth. The only problem is 
that they're mortal now. It's the same thing with Ren, but opposite. He died on earth as a mortal unaware of his 
powers, so he was given a checkpoint here on EXO as a guardian."

"So then what about Amber? What are you saying?" Key asked, approaching Kris.

"What I'm saying is, Amber is alive on earth exactly the same as she was here. But she's mortal now and has no
 powers. She can't return to EXO." Sehun dropped slightly, and was supported by Luhan. Key had to hold 
himself together before looking at Lay. He mentally calmed himself.

"...Did you meet her?" He asked quietly. Lay nodded.

"I did."

"Is she doing well?"

"She's doing just fine." Key smiled, tears biting at his lids.

"That's all I need to know." He said, nodding. Although he wanted to see her more than anything in the world,
 there was no way they could be together even if he did ever have the courage to tell her his feelings. She was
 out of reach now, and Key had matured and realized that with a heavy heart. Lay began to think about how 
Amber and Hyoyeon would be on earth. There was every chance that they were being held captive and 
interrogated for answers on where he was at this very moment. There was every chance they had already been 
killed. There was every chance Kyuhyun and the Warriors were either on their way to EXO right now, or were 
wreaking havoc on earth, waiting for him to come back and save the day. Waiting for him to fall into their trap.

"Kris, Suho; I have urgent news." Lay said boldly Suho could see that Lay's eyes were full of concern.

"Go on."

"Two enemy planets have combined forces to take EXO down. They attempted to kill me first because without 
a medic, any army no matter the size is weak." He reported, gently squeezing your hand. "There are high 
possibilities that they are either on their way here after figuring out where I had disappeared to... Or they're on 
earth hurting innocent people for our sake."

"I've had reports of activity lately concerning exactly that." Suho replied.

"What do you propose?" Kris asked. "That we prepare for war? Some of our guardians still haven't recovered 
from the EXO/ENDO war."

"What I propose is," Lay intercepted Suho's retaliation. "That we stay on high alert until tomorrow morning. 
In that time I will take it upon myself no matter how arduous to heal every guardian to maximum health. These 
enemies are far stronger than you think." Before Luhan could disagree; Lay spoke again. "Tomorrow morning 
I suggest an ambush.We will have to fight on earth but will be at no more of a disadvantage than they will. We 
will lure them to an isolated zone with myself as bait," Lay knew if he used his powers, Kyuhyun would come 
to them instantly. "And subdue the enemies from there." Suho thought for a while, mulling over any possible 
flaws in Lay's plan and how to overcome them. It was obvious he had spent a long time thinking of this. In the 
end he nodded, still frowning in thought.

"Who are the enemies?" He asked.

"Their leader is Kyuhyun. He betrayed me and killed my friend."

"The last of the Supermen of ELF Planet." Suho said, a slow nod.

"The others are the Warriors of Mato Planet, with the exclusion of Zelo."

"Why Zelo?" Lay paused.

"He went against his own planet to help my friends and I. He is a traitor that's true, but he is doing so in our 
favour." He finally replied. Suho nodded, taking mental notes.

"I'll take your word for it. I know I can trust you, Lay." Suho said. "The rest of you; go and prepare yourselves.
 Don't let your guard down at any time and when Lay calls you, come straight away." The other guardians 
nodded. "Taemin, do you think you can set up a telepathic pathway from Lay to each guardian?" Taemin
 nodded and walked over to Lay, placing two finger on his forehead and outstretching the other arm. You let 
go of Lay's hand or else it could affect you as well. The reality was frightening. You had only just had a large 
war where your friends - your family - were risking their lives. They barely survived that battle and now they 
had to go into another one, not to mention how you had only been reunited with Lay for one night before he
 was in danger of being taken away again. You gaze shifted to your feet as you began to think of the possibilities 
of war. You felt a gentle thumb lift your chin up so you were looking into your lovers eyes.

"Don't be so down,____." Lay said sweetly. He kissed your forehead gently. "I promise you; I won't ever leave 
you alone again." You smiled lightly at him and he gave a gentle peck on your lips. You were afraid, that was true
 - but in a way your fear seemed irrelevant when Lay was near you, and when he spoke to you in that tender 
tone it was as if the fear never even existed. Your trust in Lay was more powerful than anything. He had 
promised you that regardless of time or place, the two of you would always be linked together by your souls. 
He promised you he would return to you no matter what.

So when he promised you that he would never leave you alone again; it was the most obvious choice there was 
to trust him.

Suho had let the others off to get changed and begin preparations, while Lay had something else to do. He
 told you to go to your room and pack a small bag with essential things - who knows how long this would
 take. Baekhyun had already created batches upon batches of energy potions - a newer tonic that he had
 recently discovered upon harnessing the glow of the tree of life. It would restore energy to the guardians 
when they needed it, but it was only temporary. Lay had instructed you to take as many of these as you could.

Baekhyun had gone out a few minutes after Suho had released everyone to collect more light. It was better 
to have more of the endless supply rather than run out. Baekhyun slowed his pace when he saw a figure crouched
 over at the shrine by the tree of life. It was Lay. Baekhyun approached him with a light smile, standing behind 
him. He saw a picture of Sujin and a picture of Amber; but Lay was paying more attention to a third picture. 
A new addition to the shrine, and a man Baekhyun didn't recognise. He waited until Lay was finished before 
crouching beside him.

"Who's this?" He asked politely, his voice gentle so not to offend Lay or open any fresh wounds. Lay smiled 
lightly. The portrait of the man he had taken with him before he left earth was the same one that had been at 
his funeral. He looked happy, handsome. It was the day of his graduation, though instead of a gown and a cap
 he wore a suit and tie. His smile was radiant and his eyes slightly wet as he proudly held his diploma in front
 of his chest. Lay ran his fingers over the cold glass of the frame and let out a soft breath.

"Who's this?" Lay repeated, quoting Baekhyun. "He's a hero." Baekhyun remained silent, waiting for Lay to
 finish.

"I promised him the second I got my memories back I would make him a shrine here. He saved my life, Baek.
 He's a hero." Baekhyun nodded bowing slightly at the portrait with his eyes closed.

"I would have liked to meet him." He whispered. Lay nodded.

"Yeah, I think he would have liked you, too."

"How are you doing up there, Wookie?"

I'm getting really pissed off hearing about those 'fans' starting fights outside SM and making immature arguments over the 
internet about this girl and that boy. For God's sake if you're going to be their fan, do it properly! I know if I heard one of EXO
got a girlfriend I wouldn't be jealous, I would be proud that he had found someone he loved. 

This fandom is getting a worse name than it started with.

On a lighter note, Happy New Year! ^^ My internet is still terrible, but meh...

I don't know how many of you actually saw the last update because the number of chapters didn't change. I replaced the note
with a chapter so... go and read.. :)
