Flower Child
Yoonhae cried as her grandmother patted her back soothingly.
"It's okay Yoonhae-ah… My poor Yoonhae," she told Yoonhae soothingly, trying to get her to calm down with the crying.
"I don't even know what I did wrong, grandmother! What could I have done?" Yoonhae sobbed bitterly.
"Maybe Luhan has just lost his way."
Luhan started to run — hard. His feet crunched through the snow, his sneakers getting wet because they were the fabric kind. As he exited the path, he turned and bumped into a group of boys.
"Yah! Watch out where you're going!" the guy who Luhan had just bumped into chided.
Luhan groaned, before bowing.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled, before getting ready to start running again.
"Wait… Luhan?" Jongin asked, as he realized that it was Luhan who had bumped into Minseok.
Luhan's head snapped over to the side.
"Hyung?" he asked.
"Luhan! Where were you today?" Minseok exclaimed cheekily.
Luhan grinned sheepishly.
"I.. er, had something to do today, so I couldn't come."
Jongin smirked.
"You know they gave out the awards for best soccer player of the year today," Jongin said, in a sing-song voice.
Luhan's eyes widened.
"Really? No way!" he exclaimed.
Kyungsoo grinned, before nodding his head. He pulled something from Jongin's backpack.
"And guess who's name is on it?" he asked, before waving it in Luhan's face.
Luhan snatched it, and his eyes roamed the trophy. There, on a mini plaque at the bottom, was Luhan's name etched onto the surface. Luhan gasped in surprise.
"M-me?" Luhan asked, before grinning at trophy.
Jongin nodded his head and smiled.
"Yeah kiddo! You've earned it!" Minseok gushed, before patting his back.
Luhan grinned, mischievousness flashing through his eyes.
"How come I got it, when you claimed that you were the best soccer player hyung?" Luhan asked Jongin, who then pinked just a bit.
"Well… Since we're seniors, they decided not to count us anymore," Jongin lied, before shrugging his shoulders.
The other laughed, and ruffled his hair.
"Don't lie to the kid," Kyungsoo scolded, knocking his shoulders with Jongin.
"Anyways, for congratulation purposes, we wanted to take you out for some dinner! It'll be great!" Minseok informed.
"Yeah, we're going to go eat some grilled meat, before we have our own personal match of soccer," Jongin added.
Luhan smiled. Yoonhae wasn't going to mind if he apologized to her tomorrow… right?
Zhu Hua, who was now a spirit, shook his head in disapproval. Maybe his choice was wrong. He shouldn't have given it at all.
