Immediately when I left the apartment I went to the park. It was raining and that wasn’t the greatest situation because that could fade the smell away. Worriedly I arrived at the park and the bench.

I closed my eyes and hoped that the smell would be still here since one day past.

I inhaled through my nose and separated the different smells. After some inhaling I got the familiar smell of that day and of the man. I printed the smell in my head and followed its tracks.

Not knowing to where I was heading I just followed the smell and my instinct. I had this ability to remember a smell forever and follow it to wherever. As you could say, I’m a tracker.

I followed and followed. In the meantime I was soaking wet but I didn’t mind. I had to find that man and get back with answers.

After some time crossing streets and turning around I came to a thee place. I entered the place and tried to dry myself a bit before I went through the main doors.

I looked around, there he was. In the corner drinking slowly and peacefully. Determined and relieved I walked towards him.

‘Uhm sir ? I’m sorry to interrupt y-‘

‘I was already expecting you, please, sit down young lady’ He smiled at me.

Confused I listened to him and sat down in front of him.

‘Here have some thee, it won’t taste as bad as other drinks.’ He poured some thee in a cup and placed right in front of me.

‘I suppose you know what I am then ? Because you say it like that.’

‘Yes of course my young lady. And I have experience.’

‘Y-You mean t-that you are like m-me. B-but I can’t feel you ?’ I felt so stupid for stuttering but I couldn’t help it with him saying that he is a vampire also.

‘Yes I am, well that’s because I don’t show my presence to everyone. I’m not the strongest anymore so it’s safer like that.’

‘May I ask how old you are sir?’

‘Of course you can, I think around 900.’

I couldn’t bring out any words anymore. This man is the oldest vampire I have ever met and probably will meet. I thought I was pretty old because every vampire I know is younger than me.

The old man broke the silence.

‘But I suppose you are here to clear something up so go ahead young lady.’

‘Uh, yes. There is a human who seems to get the attention of me. And every time I see him I get the feeling I want to protect him. Yesterday he almost got attacked by two other vampires but I saved him. He was lucky I followed him the whole day. But in my vampire existence I never had this feeling over a human. A stranger. For the first time I had a nightmare this night. You were in it too. I know it’s supposed to mean something but I can’t figure out. The only clue was you sir.’

‘Yes I am glad you got the information. I’m sorry that it had to go through this way but it seemed like that was the only option.’

‘I don’t get it sir.’

‘I have known Eunhyks mom a long time. She was a normal human, very tender and sweet. Because of me she got into a lot of trouble. I was always protecting her and caring for her. One day I was too late and a vampire got her. I killed him before there wasn’t a single drop of blood in her body anymore. She had enough blood in her body but not enough to survive. She only had a couple minutes left I thought. I didn’t want to lose her, I gave her my blood. She had vampire blood in her body. She hated me for doing that to her but later she could understand it and accepted it. After a long time she got married and gave birth to Eunhyuk. She had struggles with raising him. She required his blood and decided it was for the best to leave. She killed herself and Eunhyuk was left with his dad. His father was devastated, I explained everything so he could understand but unfortunately he didn’t. He simply left. At least that was what I thought for a long while. When I brought Eunhyuk to Leeteuks parent who could raise him well I found out that Eunhyuks father didn’t simply left. He went nuts, he developed a hate towards vampires. Before he had a perfect life with his wife and kid, but he thought they were both taken away by vampires. Eunhyuks father became a vampire hunter. As soon as he realized he couldn’t win against creatures like us he became one of us. A vampire killing vampires. He is very strong and because he thinks Eunhyuk is one too he wants to kill his son.  Eunhyks mom never would have wanted this all and I definitely know Eunyuks father doesn’t either but he changed a lot. And now he is after Eunhyuk. I’m not strong anymore so I can’t protect him. I have observed you for a while now and pushed you towards him, although you both did most of it yourselves. Please, may I ask you a big favor. Can I ask you to protect him ? You are the only one who is qualified to do this. ‘

When he was done with his story he looked sad. I needed a moment to let it come and understand. Finally I said something because I couldn’t get one thing straight.

‘I don’t get it. Eunhyk had a vampire mom so he carries her blood, then why did you say; He thought they were both taken away by vampires ?’

‘That’s true but his mom also had human blood. No one knew she gave her human blood to Eunhyuk and his father’s blood was clean. I found out when Eunhyuk grew up, I suppose that’s the reason why she had so many struggles raising him. She couldn’t control her thirst with him because he was fully human. Unfortunately Eunhyuk’s father doesn’t know that fact. Even when someone would tell him things are different, he would kill his son to protect him against becoming a vampire.’

‘Okay that makes thing clear.’

‘Yes,but someone has to protect Eunhyuk? I don’t know what might happen and you might die if things aren’t under control.’

‘But you will be there also right. I mean close by.’

‘Yes, always.’

‘I’ll do it.’

‘Thank you so much, so so much I owe you my life.’

‘It’s alright.’

‘I understand. Although you don’t think it yourself. You are a good person young lady. You just have to smile more often.’

Before I could say anything back he stood up and left.

I punch myself so hard cause everything I write from now on is confusing as . I'm so sorry but in the end I'm trying to get everything clear xD And I suppose you need a really good memory for this story ^^ that might help x'D
