Chapter | Four

*there's a bit of cussing in this chappie (only one word actually). hehe so if you don't like profanities, i'm warning you first<3

The air felt chilly. You latched your hands around yourself and rubbed your arms for warmth. The streets were deserted and most of the shops had closed for the night. Your footsteps were quick and light. You had no intention of staying out too long in the dark.

‘If only Hyunsik oppa is with me right now.’

You were walking near the park when you heard a thin branch snap. Your ears perked up and your eyes darted from left to right. You started to brisk-walk and your hands were fidgeting. You hurriedly crossed the road that divided your street and the park. A gush of cold wind blew your bangs out of your face.

‘Please don’t let that be a stalker, or worse, a thief.’ You thanked your lucky stars that at least the street lamps were on. It managed to decrease your fear even if it was just the slightest bit.

You were too busy with your own thoughts that you failed to notice the crack in between the pavements. Your feet clumsily tripped over the crack and you fell onto your knee, scrapping your knees in the process. Your palms turned red and you winced. You looked around. There was no one. ‘Ugh. What the hell was I running away from?’

You stood up and checked your bruised knee. You bit your lips and your forehead creased. ‘Tsk. I’m going to have to treat this later once I reach home.’ You were about to walk again when you felt a strong grip on your shoulders. In a swift movement, you felt your back hit the wall and you gasped, startled.
