The New Her

Mrs. Bae was worried why her daughter is not yet around. She tried to call Suzy but she was not answering. Then later someone called, “Umma! I’m home!”

“Suji-ah!” Mrs. Bae’s eyes widened. “Who are you?”

“Aye. Tsk. Umma, Bae Suji.” Suzy pouted.

“Seriously? You’ve changed a lot. You look great!”

“Kamsahamnida. You look like you have seen a ghost eh?”

Mrs. Bae smiled. “Ani. You are very beautiful, Suji-ah.”

In the morning, Suzy went to school. She was more confident to walk alone. No one teases her again. Almost everybody was staring at her. “Who is she? I never saw her before. In the classroom, Lu Han was waiting for Suzy. “She’s late again.”

Later, Suzy came in and seated beside Lu Han. “Oppa, I’m early!” She smiled.

Lu Han slowly looked at her and his eyes widened. “Su-suji? Is that you? Wow!” He was captivated with Suzy’s smile. His heart skipped a beat.
