Chapter | Twenty-Four

Right on the dot when the teacher dismissed the detention group, you stood up, placed your reflection on her table and zoomed off to find Luhan. The teacher had called out your name to remind you of not coming in late again and to nag at you about your tardiness but…ain’t nobody got time for that. You jogged down the flight of stairs and skipped your way to the benches hurriedly.

From afar, you spotted Luhan and unconsciously, a soft smile formed on your face. Slightly tip-toeing, you went around his back and peeped at his face. His left hand was stretched out on the table and his head was resting on his arm. He was using your bag and his haversack as a pillow.

‘He’s sleeping!’ You quietly gasped and stared at his sleeping figure. ‘Omo, I feel bad for making him wait.’ You your lips and bend down to observe his face. “Luhan,” You barely whispered. He kept still so you moved a bit closer. “Luhan, ireona~” You gently spoke. Luhan began to stir and you thought he was going to wake up but instead, he wrinkled his nose and went back to sleep.

Your eyes immediately trailed his facial features from his eyebrows to his eyes, his nose and finally down to his perfect lips. A tingling feeling spread throughout your body and you could almost feel the hairs on the back of your neck stand. ‘What do I do? I can’t leave him here.’

Slowly you reached out your hand to shake him awake when he startled you by grabbing your wrist. Your eyes widened and you jumped back, completely caught off guard. Luhan sat up and smirked at you. “Yah mwoya?!” You placed a hand on your chest. “What were you going to do~?” He teased you. Your cheeks instantly turned crimson even though you weren’t going to do whatever he was thinking.

“I was going to wake you up aish.” You mumbled unhappily. Luhan stared into your eyes and laughed. He found it amusing that you were embarrassed. “Weren’t you sleeping?!” You pouted at him for pulling such a trick.

Luhan shrugged his shoulders and smiled ‘innocently’. Your heart was still thumping madly at the shock he gave you. “That was mean. I got really scared.” You pulled your bag but Luhan grabbed it away from you. “I’ll carry that.” He said as he stood up. You stood there awkwardly and waited for him while he brushed dirt from his pants. Luhan slipped his hands into yours and grinned at you.

“So where are we going?”

You arrived at the mall and entered the double doors. As soon as the cool air-con hit you, you inhaled and let out a big sigh. Luhan squeezed your hand and smiled at you. You felt a surge of energy hit you when he smiled at you that way. It was so sincere and filled with so much…love. Your eyes softened and you tightened your grip on his hand.

“What are we getting here?” Luhan looked at the large shops around him. “Firstly, we’re gonna get food.” “Food?” Luhan’s eyes lit up. “You’re hungry aren’t you?” You giggled and pushed his forehead playfully with your index finger. He patted his tummy and nodded. “Kinda.” “Let’s look around and see what we can eat.” You beamed at him.

After walking around for quite some time, the two of you managed to spot a shop that sells noodles right opposite the mall and immediately asked for a seat for two. “Ahjumma! Two bowls of Naengmyeon please!” You pulled a chair and ordered politely. “Ne agasshi. Ah would you like it cut?” The kind lady who looked like she was in her thirties asked. “Ani, gwaenchanhayo.” You shook your head and
